We have had a difficult time trying to find somewhere to rent. Bourne Estate Agents were by far the most helpful, they actually proactively worked to find us somewhere whilst other estate agents really were not interested. Their honesty was also much appreciated. We were led along by others even when there was little prospect of success. Thanks especially to Alice.

GoogleBourne dealt with the sale of my mother's flat effectively and professionally. When the legal process became prolonged and tricky, Roanna kept everything on track with her updates and contact between all the parties. I am very happy with the service from Bourne Estate Agents.

GoogleI’ve had a really disappointing experience with this agency. Despite repeatedly requesting that my data be deleted, I’ve continued to receive unsolicited marketing emails for months. This is unacceptable and shows a clear disregard for GDPR and my personal boundaries. I initially had my property listed with them, but it was repeatedly removed from Rightmove without any notice. When I chased this up, I was told it was because I’d had to cancel some appointments. The reasons for these cancellations were serious, hospital stays/trips/illnesses for both myself and my daughter. The agency was fully aware from the outset that we both have autoimmune conditions, and I kept them informed. If they decided not to continue marketing the property because of this, that’s their right, but the lack of communication and understanding was incredibly disappointing. In contrast, I’m now having a wonderful and personal experience with a different agent, Charles Henry, who has been far more professional, understanding, and respectful. The difference in care and communication has been night and day. I wouldn’t recommend this original agency based on my experience, but I’m glad to have found someone better.

GoogleI would give this estate agent 0 stars. They have no understanding of how their actions and lack of transparency affects their customers. I felt bullied, disrespected and lied to for my 5 month ordeal in purchasing a home with them. And then to be told that they are putting the home back on the market. I have fed back to this estate agent as a whole and had no apology but instead was made to feel as if I was in the wrong for not using their recommended solicitor. Shame on them as they truly failed to understand how much this has affected me and my mental health. I don’t want to name and shame who this agent was , but she knows who she is. Bourne in my eyes is all about business and a lack of empathy. Disgraceful and be warned!
17/10/23 - Dear Hira, I have investigated your purchase and can see that you were not able to obtain a mortgage based on the conditions of type of sale through Rural Housing Trust. We were therefore left with no choice but to remarket the property. I do find it unfair that you have apportioned the blame at our doorstep when there was no other outcome other than to remarket the property. I completely understand the frustrations of not being able to achieve a mortgage on your first property and would have welcomed the opportunity to discuss this with you but to date you have chosen not to respond to my efforts to speak. Having experienced other estate agents in Alton I have to say Bourne is head and shoulders above the rest. The staff are very professional, incredibly good at what they do and they genuinly care about their clients. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to move house.

GoogleI didn't eventually appoint Bourne to sell my house but during their valuation and when I rang back later to ask for some independent advice before making a decision on my sale, Andrew was friendly, helpful, honest and professional. Recommended.

GoogleDon’t move to Edward Road as if you can put up with every night being up until 1am as in the flats this it his flat two weeks ago they had a party until 5 am if they keep it up I will start complaining every night I’ve got to put up with them, if not it’s 7am I can’t believe no one has said anything, I own my house but if it keeps happening I will start complaining to the council

GoogleMy partner and I have rented 2 properties through Bourne. Both experiences have been very simple and the members of staff that we have engaged with have been fantastic. The first property we went directly to the landlord for support and occasionally spoke with Bourne if needing guidance or advice. Our current property is all through Bourne and has been simple and help. The team we have been working with are Molly, Ayisha and Sarah. Very helpful and supportive. We were kept informed throughout.

I always have full faith that good tenants will be found for my properties, and Ayisha keeps me well informed during the process. Once the houses are let, I can be fully confident that both the houses and tenants will be well looked after by the Alton lettings team.
