Mutual exchanges…

Discrimination at its finest . Put in for an exchange from a 2bed house to another 2bed house and got refused because its a family orientated area but majority of neighbours are either single people or couples without kids over 50 . The move was on medical grounds for both parties but wdh dont care about mental health kids who are autistic etc moving to areas where schools can cater for their needs theyre a total joke but are quick to move immigrants into nice areas and bring the areas down

Shocking.

Well guys you know the hard working tenants of wdh have to pay out of their pockets if anything needs maintaining. We'll we've just arrived on the street to find one of the tenant. That some would call a drip to society having new windows fitted. Even though one of our neighbour reported the situation to wdh about the tenant giving our area a bad name. Some will have tenants like this living near . Them kind of tenants that have no respect for them living around them. Curtains closed all the time because they've something to hide. So due to the curtains closed all the time there's been a build up of condensation around the windows , mould growing on the curtains due to heating on so the windows can't breathe which was reported because it was giving the streer a bad look. Alot of walkers use this route on a weekend. And many have said how lovely the area is where we live. And we want it to stay that way too. But wont with tenants like this. But really its inflicted by self neglect of the property so why should tenants like this get away with not paying out for the damage. ? It was reported many weeks back about the tenant by one of the neighbours sick of looking over at the property. So this is the reason for the 1 star . Because decent pillars of wdh community ie tenants of wdh don't get nowhere into days society we just get pushed aside.. You've to be a complete tool or scum to get anywhere well that's how it feels to many of us.

Absolutely disgusting

Absolutely disgusting. Get harassed by cameras and they don't even comply to guidelines of the information commissioner officer ICO.. Not surprise my sister called them Walt Disney Housing WDH. I will be moving no thanks to them, I will never go with them again. The lass that came out don't see the point in her. Absolutely bias and one sided. Getting stalked and harassed in my own home. Reporting things for over 2 years now and still no joy. Never had any issues with any of my neighbours and even now they are bullying my 3 year old. Sick in the head. Stay clear of them. Even then houses are absolutely awful kitchen just been in over 3 years started to fall to pieces after a year. Plaster all cracking. Handles falling off.

Maladministration of Antisocial Behaviour Complaint

My experience of WDH is that one of their officers conspired with other WHD staff members and certain tenents here to bully me but when I complained the investigating officer ensured that the complaint only dealt with the tenant and avoided and forbade any investigation of the officer. The tenant was cautioned but also the officer who enabled the bullying and other things directed towards me which also damaged my mental health appears to be guiltless. When the investigation was over I mentioned to the investigating officer, during a telephone conversation, that I would not let the issue go the investigating officer told me that if I didn't let the issue go that my tenancy may be in danger. Veiled threats and maladministration do not sit well with me and I would be interested if other tenants have been treated like this by WDH. This issue in my view is not one for an internal WDH investigation but deserves independent overview. I must point out that I am an ex service man with diagnosed PTSD which both officers in question were aware of. Now that my treatment is complete and I now have the correct medication I feel stong enough to pursue this wrong.Update I have now submitted a formal complaint in writing to WDH which will also involve one of the 5 star reveiwers to this page.WDH Directors are aware of this issue, I wonder if they have taken any meaningful action in regard to bullying in their organisation.I have now left this questionable landlord Yippee.

Castleford.

Where I live. There were garages supposedly part of the bungalows storage etc. Even numbered as to which bungalow they belonged to. Then WDH decided that they were an extra part of the agreement, So they started charging for the usage. However. In later years, it transpired that the garages had asbestos roofing. So WDH, in their wisdom, decided to demolish, rather than just sort out the roofs, of the garages that people were actually wanting. Three garages at the side of my property were demolished. Now, bear in mind, that the height of the garage rear wall, that backed onto my bungalow, were around 6ft. After the garages were demolished. They built a 3ft wall (from street level) then put a one metre fence on top. Leaving me with a gap of 2ft. less than what I had before. No privacy, etc. All the other garages that have been demolished, have far higher fences. But because the one at the side of my residence was the first one. It seems that I was the guinea pig. I have made a complaint, and was basically told to "suck it up." WDH has too many chiefs, and not enough Indians... Total bunch of w4nkers... Edit. The reply from WDH. Shows their level of incompetence. They can't even get a reply correct. Don't you even read before you post? "issues with experienced" Doesn't even make sense. I stand by my original post...

