Our worst experience ever. We rented a property through Spencer's. We have been really good tenants, paid on time, kept the house clean at all times. We've now vacated the property and they are not returning our deposit. Lack of communication as to why. We have made a complaint to the deposit scheme and will be taking things further. As suggested I have sent you an email and surprise surprise no response as usual.

Back in January my wife and I decided to move from London to Leicester so we temporarily stayed at our friends in Leicester whilst looking for a property to rent. Took us a month and a half to find one. Personally visited 51 letting agency and had eye-to-eye conversations with all of them. When we came across Spencers, had a chat and left the building I said to my wife "I want them to become our letting agents, so fingers crossed". Long story short (well, shorter), Leicesters Spencers agents are great and positive people, very helpful and inviting. We had pleasure to meet Scott Foster (lettings negotiator) who is SO positively energetic that could charge any ones battery and Rosie Kitson (lettings negotiator) who professionally dealt with all paperwork and supported us by phone and online throughout whole process. Thanks to their hard work now we're comfortably settled in our new home. BIG thumbs up for you guys! If you're looking for a property to buy or rent Spencers is number 1 choice! My wife and I decided to move from Italy to UK, to be close to our son and daughter, both living in UK (the son in Manchester and the daughter, married to a British man and with a new born babyboy, in Leicester). We decided to move to Leicester and we got a wonderful help by Spencers in finding the right property suitable to our needs and preferences. Franco and Emma are very professional and also very friendly. They completely understood our requirements and helped us a lot, also considering the problems related to the fact that, at the moment, we are still living abroad and will move to the new UK property in May. I had an appointment today go view a property in Leicester and I was shocked after reaching at the place that there was no one there to show me around. Even though I had an email and text confirmation from Spencers confirming the date, time and place, no one showed up. If there was a cancellation, I'd have expected at least some form of communication from them to notify me about it but they didn't. This was my first experience dealing with them and will certainly be the last. House purchase is already a stressful task and you expect the estate agents to be more reliable, up front and honest about everything. I moved to Leicester at the start of January and with in 3 weeks I have been able to move in to an apartment effortlessly with no hassle by using Spencer’s. Absolutely awful company! They been my letting agents for more then 2 years, after I moved out they became rude and liars, they now holding my deposit for more then 3 months!!! Always when I call them they just lying to me and when I write emails to them, they just ignoring them!!
