The after sales was outstanding. A complex and demanding buyer was very well handled. The attention to detail and communication from Wallace and James with me, the solicitors and between each other was first class. Have been recommending them to everyone.

As a first time buyer Wallace Jaffray and the team at TruePenny's were absolutely outstanding from start to finish. They kept me updated of progress and acted as a liaison between myself and the seller where necessary. The team were extremely patient and helpful while I tried to keep on top of a really poorly run conveyancing process courtesy of RG Law. I would not hesitate to recommend Truepenny's Greenwich.

My experience with Truepenny's was beyond perfect. It is the very first agency that helped me a lot in the process of renting the property. It has taken me much longer other times and with Truepenny's it all went smoothly and faster than I expected. I truly reccomend the agency. I am giving 5 stars for my experience with them.

Truepenny's have been a delight to deal with. Nothing is too much trouble, and they are courteous, quick and attentive in their dealings. Having had the misfortune to have previously dealt with a great number of very mediocre estate agents in London as a prospective tenant, it was very refreshing to be looked after by Truepenny's. I thank them and wish them continued success.

I am currently living in a flat rented via Truepennys. My tenancy was coordinated by all of the team at various times, and I found them all to be extremely helpful and courteous. The process of finding, leasing and moving into the flat was extremely straightforward.

Dear Ryan, I’m still waiting for the £130 that were taking unfair and without my approval. You already agreed to return this money because you know the agency did not have the right to take it. I want to receive this money transferred in my account or cash or as a check I can collect from the branch. I DO NOT want to provide a copy of my ID AND my current address as you asked because it is not necessary and I prefer not to disclose to you my new address. Also, I would welcome the opportunity to view /read the “good reviews” the other 2 tenants gave to your company. I also expect the company to return the money deducted from the deposit for the professional cleaning unless a receipt from a cleaning company having that date can be provided. I have reason to believe the agency is using this as an excuse to charge tenants at the end of the contract. I remind you, the professional cleaning was not present at the beginning of the tenancy and the property was left in clean conditions, was no need for professional cleaning. I also believe you post wrong information regarding the company. Truepeny has 3 branches: Dulwich, Charlton and Greenwich, it is the same company, different branch and this the official site of the company. All the above information are correct and I believe you do not have the reason to contact a solicitor as you worn me .

Hi Alin, Our position still stands as per our reply to your initial bogus review. ............................................................................................................................. Dearest Alin, Whether with yourself or your cousin Mona, we've been in contact a fair amount these last few months! I do hope I receive a Christmas card from you this year! As explained to you numerous times already, the issues that you have raised are absolutely nothing to do with Truepenny's - They are between you and your co-tenants (who have given good reviews), the Deposit Protection scheme and utility companies. Firstly, this is the review board for the Dulwich branch, not the Charlton branch - which is the office that you have a misguided disgruntlement with. In any case... My understanding is: The security deposit is placed and held with a Government approved scheme, in this case it is the Deposit Protection Scheme. After renting the property, the security deposit is returned to the tenants, less any amounts for damages. The security deposit is the money of the tenant, unless proven otherwise by the landlord / managing agent. Should the property be returned to the landlord in worse condition than it was received, the landlord can ask for the dirt / damage to the property to be withheld. The landlord will need to supply evidence to justify that retention. Only the tenant can approve the release of the funds to be returned to the landlord. After the acceptance was received from the tenants for the money to be returned, you then raised an argument that you were short-changed £130. As Truepenny's are the only element in this situation that has a public-facing profile, you have chosen to exploit that fact by posting a negative review out of spite. I have spoken to and agreed with the landlord, in order to save time and effort, to return the £130 to you. The agreement was without prejudice and was as a goodwill gesture to allow all parties to move on. The terms that we presented the return of the money to you was that you would remove the libellous review, which you verbally agreed to do once the money was paid. In order for a valid receipt to be created, both the landlord and ourselves need a paper trail. You were not willing to provide us with an address for the receipt, at this point the situation became again frustrated. The landlord is happy to give you the £130 back but has asked for that detail. I am unsure as to why that has been difficult for you to provide! To the reader: Please empathise with Truepenny’s position - We really endeavour to give each and every person an excellent experience, resulting where everyone leaves the relationship happy. In some cases, particularly with multiple tenants sharing communal spaces, arguments can arise as to who owes what to whom - ‘He broke the washing machine, she broke the door handle’ etc. All of which is out of our control and not for us to resolve. We are instructed by the landlord to act in a fair way and method that ensures everyone is treated fairly and if something is broken / left dirty, then that is made good at the expense of the person who broke or dirtied it. Regardless of whether they are right or wrong, some people react badly when they don’t get what they want; In Alin’s case, he has found it easy (albeit childish) to vent his frustration on a public review board with absolute nonsense. We believe that we have been more than fair and have given Alin Lordache as much time as is feasible. James & Ryan Directors

