GoogleAN EXCELLENT GROUP OF PROFESSIONAL AND HELPFUL PEOPLE From the outset they were professional and friendly, presenting good evidence as to why my home was valued as it was. Everything was upfront in terms of fees and did everything to make the property marketable. When an offer of sale came and accepted I cannot fault them for the delays as that was because of the one of the parties in the chain but they would do everything they could to make sure everything was moving along. This included trying to get an exchange/completion date, again not hindered by Spencers but by external parties. Whenever any issues arose the staff ALWAYS attempted to help out in whatever way they could all the way up to the manager. I know that most expect professionalism from people like this but I felt like we had a good 'rapport' from everyone I dealt with. Post-exchange - when I was in a bind and up against time and the Renters Rights Act when looking for a rental post-sale they absolutely did everything they could to help me out before possible homelessness. As it turned out it was not needed in the end but I am so grateful for the help they offered. A special call out to Lorna, despite not meeting her until handing in the keys post-completion, she was always so cheerful and helpful on the telephone even when the whole process was becoming frustrating and especially for the help with the rental issue. James was very helpful too as I did deal with him quite often. To all the others who dealt with me many thanks as well. In summary: I highly recommend Spencers Blaby branch certainly for selling a property and I would have no issues buying through them either.

My experience with Spencer’s Estate Agents (Leicester City Centre) has been extremely disappointing, and I honestly wish I had never instructed them. I was persuaded to put my property into auction after being told that this would provide a quick turnaround, with completion expected within around six weeks from the sale. Based on what I was told, I believed this was going to be a straightforward and efficient way of selling my property. Unfortunately, that is absolutely not how things turned out. I have ultimately been left around £15,000 out of pocket, and I feel extremely let down by the advice and service I received. One of the biggest issues was the question of viewings. I was told by Spencer’s that the property was getting viewings and that they were carrying out the viewings. However, I was then being told by the auction company that the property wasn't getting sufficient interest and that I needed to reduce the asking price every week. This left me extremely confused. If I was being told that viewings were taking place, why was the auction company telling me that there wasn't enough interest and continually pushing for the price to be reduced? Eventually, I decided that I had had enough and wanted to withdraw from the auction process and put my property back onto the open market. Even then, I was told that I would have to pay £350 to withdraw. The communication throughout the whole experience was also extremely poor. There were numerous occasions when I couldn't get hold of anyone, calls and messages weren't dealt with promptly, and I was left chasing for basic information about my own property. For an estate agent dealing with someone's property and potentially a huge amount of money, I expected professionalism, transparency, regular communication and advice that was genuinely in my best interests. Sadly, that was not my experience. I relied on what I was told about the auction being a quick six-week process, but instead I ended up facing repeated pressure to reduce the price, poor communication, uncertainty about what was actually happening with viewings and, ultimately, a financial loss of around £15,000. I am extremely unhappy with the way the whole situation was handled. I would not recommend Spencer’s Estate Agents (leicester city centre) based on my experience. If you're considering using them, I would strongly advise you to get everything in writing, particularly regarding viewings, the expected timescale, price reductions and any charges if you decide to withdraw. For me, this has been a very stressful, frustrating and extremely expensive experience, and one I genuinely wish I had avoided and they certainly don't even warrant a one star.

What an amazing and helpful estate agent in Lymington. We bought our home in the New Forest through them and Andrew and all the team at all times were so professional, kind, helpful no pressure but at all times in contact to help us with such a huge decision on the home we wish to buy. Recommended lawyers, surveyors and any other contacts we should need moving into a new area. 4 years and now downsizing and looking to buy or rent. Joint sale between Spencer's and purple bricks, Spencers didn't get the sale. I moved in almost 3 weeks ago and have asked multiple times to have the for sale board removed. They continue to ignore me. I just want them to collect this flipping for sale board, how difficult can this be. If they can't organise this, how could you trust them to sell your house effectively....

We can't speak highly enough of Spencers Wigston. The entire team is oustanding. Shaniya, our Sales Negotiator, was second to none! She was proactive, responsive and an excellent communicator throughout the sales process. We firmly believe that this sale would have fallen apart if it were not for Shaniya’s tenacity. She truly made us feel like we were her only customer. Nothing was too much trouble, and when she said she would do something she did it, and regularly exceeded expectations even in the most challenging circumstances.

GoogleSo I used Spencers for my first property back in 2001, and then ahain now in 2026 for my second property. It was the best decision I have made. The support I received from Spencers, especially Mia was outstanding. I had issues with my solicitors where at times, I nearly called it a day and pull out of my sale and the purchase but the support and help I received from Mia was amazing. If it wasn't for Mia when times where tough through the process, im not it all would of got completed. She is an absolute credit to Spencers and the rest of the guys, really do make a dream team! All the guys just couldn't do enough to ease the issues I faced and I personally thank them all, so much. I would highly recommend Spencers as they give you the personal touch when at times through a process of buying and selling an house, you truly need it! I thank them all, especially Mia 😊

GoogleThe service I have received from everybody at Spencers throughout the process of selling my property, has been incredible! A particular shoutout to Lorna who was basically my rock throughout the last 5 months. My house was put on the market in no time at all and things progressed quickly once I had accepted an offer. The experience with solicitors on both sides has been a very different one - extremely stressful and draining at times but Lorna has been amazing at supporting, whether that was chasing for updates and answers, communicating with the buyer on my behalf or just pushing for movement on the sale - she has gone above and beyond! I would highly recommend Spencers as an estate agent, everybody is so friendly and supportive and they take time to build a relationship with you instead of treating like 'another customer'.
