They deleted my last review but have to say they are pretty bad, if not the worst agency in my opinion. Also anyone reading below should note no one ever has anything good to say about agencies especially with SAB. I stayed with them for six months and frankly its is what it is. Cheap rent cheap housing. Had to call in the council on my landlord since SAB were useless. Best thing is their office was a few doors down to where I rented. Literally neighbours and they refused to help. So in summary if you're a Tenant: Do not rent from SAB unless its a great below market price and location (beware the eye watering fees and don't expect them to be on your side). And if you're a landlord then don't trust SAB to manage your asset. The council will be around very very quickly as I found out.

I lived in a rented property under SAB for 3.5 years. The customer service was fantastic, extremely helpful and the management always sought to fix any problems we had with the property almost instantly on the same day. Would I recommend using them? Yes, definitely.

Even though I didn't end up renting a place through SAB, I had a really great experience with them. Leane and Kane were incredibly helpful, very professional, understanding and forthcoming. They took their time to answer all my questions in detail, kept me in the loop about the property I was interested in and spoke to the landlord on my behalf on several occasions. They also provided a receipt without having to request it and when I withdrew my offer for the property SAB refunded the excess of what I paid on top of the holding fee within 2 days.

We are a family of four, we have been renting through SAB for four and half years. In our experience, SAB has been the best agency we have dealt with in Cambridge. They are professional and respond very quickly to any issues, although issues are very few and far between. We would definitely recommend SAB to anyone who is sick and tired of broken premises, calls not being responded to, or anyone just looking for a caring and quality estate agency service.

I have rented a house managed by SAB (N.B: Longstanton Branch) for 3 years. I could not have expected better service - always extremely friendly and professional, and any issues were dealt with very swiftly. They stuck up for us as tenants on several occasions. I would highly recommend them.

We rented a house off Mill Road for over 2 years through SAB. I don't agree with many other comments here - they were always helpful and professional, albeit the fee levied when we moved in and renewed our lease every 6 months was a bit more than many other agents charge. When it came to moving out they were happy for us to leave earlier than our lease expiry and carried out the necessary inspections and returned our deposit in very good time. Would certainly recommend.

We've been renting with SAB for over a year now and have only positive things to say about them. Any issues with appliances or the flat, of which there have been very few, have been addressed quickly and efficiently to a high standard. The agency are always contactable by email for all matters and we feel like we are treated seriously, as well as with respect and politeness. The shared area inside and outside of our flat is always well kept and there has never been any issues. It makes renting in Cambridge a much more pleasant experience than it normally is! After some negative renting experiences with other rental companies, it's refreshing to find a letting agency that cares about and is attentive towards its tenants. I hope our landlord knows what a good job SAB are doing for their tenants.

A straight forward vetting process and I was in the property. We had very few issues with the property but when we did these were dealt with quickly and efficiently. I would happily use them again should I find myself in a similar situation.

To sum up: after having me run around for a month trying to find new tenants, during which time the agency changed their tune several times, denied having recieved emails from me, claimed they had told me things which they hadn't, and did not give me sufficient notice, SAB are now moving me to a new property. Their initial plan had me giving back the keys to my current place two days before receiving the keys for the new place which they only corrected after I queried it. Over this month I had thought everything was settled at least three times, each time with SAB throwing another spanner in the works. I'm due to move tomorrow, and I just don't trust that it'll go smoothly any more. The agency as a whole seem to have a great deal of trouble with internal communication. I have spoken to several individuals during this process and each one seems to have no idea I've even spoken to the other. At this point, I hardly need to mention the fees- other reviews have adequately covered SAB's tendecy to bleed a tenant dry at every single opportunity.

Our Company policy is not to discuss individual cases but we can confirm that we take all complaints seriously and such complaints made formally to us are dealt with through our internal complaints procedures and if necessary through the third party professional bodies of which we are a member and therefore remain compliant with their regulations. We are confident that the great majority of clients dealing with us remain satisfied with our service such is their feedback. Sab's customer support

The house was grimey when we moved in. They claimed they had it professionally cleaned yet there was cobwebs everywhere. It was the same for the other houses on the street. We had to demand new mattresses! They just flipped them over to hide stains from previous tenants. How unhygienic. Many of the staff have a terrible, unfriendly and stuck up attitude. Im hoping they give deposits back with no issues at least. Whats worst is the amount of money they get from our house alone and still cant afford to maintain things efficiently. The 4*+ reviews on here sound fake tbh, i know of quite a few people living with this agency with the similar issues.