I want to share with you my experience with this company and leave you to decide if it is worth trusting them or not. Me and 2 more people signed up for a 1 year contract and I was the lead tenant. At the end of the 1 year contract, we were asked by Truepenny to pay the tax in order to renew the contract which we were happy to pay. We did not complain about the fact that the requested tax was bigger then what was written in the contract, we just paid and did not ask questions. More then 2 months after paying the tax passed and we still did not receive the new contract, so we did not sign the new contract. But out of the blue Truepenny informed us that the landlord changed his mind and under the section 21 we have to leave the property in 2 months time. With section 21 the landlord by the law has to give you 2 months time in order for you as a tenant to be able to find a new place and move out. Again, we did not ask any questions we just looked for new place to move and asked Truepenny if we could move out earlier then 2 months. And here is when all the problems started! We did not receive any answer from Truepenny, we called them, sent emails, call again but was impossible to talk with them! Finally, we managed to receive a confirmation from a member of staff named Kim and based on this we signed the contract for a new property. After 15 days since we were trying to contact them, we received an email from Truepenny in which they were informing us that the LANDLORD does not agree with our earlier move out because he will lose money on property and that the reason of answering late to our question was because the LANDLORD was abroad and COULD NOT be contacted. Also, we were informed that the confirmation received from Kim can not be taking in consideration because she was just working THERE as PART TIME and she was not aware of the situation. Here we started to became really angry about this situation and explained to them that we already signed a new contract based on a confirmation received from a Truepenny member of staff and we can not stay or pay longer then the date that was confirmed by their member of staff. They started to send to us intimidating emails and force us to pay extra rent, moment in which we informed them that we prefer not to pay the extra rent and will ask the DEPOSITE company (as a third party) to look into this problem and decide if Truepenny has the right to claim this money. And I had another surprise!!!! Me, the lead tenant, I was removed (my name)from the deposite scheme, so I could not ask the deposite company to check and the extra rent was taken from the deposit without my approval. Also, at the check out Truepenny charged us for professional cleaning even if professional cleaning was not done at the check in. I confirm that the house was left in very clean conditions, I did not understand why they decided to charge us for professional cleaning and also they charged us for 20 light bulbs, yes, I typed correct, 20 lightbulbs. I put a very short comment on Truepenny’s official site and the director of the company contacted me and insisted on remove it, in change he promised he will investigate. After few weeks I was invited to a meeting with him and the director of Charlton branch which is the branch I had problems with. They agreed to return the money they have taken for the extra rent but they did not want to return the money for professional cleaning which were also unfairly taken. They also informed me that they are doing this as a favour!!!!! I did not want to fight with them anymore, I just wanted to finish this !!! The money were never returned!!! And now I leave you to decide what to think about this company.

Truepennies managed the sale of a flat we bought in East Dulwich. From the moment we stepped into their office in East Dulwich we were warmly welcomed by the M.D. Ryan. He kicked off the initial biding process for us and was brilliant at keeping us in the loop at every move. We were then handing over to Matt who took over the buying process with us. We had a lot of issues with communication from our solicitors and Matt went above and beyond to consistently chase them daily to help us reach a tight completion deadline. He carried the whole process across the line for us when we thought we would be delayed. He is extremely professional and always so pleasant to deal with. I truly believe we wouldn’t be in our flat today without his hard work! I can’t recommend Truepennies enough to any vendor or buyer.

Truepenny's were helping me with the purchase of my first property in East Dulwich. Albert, Wallace and Matt were all very helpful and responsive throughout the process and pleasure to deal with even in at times difficult situations. I would highly recommend their services. Dealt with Connor mostly who was extremely professional, he came back to me on all enquiries promptly and was always available. Even after completion he helped sort out outstanding issues in real time. Wallace did the negotiation and was very sensible in helping close the deal. Wallace took initiative in finding an architectural technician to draw the extension plans that were advertised with the property when the owner lost interest in pursuing that and negotiated the price off the agreed sale price. All in all great experience and highly recommended.

