I selected ‘Rush Witt & Wilson’ to market my house and have been extremely impressed ,from the very start, with their proactive and professional approach. The initial preparation for market was informed, thorough and prompt. The virtual tour and listing together with photographs produced is nothing less than excellent. Scott Rea ,in particular ,is very focused and has worked really hard he is a very good communicator and I have been kept informed every step of the way. As a result of his efforts the house had 3 viewings within the first week. I would have no hesitation in recommending this agency.

As the executor for a family member, living over a 4.5 hour drive away, I needed an estate agent who I could both trust and rely on.... I chose Rush Witt and Wilson (Northiam Office) as the family member had previously put the property to market with themselves before their illness progressed and it had to be removed. From meeting Oliver Claridge for the first time, I felt a connection, after instruction I met the rest of the team, Kevin and Roz. It's refreshing should you need to call, the whole team can respond rather than just one individual as would be the case in a large multi agency. The property market is in a tough place presently, with country and world issues having a huge effect on it, Rush Witt positivity gives you that added confidence. Once a buyer was found you are allocated a team member to handle the sale progression throughout, again all handled efficiently in-house. We are just about to complete on our house sale in Westfield, and I have been absolutely delighted with the service that we have received from RW&W! A good friend of ours recommended them, as she has used them a number of times over the years, and I am really pleased that we took her advice. Scott Rea did an excellent job of promoting the house, with a first rate video tour and description of the property. We had a fair number of viewings in the first few weeks, and then after an expected lull during August, things picked up again in September and our eventual buyers showed up. I am very glad that we took RW&W's advice to drop our purchase price into the next category down, and fortunately our buyers were in a position to move very quickly indeed ... just under 6 weeks from accepted offer to completion! Throughout the whole process we have been kept very well informed by all the staff at RW&W, in particular Amie Kendrick, Julie Symonds and Liam Nixon, and they have also liaised regularly with our solicitors. I rent a property out in Hastings with RWW St Leonards. All of the team are great to deal with but I would like to highlight here Robbie whose "can do" attitude and approach is properly pukka. In every business there are always a plethora of plausible reasons why something cannot be done, and it is commonplace these days to hear such excuses trotted out. Robbie is not like that: he takes on a problem looks at it and then solves it efficiently and politely as if this were quite normal. Robbie you are a star. Outstanding!

Bad experience

Although the staff were polite and friendly, I had a very negative experience using this company when trying to purchase two grade 2 listed properties in northiam and bodiam. The owner of the northiam property would not confirm if the private drainage was compliant and we waited weeks and it cost us over £2000. The owner would not progress the sale when we offered an alternative way forward. I complained to the branch manager. He showed my complaint to other staff members but never replied to me. The property went straight back on the market even though the vendor would not sort out the drainage and the company completely disregarded my concerns. The next purchasers might fall into the same situation we did and the company do not want to take any responsibility regarding how this effects the buyers. The second property in bodiam was just coming on the market and was disclosed to us that a member of staff was related to the vendor. They assured as the sale could move quickly and if the drainage was not compliant the vendor would sort it out. We agreed to the full asking price and waited for the compliance to be confirmed. We waited another 2 weeks but still wasn't told if it was compliant and also if it was not we would need to pay towards it. The cottage is now back on the market at £20k more than the original price! What I experienced does not seem very professional. BEWARE of private drainage and false promises.
