Lorna was Very professional and helpful on the sale of our property she kept us informed and reassured as it was a long and stressful process that was not of our making

Ian · 8 May 2025 · The Property Centre Gloucester

Lorna appreciates how hard the process can be and does her very utmost to progress the sale and to keep her clients fully informed along the way, so it's always nice when her efforts are recognised. Property centre made listing our house very quick and easy and they quickly adapted to last any changes we needed throughout the process. We got several viewings booked within a day of listing.

Mark Holford is an aggressively pushy…

Mark Holford is an aggressively pushy EA, very off putting and wouldn't shut up trying too hard to sell a property even when confronted about it. Mate, I can see the stairs have carpet, you don't need to tell me. Dawn Meikle is cold, blunt and unpersonable, stopped talking to me, nor put anything in writing for the duration of the sale after picking up on a communication breakdown that had a major effect on our sale timeline. Last agent, no idea of her name just spent the entire viewing making weird comments about the property, making stupid giggles and seemed perplexed that we were going to live in the house. There was an agent who did our second viewing, only does Saturdays but was by and far the best one we had, honest, let us get on with what we needed, obviously had an I.Q. above room temperature too. Wouldn't use to sell, won't buy another property marketed by them. There's a reason why you regularly see sold signs with the property centre become for sale signs from another EA.

The positives - on time for every viewing, quick to relay offers and information prior to the sale proceeding, the agent we collected keys from was very nice too. The negatives - first agent was really putting on a heavy sale at each property, my partner and I are experienced in sales and saw through every hard sale tactic, we even told him he was being a salesman when he said he wasn't. it was very off putting and distractive. second agent at our second viewing was absolutely lovely, get him to do more than just Saturday! third agent at our third viewing made constant negative comments about the property, interjected with weird giggles between sentences and about the fact we were going to live in the house, describing our intentions as "weird" Dawn was also frosty to deal with particularly. unfortunately somewhere along the communication chain the information that the seller had LPA wasn't told to us, in fact we were told twice by the first and second agents that the occupants brother owned the house. the truth came out when the owner sadly passed away and we were coldly told it would become a probate sale. I questioned why we were told twice that the gentleman's brother owned it to which I recieved a reply stating what the seller had told you while arranging the sale, but no explanation was offered why that wasn't said to us at any stage prior, nor was any apology made, for the communication error. note that we strongly considered pulling out of the sale because of this, especially the way Dawn addressed my concern and would have reached out to the seller via his solicitors directly to avoid any "miscommunication" about it after that point I was completely cut off from any communication about the sale by Dawn, which made me feel really put out, especially as I was the one paying the deposit. after that point we recieved updates about probate & the sale 2 to 3 days after we already recieved updates from our solicitors. In future we'll look to use another agent for selling and probably try to avoid buying a property being sold through you.

Seriously rude people

Seriously, rude people.they are even getting there staff leaving reviews on here to make this one lower. Photos taken in 1st days of my tenancy, mould hid behind food cuboards in kitchen and Landlord apparently won't do any work on a house full of damp behind kitchen cupboards and in all rooms. They painted over it. Now 2 months in soon as I ask for repairs they talk to me like crap landlord won't spend a penny apparently oh and they refused free work to remove the cavity installation that is causing the damp That's an 8k job done for free refused. They called the council to saynod be calling them and to slag me off they also tried to obtain my social workers number to sabatarge my fostering application when I refuse to give them the number then they then told me i can have anyone else in this house even though theybwas fully aware i was going to foster a child before i paid deposit!! Social will tell me if they get a call, and I will be taking legal action. They have already broken gdpr by calling people on my behalf to slag me off and cancel jobs the council were doing for free. I urge you all to make a complaint to the council and the property omnibusman as there are so many people all saying the same as me if you read the reviews. Ian, the boss, is useless and won't take complaints unless you do a formal complaint with a 15-day reply notice on. If you're living in mould like me, log everything. See the doctor often to check on your health as mould is seriously bad for you, and I have 1 lung and all the staff are fully aware of that also.AND MOST IMPORTANTLY SEEK LEGAL ADVICE

No one showed up and poor customer service

Was interested in viewing a property and initially really good customer service and very pleasant people. However, turned up to view a property and no one showed up. After ringing and explaining that we were waiting at the property to view, they said that they would find out what’s happening and ring me straight back. I heard nothing from them so left the premises and never heard anything more from them… do they want to sell properties?

Wouldn't choose any other estate agent than the property centre

Amazing experience going with the property centre. We dealt with Simon Robinson who worked so hard in selling our house. Simon was always very polite and lovely to deal with. Simon showed total respect to our home and always saw to it that buyers removed their shoes. Simon communicated regularly with us and sold our property within 2 weeks for a price we were happy with. Thank you Simon it has been a total pleasure.

Very poorly managed rentals

Recently moved out of rental property managed by property centre in Taunton. Our property was originally rented with Richard Gibbins but then handed over to the property centre for rentals. We have had nothing but bad service from them. They have held our deposit as the land lady was not happy with the garden in a residential area known for poor soil/gardens especially in winter months. on the inventory it was written that the garden is acceptable for this time of year however the landlady disagreed and proposed we pay for re seeding. We as tenant felt this was unfair if the letting agency had agreed this was ok for time of year. They made us wait for quotes for this regardless this took 3 weeks. They pressured us to have viewings whilst we were moving out which we felt was unfair. We are still waiting for our deposit and we moved out in November. Every time we ring we are put through to answer phone or people are always in meetings. We get promised a call back and they never do call back. We feel this is really poor communication and has been managed very poorly. they have already re rented the property we moved out of and we are still waiting for our deposit and had to pay deductions from it even though there is tenants already moved in to. really unhappy with the service. Do not recommend.

The Property Centre were fantastic to deal with. Any queries were very promptly dealt with and in some issues I feel that the agent dealing with my purchase went above and beyond what was expected as an estate agent to get the sale process … More

The Property centre in Quedgeley…

The Property centre in Quedgeley marketed a 4 property which clearly stated that the property had no onward chain. This suited us perfectly as we were looking to make a quick purchase. We offered 2K over the asking price to ensure that we would be able to acquire. When we got close to completion, and after spending money on surveys and solicitors fees it turns out that the property did indeed have a chain. The Property Centre then casually dropped this into a conversation about 2 weeks before completion and stated that the seller would vacate whether their purchase was ready or not. Unfortunately this was never the intention and a no chain purchase would have ended up taking at least 8 months. This of course completely ruined our plans and has no doubt had a horrible effect on the poor folks attempting to buy our house who have given notice on their rental property. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE IF YOU REQUIRE HONEST AND UPFRONT AGENTS. BE WARY OF BOGUS NO CHAIN CLAIMS AT BEST THIS WILL END UP COSTING YOU A FORTUNE IN FEES AND SURVEYS. AT WORST YOU COULD END UP HOMELESS AS A RESULT OF SHADY DEALINGS. I would like to add that the Sales Progressor has been as helpful as possible, but has been hung out by the idiots above who are never available for any sort of discussion.