A shame there isn't a way of reviewing…

A shame there isn't a way of reviewing without giving any stars,I've had to listen to 3 modified vehicles been modified further for the past 8 and a half hours on a Sunday, literally up against my property! I'm sick of reporting these nuisance wdh garages and the land they are on,my property is unfortunately attached to them ,nothing I can do about that, but wdh definitely have a responsibility to put an end to it,it's causing me severe distress and anxiety to the point where I'm having chest pains, lady on phone didn't even know it was illegal to drill and do loud work on a Sunday, literally every law webpage states this! Not that you should need to Google it,common decency would tell you this is wrong, they have blocked me in my property all day now,I've not been able to leave my house for food or milk or anything I needed, as I darent try climbing over all their tools as I have mobility issues, so now I'm hungry, extremely angry, and I haven't been able to go out even into MY GARDEN, as they are all there invading my privacy and playing bass music whilst drilling and banging, my father had to park in front of the elderly ladies house next door as he couldn't get his vehicle into the place he would normally park,so he literally stayed 5 mins because he was worried he would get blocked in, if we had needed an emergency service for anything we would probably be dead because, you can't quickly move a car that is in peices obviously! I'm absolutely fed up with it,and I went private to get away from wdh as I had a flat with them and it was horrific, was under mental health care after renting with these con merchants for only 2 year! I think if you read the comments below you will fully understand how insanely bad this organisation is! These garages are for storing working vehicles in,the land they are on should be used for access only, not to come and completely rip apart their cars for silly reasons, if it isn't dealt with this week,I will be going to the papers and the ombudsman, I can't gather evidence , I'm allegedly not allowed to film on wdh land even though its outside my garden, yet if I go out multiple agencies film me and everyone else without consent at all I don't think this is right whatsoever, they are committing a crime I should be able to film that regardless of whose land it is,especially if its causing me to suffer greatly, I will be looking into where I can film,I will be putting cameras everywhere, regardless of what wdh says,we are private rented and fortunately I do not have to answer to these criminals at all, they are still there at 9.46 pm now drilling, and they are also blocking people's garages but nothing gets done, there's signs in big letters saying DO NOT BLOCK THESE GARAGES!

Membership on hold!

I’m very disappointed that my membership has been put on hold. I have been a member since February 2020 and have expressed an interest in several properties over that time. I recently relocated to Yorkshire from Essex and I am living at temporary accommodation. I was advised by Homesearch to reapply with my new address and was advised that this would not affect my membership! I moved into the area so I could be available quickly to view properties. It has affected my membership by putting it on hold. Every time I speak to someone on the phone I get told a different story! I’ve now got to look at private renting which I did not budget for! What a mess and a very unwelcome to Yorkshire!

I think we need to go to the press now

This is so funny. WDH fob you off with excuses & when you write a negative review on here they contact you back saying we are so sorry for the inconvenience blah blah blah. If you want any help contact us on this number blah blah blah but I’ll tell you something they don’t do anything. They’re just talking out of their backsides. Anytime anybody asks me about the property or about the company et cetera et cetera et cetera I tell them to run avoid like it the plague , you’re better off renting from somewhere else or buying a house outright. This has been the worst four years of my entire life and I so cannot wait to get the heck out of here. soon as we’ve had our wedding this July, we are out of here as far as possible from a WDH property. They are robbing b tyrds, reading other peoples reviews I 110,000,000% agree with everything other people have said, they are liars they will make stuff up & will drop you in the💩 If you’re reading this wdh do not bother to comment, because I know for a fact that you don’t care, don’t give me the stock response that you’ve given to everybody else on this review site.. i’m no longer interested in your fakeness. The big man at the top doesn’t care either, there’s no way to contact him to let him know what’s going on. What kind of managing director doesn’t have any contact information available?! I have searched all over the internet for any phone number email address to contact him. Nothing. all I found is LinkedIn, but why should I pay for an account to contact someone? I think it’s time a bunch of us get together, create a Facebook group and take this to the news and the press maybe even trading standards because it’s beyond time they get held accountable for how they treat tenants and run the business.