I definitely recommend working with Albert Marques and the Truepenny's team in East Dulwich if you're looking for a flat in the area. Twice now Albert has found us the perfect flat - the first we lived in for 5 years before moving abroad. This month, Albert has come through again - helping us secure the ideal home while we're overseas. He's made the whole process seamless once again, and my husband I have appreciated his honesty and willingness to go the extra mile. Where 3 other agents in the area didn't bother to even respond to our inquiries, Albert went out of his way to call us in the US to discuss our options and fill in all of the local details and information. And we can't wait to move back to London - Albert and Truepenny's have managed to take all of the stress out of our international relocation!

We recently rented our flat out through Truepenny's while we went travelling for 6 months. Matthew was extremely helpful in the initial letting of the property and Sam kept us up to date at all times in the ongoing management. What could have been a stressful process was made very easy throughout the tenancy and an issues that arose while we were away were dealt with quickly and professionally by Sam and the team. I would recommend Truepenny's if your looking to rent your property.

I have used Truepenny's for all my sales since they first started and I have just sold another flat through them at the asking price. I do not use any other estate agents as I believe in working with the same team, have a laugh and get things done. I can recommend them and I rarely recommend anyone!

Truepenny's Charlton are a great, friendly team, who are super responsive to tenant needs, and make for a smooth rental experience. Georgia-Lea is a real asset, and went the extra mile to ensure we were always well looked after, and that our Landlord was doing his bit. Thanks Truepenny's!

I highly don't recommend , they are some cowboys liars , problems with the deposit, late answer to emails ,try to intimidate ,i really advise to avoid those sharks and go for a bigger company , better pay more money instead having problems at the end , if i could rate them less than one star i would do .

From we moved to the flat we asked them to find a solution with the windows, beacuse the was in the 9th floor and near to the river in Woolich and the winter was terrible we could hear how thw wind entered in the flat. They sent three “handy mans” in different time and all of them said the same, the landord needed to change the windows. They never found a solution. After the flat had oudor from the pipes, we asked them a plumber because the pipes had a structural problem and they send a plumber who asked them £300 for one hour so they decided to sent us the invoice for we paid it. We refuse because they never checked if the plumber made the work (the plumber wanted to earn for 3 hours when he was only 1 hour), but didn’t mind. I was lucky becuase I asked my neighbour stay in my flat while the plumber was there. Finally they are threatening me because if I do not contract a cleaning company before handing them over the department they could keep part of my deposit, it is as if they are forcing me to spend yes or yes on professional cleaners, even asking me to send them the proof we contract that cleaning company.

Thank you for your feedback, It is disappointing to see that you are not happy, however I would like to respond to your points. Your complaint relates to a property that is managed through the Charlton office, who arranged for three different specialist opinions on the windows and the conclusion from all three was that there was not a defect with the ‘seal’ and there was nothing to be done about the windows. It was simply how they were designed (as per the entire building). Your views about any draft coming through the windows were not shared by the three contractors, previous tenants in the property or since you have moved out by the new tenants. The Landlord also did not agree and therefore instructed us to take no further action. Regarding the ‘odour’ and blocked drain pipes this was caused by your actions and misuse which under the terms of the signed tenancy agreement was therefore your responsibility to pay/remedy. As you requested assistance at a specific time we organised a third party contractor to attend at that time. They originally charged for an 1.5 hours’ worth of labour which you said was only an hour. We then disputed this on your behalf and subsequently got there bill reduced accordingly for you. Regarding the check out process and cleaning we categorically did not threaten you, we simply issued a standard email detailing that as part of the check out process it was your responsibility to ensure that the property was left in the same condition as when you moved in (as per the check in report) and that if a professional clean was conducted at check in then the same would need to be done at check out. Unfortunately I do feel that your damaging review and public false statements are unfair and unjust against Truepenny's. We are an independent company who have followed and adhered to the correct codes of practice and legislation throughout the tenancy. We have also acted in line with our government approved independent redress scheme and regulated deposit protection service at all times and unfortunately at no point prior to your review did you make an internal complaint or complaint to our redress scheme or the ADR which would have been expected in this case. Please contact me should you wish to discuss the above further. Kind regards, James Callcut Director
