GoogleWe had a bad experience with the Lettings Director Julie Mottram at Trading Places Sale office at the end of October 2020. We were selling our property (so we have to wait for our buyer and solicitor’s process) and decided to go for a rented one in Sale area. We found a great flat with this agency as they are the most popular agency in the area and paid a holding deposit of £180 for the letting, but unfortunately, our buyer pulled out, so we came back to Mrs. Mottram, explaining the situation asking her to consider the difficulties that pandemic year supposed for every process in several diferents ways, to see the possibilities of using the holding deposit for a different renting property once our property was finally sold. By writing, she replied: “I will have to come back to you regarding the holding fee as you have pulled out and you would normally lose the whole holding fee as stated in the document.” We called her and she allows us to use the deposit in the next 3 months. With our property sold and before that time (3months) expire, we came back to her ready for booking a viewing for a new renting property but she told us we couldn’t use the holding deposit, saying they only allow to use the deposit in the next 15days gainsaying what she told us before. Leaving the holding deposit matter on the side, we still were needing a place to live, so every time I called her for booking a viewing (As she got my contact details) for every property they had on the website she said they were already taken. My husband called from a different number and successfully book a viewing in one of the same properties. Now 2021mid-year we finally were able to find a property (directly with a landlord, no agency in the middle) but this Lady makes all the process even more difficult and painful during this pandemic times not only with the holding deposit but denying the possibility to book any viewings reducing all our options to find a place to live.NegativeProfessionalism

GoogleLetting summary.... For those thinking of Trading Places being your letting agent for your property. Please reconsider such. Being an overseas landlord and having numerous properties already, Julie and Mev seem to talk to talk, but fall very short of walking the walk. By far the worst service I have received in 10 years. Items: - Very slow on email communication (inability to whatsapp) - No initial or end of tenancy inventory taken or issued - Signed contract never provided - Initial cleaning was very poor and tenant sent me photo proof - Slow replies even when it came to extending lease/renegotiation with tenant - Tenant even reached out to me as the "full management letting agent" were all uncontactable after a couple of weeks about a particular repair - Even one repair was never finished off (painting over new plaster) - Gas certificate never issued although charged - Where they did sort a repair, the repair was above market rate. This included a washing machine repair for example which was more expensive than purchasing a brand new one. I was very fortunate to have a really pleasant, understanding and nice tenant who cut out the middle man agents (Julie and Mev) and came straight to myself to assist them. Thank you for that as I really appreciate such communication. Summary: Trading places purchase was smooth but not outstanding. GoogleWe spent nearly a year selling and finding a new house with Trading Places. After an initial bad experience with an online estate agent, Trading Places look up the mantle and their dogged determination got us over the line just in time to avoid paying Stamp Duty. Selling our property was a stress free experience with the team just arranging everything and handling the offers. Even when our first sale fell through, they arranged a Covid-safe open house and sold our house at a great price. When finding one to buy Fiona was determined and communicated excellently with us all the way through the process. Throughout the purchase and sale, you couldn't fault Trading Places, right up to some complications after completion which Ed and Gina dealt with super efficiently. I would definitely recommend the hard working and professional approach of Bev, Fiona, Pat, Ed, Gina and the rest of the team.PositiveProfessionalism

GoogleI cannot recommend Trading Places highly enough. I recommend them to all my friends in the area. Our experience was brilliant from start to finish. We requested a valuation and Steve himself came round almost as soon as I'd sent the email. He gave us a valuation and was extremely lovely and personal. It made the thought of selling our beloved family home much less of a wrench and he helped us get excited for the future. Danielle came to take photos soon after and did an amazing job, the house looked fantastic. I've kept the pictures as a keepsake of our special first family home. The team arranged an open house and we got so much interest and offers that it was sold in a weekend! They took the stress and worry out of it for us and it was nothing but exciting! Buying was almost just as easy. We looked for a while, had viewings at a few with the super lovely, friendly, smiley Sara. She was great and understood exactly what we wanted, made us feel completely comfortable, made a fuss of our little boy and helped us so much. She was there to offer advice when we needed it and eventually helped us find the home we loved. The team again offered us advice on what to offer and we were so lucky to get the house we loved, again with no stress or complications. The Trading Places team are just amazing, they are so experienced and great at what they do. I wouldn't use anyone else! GooglePoor customer service experienced ever… mismanagement at this place can’t recommend them… They don’t care about your time, i driven from 45 minutes to view a house in Stratford and when reached property nobody was available for viewing and they didn’t even contacted me to change the appointment or to cancel then I went to there office regarding this issue they told me they tried to contact me but they have totally wrong contact number even though I provided them my contact details already. Spoke to Rachel who was very rude looks like she is not happy with her job.
You are quick to leave a poor review but not so quick to get to your appointment as you turned up over 30 minutes late. You did not call us to say you were running late and expected one of my staff just to stay at the property to wait for you. This is ridiculous as we are showing other people around properties all day who turn up on time or have the decency to call us and explain they are running late. To turn up over 30 minutes late is just not acceptable. Thanks for trying to discredit my company that I have spent over 25 years to build a solid reputation. Please try and turn up to future appointments on time or at least call to say you are running late.

GoogleGreat service selling a property. It was a lengthy process but Rachel Cummings at Trading Places kept all parties updated and chased up solicitors for both parties. I found all the staff polite and courteous throughout the process.

GoogleThe team at Trading Places sell A LOT of houses in this area. You see their 'For Sale' signs everywhere. So they have a really good knowledge of the local housing market, and that proved so helpful during the buying process. The team were helpful, quick, and their communication was impeccable. They were always friendly and helped keep the whole process as smooth as possible when we bought our first house.

GoogleMehvish was very helpful in aiding me and my partner to secure our rental property. She was very polite and understanding of what we were looking for, offering excellent customer service. The communication was open, (previous agents had been slow with replies) she provided all the details we needed and within less than a week she confirmed we had passed the referencing and had been selected by the landlord. We are very pleased- highly recommend! ☺️

GoogleI just bought a house listed by trading place. People are nice. Lee did the best viewing. Fiona also referred us a good law firm. There were several rounds of negotiations during the course but they were generally helpful. Overall experience was satisfactory .
