I have known and worked with surelet for a number of years and have always found the staff to be friendly, professional and willing to go the extra mile for me. I would recommend using them as a Landlord or tenant. They will always seek to provide an exceptional service whatever challenges are put in their way!
Hi Mr Wood Thank you for taking the time to leave such a good review, we hope we can be of service again to you in the future. Many thanks Sure Lettings

Since using services of Surelet Derby from August 2013 ; I have found them to be excellent at providing a truly professional as well as friendly all-round standard of service. All staff have always been caring and supportive of my personal and family's particular needs, taking care to provide us with best property available. When finding recent suitable property, my wife and I were most appreciative of the prompt and most respectful manner of dealing with us. Many thanks to all staff at Littleover branch and Burton!

I made the terrible mistake of leaving Surelet in Burton On Trent to manage my property whilst I was living abroad. (I managed the property and tenants myself quite successfully for 7 years before giving it to them. The tenant had been in the house for 4 years). To cut a very long story short after only 5 months of Surelet 'managing' my property they allowed the tenant to get 3 months behind in rent arrears, allowed 3 more people to move in without putting them on the agreement, let the tenants 'rearrange' the garden .i.e put up chicken sheds which ruined the lawn, didn't check the house properly, and kept trying to side with the tenant and make excuses as to why the tenant should stay even though she was getting further into debt. In the end, from 10,000 miles away, I took the matter into my own hands and filed for eviction. Surelet even tried to mess that up but luckily I had taken steps to ensure the legal team were calling me and not them. The tenant finally left and to my horror I was presented with a break down of damages 'the angry' boyfriend had created. Something to the effect of approx 4,000 GBP. I was only given 1 quote and told that all the other quotes were much higher so better to go with that one. I had to wait 1 month before work could start and then I had to transfer the money into Surelet's account before any work could start. The work seemed to be taking a long time and the prices given for the work to be done seemed very high. Based on my suspicions, I decided to fly home and make a 'surprise visit' to my house to see what was going on (I didn't inform Surelet). The builder wasn't there and when I looked around the damages stated didn't seem half as bad as what I was quoted for and the work carried out looked like an amateur has done it. When I called Surelet to ask what was going on Andy the Manager in a very sheepish voice told me the builder Ian was doing another job, even though before I agreed on the work I specified that if I pay all the money up front then the work will be done in one go. After the builder has left there was still so much work that needed to be done and jobs on the quote hadn't been carried out. Surelet never checked the work and it turned out that Ian used to work for Andy the manager at Surelet so they were pals. Andy's property maintenance business went bust so that's how he came to work at Surelet. To be honest it didn't surprise me to hear that. After paying all that money to get the house ready to rent (new carpets, whole place decorated etc..., ) Surelet kept presenting me with inappropriate tenants for the property, i.e. tenants with 2 dogs, tenants who had already been evicted from other properties so had no guarantors). I sacked Surelet and found another agent in the end but to my disgust and typical shoddy behaviour of a rubbish agent, the Manager Andy tried to demand money from me! Yes, from me who had been paying an agent to manage a property and which same agent had cost me around 7,000GBP in rent loss and damages. AVOID this agent!!!! There are 100's of other agents all with great reviews...don't fall into the mistake I made. Run the the hills when you see the name SureLet!!!!!
Hi Karen Sorry we don't appear to have you listed as either a tenant or a landlord at all. Please can you get in touch with us so we can discuss what business we did? info@surelet-burton.co.uk Thank you SureLet
