Recently purchased a property with the support of Liam Taylor in sales and arranged my mortgage with the guidance of Marc Shaw. I could not been more pleased with the level of service received by both gentlemen. Liam was extremely professional and acted quickly to ensure the purchase was agreed, dealing with aftersales queries equally as fast. Thank you. Marc went above and beyond to ensure that my mortgage application was done rapidly so that the purchase could be completed ASAP. Marc was in regular contact on an evening and weekend to deal with my case, providing me with constant updates on the progress of my application and offering professional guidance at every opportunity. Not being able to visit Marc in person was not an issue, as everything Marc was explaining to me over the phone was shared 'live' on screen so that I could see the same facts and figures he was looking at. I would thoroughly, and have done already, recommend Marc to anyone looking to mortgage a property. Thank you both again.

WOW what a joke these are William H Clown. Massively over priced our property to get the work. Hassled us to lower the price shortly after. Promised to call back on 3 different days and never did. Made excuses as to why they could not do viewings at the weekend so I did these myself. WILL NEVER USE THESE CLOWNS 🤡 again …

I’ve had a really good experience with William H Brown. They are really helpful and easy to contact when needed. When we got our property they welcomed us with a box with gifts! Left my house sale stagnant for 4 weeks, no feedback, no updates. Lied to me and said all was fine when I called up despite there being clear issues financially hence why nothing had progressed. Within 4 weeks of it being sold I was still being told all was fine, sold sign was up, there was no memorandum of sale despite chasing it twice, there was no contact with my solicitor at all. Then after I went in and had to demand to know what was happening I got told that they didn't know and the Sales Progressor couldn't understand my frustration as it had only been a few days since a price was agreed, really I get it to 4 weeks was my response. I then asked for it to be put live immediately, an open house organised and the other people that offered to be contacted with some serious feedback ASAP, I also put a complaint in and asked for the Area Managers details. The sold sign is still up 10 days after the sale has fallen through with no sign of it coming down, it took a week for them to make it active online after I asked for it to be done and they lied and said it has been done when they called me up, they are refusing to give me the Area Managers details and are completely dismissive of the fact they left a sale for 4 weeks with no action and didn't tell me the buyer wasn't financially viable. The Branch Manager is trying to tell me they didn't know but her Mortgage Advisor and Sales Progressor have already told me they knew but were trying to sort it Lies lies lies! Mariella the Manager you should be ashamed, ashamed for being dismissive, ashamed for not giving me your Managers details hiding WH Brown Barnsley's errors. You should also be appalled to say to me that the open house still hasn't happened despite me asking over 10 days for one to be organised and now asking me if I want one when I told you 10 days ago I did, and also saying that the sold sign should have come down but didn't happen because you weren't there last week. Well you've been back a week and it still hasn't happened. I got told when I signed up be careful they are an office full of rookies, I trusted them from Mariella's own words and I'm not eating my own words.

Really lovely estate agents. I spoke with Liam first of all who helped me pick various properties to view. Once he'd got a feeling of what I wanted from a property I was kept updated with anything new on the market and viewings were arranged promptly and around my shift patterns. I found him extremely friendly and approachable and would highly recommend him. Any questions I had were responded to either by phone or email extremely quickly. I then went through Josh to sort out my mortgage. Again, a friendly, professional person who explained everything clearly to me and was up front about costs and time scales. After a blip due to my circumstances, Josh was quick to find the right mortgage for me that was affordable and suited my needs. Overall these guys have been great. Being a first time buyer, the whole process was daunting, but due to their great communication I'm on my way to getting my first home. Thanks everyone.

William H Brown's in Barnsley have been absolutely fantastic throughout the sale process and I cannot rate them highly enough. I initially used the online valuation request tool, and within a few minutes received a phone call and booked a valuation for the following morning (days and in some cases weeks before other companies could arrange a valuation). Michael who valued my property gave a fair and realistic valuation and was extremely helpful. Upon signing my contract to use Brown's to sell my property I received regular updates by phone and email and it was only 2 weeks before my property went live. I started to get viewings quite early and Liam in the sales team gave me regular feedback following viewings. He really went the extra mile to promote my property and was a constant delight to speak with over the phone. I arrange a mortgage appointment with Joshua at Brown's at very short notice, and Joshua was also a credit to the company providing more than just a mortgage quote but also liaising with another branch when I wanted to put an offer on a house in a different area. With Joshua's help I am in the process of purchasing my dream home at a fantastic price. My only negative experience has been with the conveyancing solicitors which were recommended by William H Brown's, whom have been very slow and reactive rather than pro-active throughout the process. However, Dawn at Brown's stepped in to offer support and liaise between my conveyancing solicitor and my buyers solicitor to ensure that the sale completed without further unnecessary delay. Without Dawn's intervention the sale was at risk of falling through and I will forever be indebted to her for her help. I started the process at the end of September 2018 by first contacting Brown's via the online valuation request, and today (mid February 2019) my sale has completed, considering the market is generally slow over the festive period Brown's did well to push things through. Thank you to everybody at William H Brown's in Barnsley, you are a great bunch of people doing a fantastic job!!

When did your staff forget how to treat people like humans!!! Absolute disgrace never have I been spoken to in that manner before telling me to make calls to see if I can get an update!!! No call backs after leaving messages and avoiding questions asked via email!!! I feel like I’ve been robbed let down!!! Lost two house sales due a lack of communication!!! Never would I recommend these to a friend or family member or even a first time buyer!!! Eager to take our money maybe you should teach your staff how to put this much effort into customers!!! Absolutely shocking service no correspondence while selling a property with them, completely forgot to tell me about one viewing then couldn’t even find details of it happening showing a lack of communication in the branch would really recommend you go elsewhere. Mines been up with purple brick for 5 days and sold showing these lot really have no idea Even now I’ve withdrawn my property from sale with them it’s still online and I’ve told them 3 times to remove the advert! Candice was no use at all too
