This is the seventh time I have used Estate Agents to sell a house and The Property Centre have been the best by far. From the very start with Chloe who explained the whole process, set realistic expectations and a realistic asking price, to John and his team doing the visits, Tanna the negotiator and finally to the amazing Abbi Hall who managed the painful sales process to the bitter end. The entire team were responsive, proactive and generally amazing throughout. This process was made more difficult by my first Buyer dropping out, but both times I got a Buyer after just a couple of days on the market. I couldnt recommend them more - amazing.

Our initial meeting with Rebecca was very positive. The team were efficient, proactive and extremely helpful in getting our home prepared and sold before it had even officially gone on the market. Unfortunately, once the sale was agreed, our experience changed significantly. Communication became very poor, and we often felt that we were left chasing for updates rather than being kept informed. There were occasions where communication between the sales team and our onward purchase team appeared to break down, and our Sales Progressor, Susan, did not provide the level of support or urgency we expected when progressing the sale. Despite being in a very straightforward two-person chain, with first-time buyers purchasing our property, every decision seemed to take around two weeks to move forward. We were regularly left waiting for answers while little appeared to be happening. We later found out through our onward purchase team that Susan had moved offices and that someone else would be taking over our sale, which added further uncertainty. Things became particularly difficult when our buyers began requesting price reductions. Rather than feeling supported in negotiations, we were advised by John to accept whatever was put forward to keep the sale moving, with the suggestion that we would recover the cost on our new home. This left us feeling that the compromise and pressure fell entirely on us, rather than there being a balanced negotiation. Over the six months it took to complete, we spent a considerable amount of time chasing for updates and were frequently told there was little or no progress to report. We never felt that our buyers were being encouraged to move things along, and ultimately felt that we were carrying the responsibility for progressing the sale. We did eventually complete, but only after reducing the price of our property by £15,000. It is disappointing because our initial experience with the team was so positive, but the lack of communication and support during the sales process overshadowed this. Sadly, our overall impression was that the team were more focused on supporting the buyers rather than representing our interests as the sellers.

Excellent service from the entire team at the Property Centre Longlevens, from arranging the viewing with Ben, seeing the property with Tanna then being followed up on by Chloe with an update on the property, we couldn't have been more impressed with their professionalism and communication. We very much liked how they came across as a team - a very different experience to the central London agents I worked for and with. Also Susan and Dawn in Sales Progression kept in touch weekly, sharing updates from the seller and their solicitor that were helpful and encouraging. We must've contacted nearly 30 agents over a year and even if we hadn't bought through them, the Property Centre still would've stood out for us. If/when we come to sell they will be our first call.

‘I would definitely recommend the Longlevens Property Centre team for buying and selling a property. I first met the Manager Rebecca at the initial evaluation of the property and found her to be very kind considering the circumstances why we were selling our mothers property. She explained the whole process in a clear way. Ben came out to do the photographs etc ready to market the property. He was very polite and explained everything. Once the property was on the market Tanna and Chloe kept us up to date with every viewing that took place and gave feedback each time. They were both very friendly, kind and informative. 5 star service from the property centre Longlevens, Rebecca and her team where wonderful and made everything flow beautifully. All we had to do was sit back and relax! We had lots of interest and was relayed feedback instantly. After we accepted an offer the reigns where handed to Susan who was a pleasure to talk to and kept us constantly in the loop of progression, and I can not express how much that helps with the stress of moving day looming. We was in a very large chain and after talking to some of the others in the chain, it was clear we was the most informed and again top marks to Susan. Before putting the property on the market, Rebecca made my mum feel at ease, clearly explaining the sales process and what to expect. Chloe took beautiful photos. Within minutes of the property going on the market Ben was arranging many viewings and attended them all, with several above asking price offers being received within days. Once the chain was complete it was over to Susan who kept in contact with me weekly and towards the latter stages daily to keep us updated, working hard to move our sale through to exchange. Used property centre for 2 purchases and as a managing agent since 2019 (7 years) so I have experience with this company. I have no idea what changed but they decided to operate like cowboy builders a tiny issue with the property and they sent out what I can only imagine is the most expensive drawer repairer in the world - on complaint they decided their customer service would be to tell me to f off it is what it is. Thus proving they do not manage anything. If you are thinking of renting through them remember this affects you also as they rip off the landlords it works it way into you rent. Horrible experience after all this time is very disappointing. Edit: their response is a complete lie they do not help their landlords they still haven't tried to do anything about this their customer service is poor

Overall, I had a very positive experience with Property Centre in Longlevens, Gloucester. Everyone I dealt with was very friendly, helpful and professional, and I found the agency to be very proactive throughout the sale. They regularly provided me with updates on the progress of the sale without me having to chase them, which I really appreciated. The agency is also reasonably priced compared with other estate agents, which is a big plus, especially if you are looking to negotiate the best possible price for your property. However, there was one important issue that I was not happy with. When I received the offer, I was told that the buyer was a cash buyer. This was very important to us because we wanted a quick sale, and based on this information, we agreed to proceed with the offer. It later turned out that the buyer actually needed to sell their own property first, meaning there was a chain and they did not have immediately available cash to complete the purchase. This was a significant difference from what we had originally been told and, had we known the true situation from the beginning, we would not have accepted the offer, as speed was one of our main priorities. Unfortunately, this also meant that the whole process took considerably longer than expected. I would therefore strongly recommend the agency being more transparent and precise about a buyer's actual position when presenting offers. Whether this was simply a misunderstanding or something else, it left us feeling that we had not been given the full picture. Overall, though, the agency is very proactive, reasonably priced and the staff are genuinely lovely, so I would still recommend them, just make sure you ask very specific questions about the buyer's position and whether there is actually a chain before accepting an offer.