There is a real theme of cashing in on…

There is a real theme of cashing in on the times Conservative cuts and austerity/cost of living. WDH won't take responsibility for internal doors even when its fair wear and tear and cheap basic doors that were in and not damage by tenant. Won't take responsibility for fencing but let new builds with fencing to new tenants. Existing tenants told its 'their responsibility' when actually its not the tenants responsibility and is more If the tenant wants a fence they'll have to pay for it.... where in law does it say the tenant should pay for the landlords fence as well as paying full rent.... How can it be tenants responsibility if when they move out they can't take their fence and doors with them without being charged 🤔 used covid as excuse for poor service years after lockdown. Do as little as possible for as cheap as possible but still the rents go up. Not connected to council so not clear why they claim to be so skint....where is the money that they used to pay for basic repairs going. Even drains are bounced to tenant. No acknowledgement that neighbouring properties could cause blockages....fob off cheapskate and push landlord Jobs onto tenants just because they can under this government. Right wing policies for social housing 🤔 Roll on election then they'd not get away with charging for shell's with no doors or fencing! Some properties better than others but rents be same. Unfair. Inconsistent. Families trapped in flats paying same and sometimes more in rent for less desirable properties. Some rents ridiculously high and not in the social rented category but still advertised for people less well off. Above lha cap - should be advertised elsewhere.

I really wish there was an option to not give any stars. These are the worst home association to ever exist. For four years now we have been suffering with antisocial behaviour from one of our neighbours and we have so much CCTV of these neighbours, quite clearly breaking the rules that WDH apparently say they’ll do something about if you break them. Yet, they do absolutely nothing. They need their heads checking, Myself and my fiance have been on antidepressants, suicidal watch and under the care of Drs and therapists to try and help. Give us some kind of normal life, but it’s not ever going to happen because WDH will not evict these people that are quite clearly causing a living nightmare for everybody on the street. I just think it is so pathetic and disgusting that they are allowing tenants to bully. Basically I’ve had death threats from these neighbours. I’ve had the police out. Can’t even tell you how many times but apparently there is not enough evidence to do anything. we have been accused of so much BS it’s unbelievable I literally wake up every day wondering if I’m going to get a telephone call or a knock at my door from the police because she’s decided to fake some claim she’s reported us for a burglary to her house, which was hilarious because a nobody burgled her house and be the person who apparently burgled her house was at work, not only that we have a ring doorbell camera which literally record everything. We have this Doorbell set to super sensitive so it pretty much goes off. Maybe every five minutes letting us know there’s motion at the front door so if anybody was going to do anything we know about it. She has accused us of having a drug farm. Neither of a smoke or do any drugs of any kind we don’t even drink alcohol, she has overheard conversations in the back garden and she has twisted them to suit her and then rang up and said we’ve said XY&z when in actual fact it’s been about my partner in his job and if you know the catering industry you know that being a chef is a stressful job. She has backed me into a corner and screamed bloody murder in my face for no reason when I told her to leave me alone it just made her go off on one. She is quite truly unstable. She is now taught her child who is 12 to torment, and he does stupid things like for instance, swears us for no reason. She has stomping down the street, banging on my door, screaming in my face, because apparently she’s been reported for something, and it’s my fault, even though I have never once reported her for anything, she’s accusing me of. it’s just constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop we cannot enjoy our house. We cannot enjoy the spring all the summer or anything because all we think about is what is she going to drum up next? We can’t even get medical attention properly without accusing us of having fake ambulances. When my partner had his motorbike stolen and we managed to get it recovered which in natural fact was a miracle she then put on social media that we had a fake robbery because it was back on our drive. It was potluck. We were not expecting to see it ever again to the fact that somebody had rang to report it and it just happened to be. Ours was just lucky. We are tormented by her car and her man’s car because they are racer boy modded cars and they will sit there on the drive with their car engines running for no reason other than to annoy everybody and they will rev the engine. They commit so many crimes basically, and yet nothing is ever done. This person and their man are literally tormenting an entire street, but because of what me and my partner have suffered through everybody else has seen it and won’t say anything because they don’t want to suffer either but that’s not fair that we are left to suffer and WDH won’t do a damn thing about it any other company would’ve probably kick them out months ago.

