I can’t say anything other than they are a WONDERFUL team who have almost become like friends over a 6 month, very tricky sale of our house. They were so pleasant, communicated well and went out of their way to make sure our sale through. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I want to thank Shanya who even went out to a viewing one evening when we were away. She is so smiley, friendly, and incredibly efficient! Jo the manager again has such a warm personality and was always reassuring when things got unsettled with our vendors. Steff was great too and although came in later on in our sale, was always “on the case”. Can’t forget Mike either who valued our property in the beginning and was very good at explaining the whole selling procedure to us. They are a wonderful team and I would recommend Spencer’s to anyone selling a house in this area.

Having recently completed our sale and purchase, we're incredibly grateful to the team at Spencers for helping us get there. From the outset, Mike was honest, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful in advising us on the best approach to our sale. What stood out even more was his willingness to act as a sounding board and offer advice on the property we were purchasing, despite it not being a Spencers listing. His guidance gave us confidence throughout the process that we were pitching our sale at the right level (and ensuring we were not overpaying too much on our purchase!). Once our sale was agreed, we found ourselves in an exceptionally slow-moving chain with several periods where the whole transaction felt at risk. It was during these challenging moments that Spencers really demonstrated their value. Were are especially grateful to Shaniya, whose perseverance, persistence, and determination were instrumental in getting everything over the line. She consistently went above and beyond, chasing progress, keeping everyone informed, and fighting our corner when others seemed unable to move things forward. During the most critical stages of the transaction, her efforts were invaluable. Buying and selling property can be incredibly stressful, but knowing we had such a dedicated team supporting us made all the difference. We're extremely grateful to everyone at Spencers for their hard work and commitment in helping us secure our forever home and would strongly recommend them.

I used mortgage advisor Cem to get onto the property ladder. Cem has been a great support during a very difficult process, answering every query and worry call/email; being honest and upfront which has helped me to learn and develop my knowledge of the market process and still remaining supportive and positive for me with what I had chosen. I was able to trust Cem to do what was best for me and my circumstances; changing the mortgage deal to get me a better rate. I am not worrying so much about what money I have leftover. Furthermore, Cem has encouraged a meeting next year to plan ahead for my mortgage renewal. This helps my neurodiverse brain; no last minute stress and pressure if it was left until last minute and, helps me to financial plan. Thank you Cem for all your help.

We are currently selling our property with Spencer’s. Mike was very good arranging photo’s and appointments around us and work which was challenging but not an issue at all. He has vast knowledge and a lovely guy. Even replying to emails late in the evening - complete dedication! Both Georgina and Shaniya have been polite and answered all questions and emails promptly. Shaniya arranged a viewing recently and kept my 8 year old daughter amused counting things with her so she wasn’t under our feet, this is what I love about Spencers’s. Shaniya didn’t need to do this but she was amazing and went above and beyond and we our so thankful so I felt I needed to write a review.

We used Countrywide Mortgages and our Mortgage advisor Cem was based at Spencer's in Wigston. Everyone was lovely at Spencer's in Wigston, friendly and welcoming. But our mortgage advisor Cem was fantastic and we can't fault him at all. We started our house hunting process back in October 2024, it was definitely a rollercoaster and had its ups and downs, but we can't fault Cem one bit. He was there through it all with us and explained everything that we needed to know. He answered all our questions and got back to us straight the way if we had any concerns. I can certainly say in 5 years when we need to renew our mortgage, we will be going back to Cem! Thank You Cem!

Really disappointed with our experience. My wife and I have been looking for a property for nearly two months. We found a house we really liked through this agency and thought everything was finally falling into place. The first viewing was arranged and we both took time off work to attend. Less than an hour before the viewing, we were told it couldn’t go ahead because the tenants were on holiday. Surely this is something that should have been checked before arranging appointments and asking people to take time off work. We gave them another chance and attended a second viewing. We loved the property, paid the holding deposit and other monies, and were given a move-in date. Based on this, we served notice on our current home and started making arrangements to move. Then, just a week before we were due to move in, we were told that the landlord had decided to pull the property from the market because they wanted to carry out renovations. What I don’t understand is why the property was being marketed in the first place if the landlord was considering renovations. We are now left with only two weeks to find another place to live after already serving notice on our current property. Yes, the money is being refunded, which is the right thing to do, but that doesn’t make up for the stress, uncertainty, wasted time and disruption this has caused. Throughout the process there was very little ownership of the situation and hardly any apology. We were simply told that it was “out of their hands”. Things can go wrong, but a bit more professionalism, communication and consideration for people’s circumstances would have gone a long way. Unfortunately, based on our experience, I cannot recommend this agency.

Our experience with Spencers was extremely disappointing. We were not informed that the property was subject to probate, despite this being important information that should have been made clear from the outset. This led to avoidable inconvenience and additional expense. After raising a formal complaint, the matter was handled by Connells' customer relations team rather than the Spencers branch. They investigated our concerns thoroughly and ultimately resolved the complaint to our satisfaction by providing a full refund, for which we are grateful. While I appreciate the way Connells handled the complaint, it does not change our experience with Spencers. I hope the branch improves its communication so future buyers are given key information at the earliest opportunity.
