Mackenzie Smith do far more than just sell your house

Estate agents sell houses, that's what they do. However, what sets Mackenzie Smith apart is what they do before they sell your house and in the important intervening period between accepting an offer and completion.From the point at which we were considering putting our house on the market through to completion, James and the team at the Fleet branch have been a joy to deal with. They are incredibly professional and take great care, from initial viewing and valuation, when taking photos through to property description, evaluating potential buyers, property visits and through the entire sales process. They were incredibly proactive, contacting solicitors to make sure everything goes smoothly, dealing with any issues as they arise and always on hand to give sound advice. We have just completed on our sale and would highly recommend Mackenzie Smith, with particular thanks to James, Justin and Dan in the Fleet branch.

Tracy was amazing from first contact regarding my tenancy. She was so helpful when securing my last tenancy, negotiating with the previous tenant so I could move in a bit earlier than the end of their notice period. She liaised with the landlord when I had queries and needed permission for certain things. Always swift and efficient in relation to any repairs or problems with the property. When the landlord sold the house she even helped find my new place. I can't rate Tracy highly enough, she always went over and above what was necessary. A fabulous lady.

6 weeks from viewing to completion.

This was the third time using MacKenzie Smith (Farnborough). Steve Panther was the agent. The first house purchased went through in 8 weeks, I was so impressed with Steve's professionalism and organisation at the time, that when it came time to sell he was going to be my first go-to. That time came in Aug 2021 and went without a hitch and sold for the asking price very quickly. Fast forward to March 2022, Steve had presented a suitable home, this time the sale went through in just 6 weeks. Considering the back-log at the solicitors because of the pandemic, this is quite amazing. Steve kept me up-to-date and in formed with every aspect of the move and he knew where the solicitors were in the process. When it comes time to move on, I'll be using Steve again, he's just an honest man who's finger is on the pulse and has proved so easy to deal with. Can't recommend enough.

So many curved balls and obstacles along the way. I think the way to measure how good a company is how they look after you when you are at your lowest ebb. Paul Phelan has been taken to the edge of sanity as much as we have, but he persevered and has just recently pulled a seemingly unattainable rabbit out of the hat! After a slow start in April 2025 selling our property, we finally secured a buyer in November 2025. We did enlist a dual agent for the last few months, but our original agent pulled through in the end. We understand it was a challenging market in 2025 and Mckenzie Smith remained calm and professional at all times. We would not hesitate to recommend or use again if we move again. Too often tenants get a raw deal from landlords and their agents, and are treated as cash cows, just there to pay the rent, jump through hoops to prove themselves to be perfect tenants - solvent, house-proud and silent. When the tenancy is offered, then the attention stops, often abruptly.We've had that experience ourselves - repairs that we pointed out during viewings and assurances that were made to have them dealt with disappeared, dissolved and weeks of calls never came to anything. And then you're stuck with not only the landlord who is deaf and the property in a poor, sometimes dangerous state of repair but an agent who has slipped over to the dark side...Well, we've given Mackenzie Smith and Andrew Travers FIVE STARS because they have been just the opposite and in our long experience of landlords, their properties and their agents that is something to celebrate!We've had prompt, courteous attention - more remarkable in these COVID-times, I think; calls have been returned and you do get the very real sense that whilst tenants have traditionally no representatives, Andrew and his team at Mackenzie Smith go that bit further for all parties to the transaction of letting.The staff are friendly - unlike several agents, especially after you have become the tenant who always seems to be calling about outstanding repairs. We have noticed that in the past, you detect it in their abrupt tone, the rudeness just below the surface in their replies.Are we paranoid? Restored Faith in Estate Agents

After having a terrible experience with another estate agents and having to pull out of another property purchase we found a Property with MacKenzie Smith. From the first viewing we dealt with Jason who was excellent. He actually knew about the property he was trying to sell and was very open and honest about it limitations and possible issues with the property. On this occasion we loved the property and made an offer which was first rejected but Jason assisted us in getting a good revised deal for us and the seller. Throughout the process he has been excellent with communication with not only us but also the solicitors and other parties ensuring a quick and reliable purchase. And considering the issues we had with the last estate agents he certainly made the biggest decision and purchase of our lives a lot easier and least stressful as possible.
