When we decided to sell our house, we arranged for several agencies to provide us with sales advice, including the estate agency that works on a flat fee pricing model rather than the conventional commission model. We were immediately comfortable with the Banstead team (John Ralph and Tom Iddenden) due to their knowledge of the area, advice on marketing, and valuing the property. The quality of the property particulars they produced, with emphasis on photography, floorplans and informative text placed on several online property portals, was done in a timely manner and to a professional standard. During the sale, we were routinely updated on the progress of the sale, and supported with sound advice throughout the process. The Banstead team made this usual stressful activity very convenient and efficient.

Should you prefer the hard sell with one of the more corporate type of approach, with pressure all the way then go ahead. The choice is yours. However, you could select an alternative style, as we did with The Alternative Agent, who will treat you with courtesy and respect, and will support you if there are stumbles along the way. They may even put the kettle on if you need to talk. Yet at the same time, they will beaver away to secure a buyer in the quickest time possible. In our case within days.

I can’t sing the praises of Tom and Chris at The Personal Agent enough. We viewed a property with them before we decided to sell with them and they were the only agent who showed up on time and was friendly and didn’t treat us as other agents had (like we were too young to have a clue). We then got various valuations for our home and TPA came the same day we enquired- again on time which seems to be an issue with other agents. They gave us a realistic valuation and weren’t patronising at all in their assessment. Once we chose to go with them a photography team came, such lovely people who were efficient and respectful and produced fantastic images and video which I’m sure is what helped to sell the property. The morning after we went on Rightmove we had viewing requests which quickly stacked up. We ended up blocking them all in to a Saturday and five days from advertising our home we had the offer we wanted! In the meantime we had our eye on a home that ticked most of our boxes but TPA went above and beyond and got in touch about a property that may suit us which hadn’t gone to market yet. We was able to view it before it was advertised and have had an offer accepted on it shortly after. It’s so refreshing to work with a team of young agents who know what they’re doing and look out for your best interests. I can’t reccomend them enough.