0 STARS RAT INFESTED FLAT DUE TO HOLES EVERYWHERE

Edit 14/1/23GOING TO WAKEFIELD EXPRESS HAD ENOUGH. Due to WDH incompetence of ignoring our multiple repair requests we ended up with a RAT IN THE KITCHEN at 1.30am. Multiple reports of holes in the roof and a boiler left unfilled where you can see brickwork and cobwebs. New boiler was fitted 10 months ago and has been left in an awful state ever since! Reported scratching noises above bedroom over a week ago but was told pest control are busy at the moment so it led to it getting into the kitchen. No surprise with the amount of holes in our roof and in the kitchen. Absolutely disgusting, since we had a new boiler fitted it’s been left in this disgusting state as pictured. The external pest control worker was shocked to hear that our repairs have been ignored or jobs only half completed and that we reported the rat 10 days ago in the roof. SHOCKING, WDH NEEDS TO GET TAKEN TO COURT.0 STARS. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. My boyfriend has been reporting a disrespect noisy neighbour for noise harassment since he moved in 2019 just before I met him.. nearly 3 years later constant complaints with evidence, logs, recordings nearly every day of loud bassy music and have recently been told there isn’t enough evidence to do anything. They did a noise agreement with the neighbour in which they made the neighbour agree to keep music to a certain level which we witnessed and we couldn’t even hear the music! Of course the neighbour didn’t stick to it. According to WDH that was apparently nothing official so what was the point exactly?!?! My boyfriend is sick of hearing his loud bassy music and his constant shouting day in and day out that my boyfriend has recently wanted to give him the same behaviour back as for years NO ONE has helped, it’s just been dismissed like it’s something we should just put up with. Now my boyfriend is being accused of going against the tenancy agreement and they are threatening us by mentioning about eviction!!! Even mentioning that we should perhaps look at other housing companies or think of alternative property. My boyfriend is the victim in all this. For the first year he ignored the music, constantly put headphones in, but he shouldn’t of had to do that!! If he doesn’t get help or support of course he will react! There’s only so much one person can take!! Mine and my boyfriends mental health is bad enough as it is and now we don’t feel safe in this property as everything is being twisted on us now. My dad worked for a housing association before and said that harassment and noise nuisance is taken extremely seriously. Not with this company, they go round in circles and never support or help. They don’t care about anyones mental health or wellbeing. We have been trying to move for a while now all this stress is making us SO Ill. WDH don’t care, what’s next you going to make us homeless? DISGUSTING. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. Every doctor or professional counsellor I’ve spoken to also think it’s SO WRONG that we are having to be put through this.

Wdh used to be good to respond to request for repairs. We have waited approx 5months for a repair to a leaking roof.,but my latest bugbear is HOW can they run s scheme asking for people to be proud of their locality, and then send out contractors to cut your hedge and leave it in such a mess. Fortunately, on request, their manager came out to look at it and agreed. He had it rectified. WHY CANT THEY DO IT RIGHT TO START WITH. WDH YOU ARE REALLY FAILING IN YOUR STANDARDS.

Pre tenancy assessment

We received a call on Friday from WDH asking if someone could come out and do a pre-tenancy assessment on Monday for a property that I’d bid on 6 weeks earlier. Obviously we got excited thinking that we’d got our dream house. My husband is a wheelchair user and our current house just isn’t suitable. He can’t shower, go outside or even go to the toilet by himself because he can’t use his chair in this house. The lady came out on Monday and said “you do know you haven’t got the house, there’s 2 other families being assessed so if you haven’t heard anything by Friday you haven’t got it”. Wow, that’s harsh. Obviously we haven’t got the property because it’s now Friday and we haven’t heard anything. It’s been the worst week of our lives. The wait has been like torture. My issue is that WDH must know who’s going to get offered the house before they do the pre/tenancy assessment, so why put the other families through all that unnecessary stress. It’s almost cruel. For someone who’s disabled and suffers from mental health issues, as a result of his disability, to be told their life could massively improve and they could get their independence back is a huge deal. To then not to even be told that they haven’t been successful and to leave them hoping and praying is disgusting. The process is wrong. My husband is now suffering massively with his mental health because of all this and has even said he doesn’t want to live like this anymore. WDH know who’s at the top of the banding, who’s been on the list the longest etc. so why assess 3 families for one property when they know who’s going to get the house before they even do the assessments?

Utterly Disgusted

My grandma passed away on the 5th of October. After the initial shock, and waiting to receive a death certificate, we were able to notify the council of her passing. They gave us an ‘ideal date’ of a weeks time to remove everything from her house and hand back the keys. They even sent an email chasing up the keys, and sent someone out to take a photograph of the house in preparation to put it straight back up on wdh. Obviously it’s understanding that there is still a job to do, but surely there is a duty of care and consideration that should go alongside in this situation. She had lived there 28 years. How they expect anyone to be able to grieve and work through half a life’s worth of belongings in such little time with very little consideration of feelings is beyond me. If anything it felt completely disrespectful to her life, as if she was nothing more than just a number. When in reality she was a well loved woman in her community, and overall a great tenant. My mum handed the keys back on the Saturday at 11am, by 2pm she had gone to collect the last of her belongings she had, which had been left in the garden. Only to find that the locks had already been changed and the gate leading to the back garden had been ripped off due to the locks that were on it, even though they had the keys necessary to open it. I am absolutely astonished and to be honest quite hurt by it all. I know for a fact that if this was how it was handled for your own family member, you would be disgusted too.
