In a very difficult market, John and Kai at the Banstead office persevered until our house was eventually sold. They conducted viewings with great professionalism and kept us regularly informed of feedback. John Ryan in particular was always an encouragement to us when offers did not materialise. Once an offer had been received, Mark was a great help in negotiating a reduction on our new-build home. Overall, an excellent experience with the service promised at the outset delivered all along the way. I definitely recommend The Personal Agent.

The personal agent has been brilliant, Isabel is a lovely, friendly agent, had a lot of knowledge about the houses she showed us, even thou on one she was covering for a colleague. We have not found the one, but she has suggested other viewings that are very close to our needs. We were in the process of purchasing a property through TPA. We instructed solicitors and paid for a Level 3 survey with a surveying company recommended by TPA. Following the survey and legal enquiries, it became apparent that the property was not as advertised. After lengthy email correspondence and no responsibility being taken by TPA, the matter was referred to The Property Ombudsman. The Ombudsman’s findings made clear that the seller had informed TPA that the fourth bedroom did not have building regulation sign-off. Despite this, the property was still marketed as a four-bedroom home. As a result, we experienced significant delays, wasted considerable time and effort, lost our buyer due to the delay, and have been left substantially out of pocket. The Ombudsman awarded us financial compensation from TPA however, this amounted to less than one third of our overall financial.

After previously leaving a 5* review at the beginning of the process of buying a property through The Personal Agent (after being asked by Samantha to do so), I'm amending my review accordingly. The initial viewing was pleasant and Samantha seemed friendly and willing to help, which we were grateful for. However, once liaising directly with the vendors after our second viewing, it came to light that the agents had outrightly lied to both parties, subsequently causing unnecessary pressure and panic. The branch manager, George, and Samantha were constantly (and quite rudely and abruptly) chasing both parties and our solicitors multiple times a day, pushing for unrealistic timeframes that no one had agreed to. Once called out on the relentless chasing, Samantha's response was unprofessional and ultimately stated that it was her job to chase and that our message would not deter her from continuing to chase persistently until completion. Having a number of experiences with estate agents throughout our property search, and speaking with numerous people who have had similar experiences, it seems that most branches of The Personal Agent are only interested in earning their commission, and don't truly care about their clients, which is evident in how both parties are treated. If considering selling or buying a property through any of The Personal Agent branches, I would strongly recommend not to.

We have just completed and moved down to Cornwall after a very stressful couple of months. The Personal Agent team at Banstead were able to sell our house the week after we put it up for sale with just 3 veiwings.They were absolutely brilliant in the way they were able to liase between all parties to ensure clear communication and kept us updated on the sale etc...As the sale was about to complete there where a few hiccups (solicitors not estate agent related) and Simon Tongue was actually more helpful and informative than solicitors acting on our behalf. We won't be moving again hopefully but if we did we would hope the estate agents would be as fantastic as The Personal Agent team.
