We sold our property and purchased our new home through Peter Lanes. Tracy kept me updated regularly and was available during these strange times to oversee the progress of both of our property transactions. There were multiple delays with our purchase but Tracy continued to update and make whatever communication was necessary to help progress things. I would use PeterLanes again if Tracy was there as I found her very helpful throughout.

Peter Lane dealt with our house sale faultlessly despite the many complications of Lockdown and the Seller’s being at a distance. They kept us very well informed throughout the whole process. Really happy with the house and initial contact and communication with Peter Lane when booking to view the property and also offering on the property.I felt however during the middle to end of the purchase process when I was hoping to exchange/ complete - that instead of letting me know the bad news they felt it was easier to not contact me or update me and the silence/ uncertainty I found worse. And so I rarely got information or updates without having to myself to repeatedly call them. At first I was really in impressed that I had been assigned an individual point of contact to give me updates regarding the purchase. However - My point of contact that was selected to give me updates through the process, she didn’t work Fridays. Despite this, they kept aiming for a goal date to exchange and complete every Friday which meant weekly disappointment and weekly uncertainty if my house purchase was going through. And no communication whatsoever. And so I wouldn’t hear until the following week etc why it didn’t happens and then was told it might be this week Friday now.However when completion did finally go through, the key collection process and overall communication regarding the completion was amazing and was a breath of fresh air to go and collect the keys in the office and actually see and speak to a human and not just a phone call!

Peter Lane agent was good through our buying process. Sometimes we could not reach the agents because they were busy.when we bought the house we realized that water floating through one of our bathrooms directly to the kitchen ceiling and through the light bulbs while having a shower! Thank God, the safety fuse stopped the electricity and we are still alive... This kind of life-threatening faults must not be covered through the selling process. Agents should be very careful about this kind of issues for not to victimised their customers.

We found the viewing and offering process to be good. However, the solicitors that the agents suggested to the sellers to use, we found were uncommunicative, slow and highly unprofessional. They frustrated the process every step of the way. Initially the agents were not overly helpful but once they saw things from our point of view they were supportive and resolved the problems.

I was a buyer, first viewed houses in March 2020, made an offer around April, (lockdown did slow the house buying process down, mainly due to the mortgage side of things, but this is the same for everyone), I was able to collect keys in December. Katie Taylor was my main point of contact. I find the team to be really responsive and engaging. They were quick to answer my questions and were even able to help me out post-closing to swiftly contact the seller (who is now overseas) so we could stop the burglar alarm which we had triggered, this was resolved within 10 minutes. Additionally, they also helped to gather some further information from the seller during the house buying process which I was very grateful for. I had a pleasant experience with Peter Lane and would happily recommend.