Whilst I have no experience of the letting side of this business, from personal experience I have only praise for the sales side. I only wish the Agents for our new purchase had been as helpful because they created so many problems that a short chain of 4 nearly collapsed. We were kept informed at all stages of the process, and although we have no plans to move again, we would definitely use them again should the need arise. Many thanks and well done SAB

AWFUL!! I have been in rental accommodation for over 14 years and SAB are by far the worst tenancy agency I have ever encountered. They are liars (poor ones at that) and will drain you of every penny they possibly can. Reception staff are rude, unprofessional and patronising. I can closely relate to the negative issues raised by the other google reviews as we have encountered many of the same problems when moving out of our last rented property. Aside from SABs deceitful paper work and poor communication by reception staff, they clearly only care about their wealthy property developer clientele. The only reason the business is still running is on the back of a thriving and competitive rental market in Cambridge. In most other cities/regions SAB wouldn't stand a chance and their dreadful service to tenants would not be tolerated or accepted. If you are you fortunate enough to read these reviews before letting with SAB I would strongly advise you to avoid them. For any landlords who read this I would ask you to demand more from your agency as surely it is in your best interest to have happy tenants in your properties. Good luck to anyone who has to deal with SAB, We never will again under any circumstance!

My family and I have been clients of Saint Andrews Bureau for over 15 years. They manage two residential properties for us in Cambridge. This has included refurbishment projects. I have always had the fullest confidence in their service - they are efficient and keep us fully informed at all times and they have found us excellent tenants. One of the reasons for using a property manager is to avoid the hassles of day to day property management - in this respect we've always been very impressed with how they've handled issues which arise from time to time- they are always very quickly on the case. Kane Astin and his colleagues provide an excellent service and they do this in a good humoured way at all times. I am pleased to recommend them without any hesitation.

I can't really comment on the bad experiences that the other reviewers here have had, but I have been a tenant in an S.A.B managed property for over 10 years and have not had any problems. Before this for several years they acted as agents for me when I rented out a property I owned in Cambridge and I had no problems during this time either. The property that I rent in Cambridge is managed by Claire who is always helpful and efficient. I have found it useful to have one property manager who I have been able to get to know. I understand that relationships between landlords and tenants can occasionally be a difficult one, but on the whole in my experience I don't think St Andrews bureau have done a bad job at all.

If there was a 0 star rating, SAB would receive it. To further the other dreadful reviews that this agency has received, I'd just like to share the horrible experiences that my housemates and I have had from dealing with them. We moved in out of sheer desperation, I didn't manage to see the house before we moved in, but was assured that it was acceptable. (Admittedly that is my fault, not SAB's). They managed to squeeze nearly £1,500 out of us before we'd even set foot in the door and were not allowed to pick up any of our keys until that had been paid, leaving 1 of the tenants homeless with all of his belongings for two nights. The house was a complete state when I moved in, cracks in the walls everywhere, damp and mould and I found a pair of underwear in one of the drawers when I was unpacking my things. The lock on the front door was practically hanging off when we moved in and after countless phone calls, it took them four months to fix. The upstairs bathroom has flooded twice and the only time the landlord appears is when it is absolutely necessary for him. Of course, He blames any complaints we have to SAB are blamed on the landlord and vice-versa. They are ignorant, rude and I wholeheartedly urge you to avoid them at all costs. We're paying extortionate amounts for a house that is not up to scratch and I can do nothing but worry about what is going to happen to my deposit, as everything that has gone wrong (a broken light fixture that wasn't secured properly, a curtain rail that fell down due to it not being properly fitted etc.) has been blamed on us. Cambridge is an expensive place to live. Don't let these crooks make it worse for you.
