What an amazing and helpful estate agent in Lymington. Brilliant service from Spencer’s Wigston, sold my property before it even went onto the market thanks to excellent communication with potential buyers. Friendly knowledgeable staff who helped with every step including helping me through issues with my onward purchase which was not at all related to them! Mostly spoke to Chloe who was brilliant but also had dealings with the other staff including Mo, Gem and Jo (I think!!) who were all amazing. Continually ignored by Spencers Birstall

Joint sale between Spencer's and purple bricks, Spencers didn't get the sale. I moved in almost 3 weeks ago and have asked multiple times to have the for sale board removed. They continue to ignore me. I just want them to collect this flipping for sale board, how difficult can this be. If they can't organise this, how could you trust them to sell your house effectively....

Being a first time buyer, I went into the process with a lot of uncertainty and questions about house buying and mortgages. Cem was my mortgage adviser, and he did an absolutely magnificent job of it. He went through everything at my pace, with clear explanations, and ensured that I understood everything from start to finish. He did a lot to reassure me throughout and no question was ever too much trouble. I cannot fault him at all. Similarly, I had a great overall experience with the Estate Agent team too. Whilst I felt there was a big rush at the offset, the team were very proactive in helping me with my purchase, especially Jo and Emma. They were both incredibly helpful liaising back and forth with those involved, and along with Chloe, helped move the purchase forward when it became challenging. My one criticism is related to the conveyancing team that Spencers recommended. Their delays and inactivity put my mortgage offer at risk of expiring, and ultimately prolonged a no chain sale to over 6 months. Fortunately, the work of Cem, Jo and Emma all helped to push the sale along to completion in time for my mortgage offer to still be valid, which I was incredible grateful for. I would happily recommend the team at Spencers Estate Agents, and especially Cem for Mortgage Advice, and want to thank them all again for helping me achieve my dream of owning my first home.

The experience I had and the process I went through, in terms of selling my property, from start to finish with Jo and the Spencers' team in Wigston was extremely efficient and professional. All staff I had contact with listened to my requirements, shared their knowledge, used their skills effectively and worked extremely hard to market the property in the best way possible. Didn't purchase my property via Spencers but used their financial services. Gem has been fantastic going the extra mile to find us a mortgage suitable to our needs and negotiated a further cashback with the bank. We preferred to have the insurance and life cover also arranged by Gem as it worked out a better deal and saved the hassle to arrange with so many other things to sort out. The service was excellent. All staff were knowledgeable, courteous and caring. The process was swift and efficient. When there were issues with the vendor’s side, I was kept updated with what actions they were taking to resolve the issue. Using their in-house mortgage advisor also helped the two departments to collaborate and provide the best service possible. Chloe Ireland, our sales negotiator and Gem Kucukdevlet our mortgage advisor were outstanding in the service they provided. I could not have asked for better associates. Chloe would call me every week to give me an update on the process so I felt comfortable and not stressed out. When there were issues, I felt Chloe genuinely cared in resolving the issue for me. I’d built a relationship with Chloe and Gem where I felt I was more than just a client; they took the time to give me significance. I had no idea about mortgages and the process, but Gem guided me and took me through the process step by step and I felt reassured. He took the time out to get to know me and about my background. He would also keep me up to date with the mortgage processes and went above and beyond to support me when I had to change solicitors midway through the process. By him taking the time out to get to know me and my lifestyle, he was able to find the most appropriate and affordable insurance packages on the market; again something which is an alien concept to me but I felt Gem was looking out for my best interests. Both of these guys are superstars and I would not hesitate in going back to them and recommending them to others. They say buying a house is one of them most stressful experiences in a persons life; however these two made it an absolute pleasure.

So disappointing experience with Spencers. I don't think they are professionals. I don't believe their reviews in Google are true. We had the worst experience like tenants. Katy and Naomi let us down. So the things now escalated to Property Ombudsman. Please tenants and landlords and any other people who are using their services look after your rights! Keep your evidences and report Spencers to Property Ombudsman like I do.

When we saw a house on the market we quickly needed to get ours on; within 48 hours our house had gone live and a few hours later we had viewings arranged. With an offer on a house accepted we needed to sell ours quickly and Jo, Stephanie and team worked hard to ensure we had the best chance of doing so. Once the sales and purchases were agreed Spencers were fantastic at going between the various solicitors to ensure all moved at a steady pace. Avoid at all costs Youre lied to through the whole process If you’re selling a property you need to be in direct contact with your buyer and if you’re buying you need to be in direct contact with your seller to make sure you are selling for the same price your buyer is buying for and vice versa . He is NOT allowed by law to take deposits . Under no circumstances let him coerce you into to giving him money ! You won’t get it back . Had my buyer not got in contact with me I would NEVER have known he was selling my property for more than he was telling me and my buyer was buying for more than I was selling for . The deposit he took from her I knew nothing about but he’d written a letter to her saying as per agreed by the family and it certainly was not the case . This person needs stopping . I don’t know how many companies he’s had . Ignore the date in the review it wouldn’t let me change to the date of my experience

I wouldn’t even give Spencer’s Syston or the actual overall company a 1 star! I had the worst experience buying a property. Lack of communication you have to keep chasing for updates. Lies about the property I brought. Took it to head office and even appealed and I got nothing apart of a rubbish apology! I will never deal with Spencer’s again.
