GoogleWe were tenant's in property in Butlers Cross, Tim Russ managed the property. From the start they were accessible cheerful and always there when we needed them. We had dealings with most of the team from checking us in to checking us out and they could not have been more helpful. We highly recommend them.

GoogleHorrendous experience using them. Absolute lack of communication between us (potential buyer) and the seller meant that we missed an opportunity to buy a house. We weren't given the option to increase our bid at all (of which we could easily but we had already offered over asking price). They are NOT concerned with taking the best offer to the seller as they just want a sale...any sale. Which they will of course get in this market. If you are a buyer and see a house on the market with them, I would consider just moving on and looking elsewhere. If you are thinking of selling with them, beware. You may miss out on the best offer as they just want a quick sale it seems and will not present all offers to you. This is not an angry post 'just because'. It is a genuine terrible experience. Edit because I can't reply to the response... I'm not telling you my name as I don't want my name 'blacklisted' as a 'difficult' client as I actually want to buy a house but this is my horrendous experience. We have been looking for a house for over 5 months, our place has been sold because if you haven't had offers on what you are selling, in this market agents won't entertain offers on properties. We found a place that was perfect and put in an offer above asking as we were told that no one had done so. We even stated that we can and will go higher if needed. After NO communication at all we were told that the property was sold...we weren't given the option to increase our bid despite saying that we would if needed. I since know how much the property sold for and it is well below what we were prepared to bid but I'm not going to give my initial offer at £20k above asking price when told that "no one had gone over". Because we have sold our house we are now renting which means we are unlikely to be able to increase our savings. So yes...it was a horrendous experience and you did not take the best offer to the seller. You wanted whatever was highest on a given day and not want the hassle of contacting other interested parties. You DO NOT have the sellers best interest at heart as we couldn't have been a more perfect buyer...no chain, mortgage in principal and a big cash deposit. Again I would advise buyers to communicate with sellers directly and avoid this estate agent. Sellers....I would seriously question whether the best offer was presented to you because in our case, the seller of the property got around £10k below what we were prepared to bid to secure what was our dream home.
We are shocked and disappointed to hear you feel you had a 'horrendous' experience with us. We pride ourselves on our high level of service and communication. Whilst we work very hard to achieve the best sale for our vendors, all offers once presented are considered on their own merit by the vendors as ultimately it is their decision and we act upon their instruction . In some cases particularly with a highly desirable property this can lead to a best and final offer which then can lead to disappointment for prospective buyers. We invite you to contact us directly as we would welcome the opportunity to discuss this with you. We are unaware of which property you are referring to so therefore we cannot contact you. It wasn't a smooth transition (nothing to do with Tim Russ - leasehold stuff) and help and support provided by all at the Wendover branch was brilliant, we couldn't have asked for more. GoogleWe first discovered Tim Russ in Wendover when looking for a place to rent for an elderly relative. Andrea showed us around a very nice property within an hour of us calling. We said it was perfect and she then pulled out all the stops to secure the property for us that very morning. We then had further dealings with Laura and we have to say that both ladies were warm, professional, kind and caring throughout the whole process. GoogleThe team at Tim Russ have been fantastic at supporting us to sell our home. They were the first choice agents for us after Nicky did a fantastic job at holding our (very wobbly) chain together when we bought this house 5 years ago. They were just as brilliant at leading on the sale, this time with Laura at the helm. The whole team is incredibly professional, knowledgeable, supportive and responsive. They take every step of the process seriously - not just marketing the house but making sure the process progresses through to completion. They liaise with solicitors and agents through the chain to keep things together and keep spirits up. Nothing seems too much trouble. I can't recommend them enough.

GoogleWe had yet another fantastic experience with the Tim Russ team at Wendover. We have bought and sold previously through Tim Russ so knew we would want to use them for our next family move. Nicky and Adrian (& the entire sales team) really looked after every aspect of our house sale. Every viewing was arranged and conducted professionally and feedback was given as soon as possible which was hugely appreciated. We only took a short time to sell and they were fantastic at keeping everyone updated and ensuring the conveyance went through as smoothly as any conveyance can! Where we felt Tim Russ went over and above for us was in helping us source a short term rental when we found ourselves in a position where we needed to complete on our house sale prior to our purchase. Laura was incredible at contacting her landlords and finding us a suitable home for our family (which includes a toddler and a dog!) within 1 day. In under 2 weeks we were completed and in our rental for a few weeks. The place was spotless and everything was dealt with instantly. Our move in and move out experience as tenants with Tim Russ was as wonderful as our experience as sellers. Couldn't recommend this whole team enough, they always answer the phone straight away, they can always handle your query and they have delivered on their promises to us every time. Hopefully we won't be moving again for a some time now but when we do we will be calling these guys.

GoogleWe have not used this agent to buy our seen a property, how've I deny this feedback was necessary after weeks of trying to use their website to search for properties. If someone from Tim Russ reads this, then please, please, please upgrade your website. Why must I search each individual office rather than a region I wish to live in? Why is there no filter to remove "sale agreed" properties from the map? Why is the photo interface so clunky and awkward to use? Noting that when viewing them on a mobile it zooms in to totally random areas of the photo, for example, I'm not interested in seeing pictures of a table leg, I'd much rather see the room the table is sitting in. It's 2022, websites need to be functional when viewing from mobile devices, and some serious consideration needs to be given to the user experience (ie search via the area the buyer is interested in, not via the office that a seller decided to use)

GoogleTim Russ & Company Estate Agents in Thame blow any negative stereotypes out of the water! We chose Tim Russ & Company Estate Agents because they were straightforward in their initial approach, gave no unreasonable expectations about the price we could achieve for our house and were very clear about what we could expect when we sold with them. And then, when through no fault of Tim Russ, it all went horribly wrong for an extended, and highly stressful, period of time their experienced negotiator Dominic kept us informed, (relatively) sane, and made extraordinary efforts to ensure that our sale completed, despite some very odd behaviours from ‘professionals’ further down the line. All with exemplary professionalism, manifesting itself in (very) good humour, excellent negotiation and mediation skills, and real patience. Importantly, we felt respected and valued, despite the problems with this sale. We are very happy to recommend this professional, efficient and trustworthy branch of Tim Russ & Company Estate Agents. We could not have handled this on our own. Thank you.

GoogleWe used Tim Russ to sell my late mother's house in Thame. The service we received was distinctly 'average'. The branch manager was rude and offensive. It felt like they were more interested in representing our buyer than us as a customer. On the day of completion, we found out the buyer hadn't been informed of a price discount we had offered some weeks beforehand and so,although we were quids in, this left a disappointing taste to the sale. Personally I would not recommend these guys, but I cannot vouch for any of the others in Thame.
