This was a very difficult sale following probate but Colin and Tracy have been amazing, not only keeping me informed but also liaising with the buyer and solicitors. Cannot thank them and all the staff enough for jumping through the hoops, jumping over the hurdles and finally completing on the sale. Thank you all so much

Peter Lane were very professional. Although we had to put everything on hold at the start of the first lockdown they restarted the sale when we were ready and we completed without any problem. We were very happy with the whole process.

We were really pleased with the service that we received from Peter Lane, all of the staff were kind and informative throughout a long and arduous process. While we were in a position to buy they were the only Estate Agent we liaised with that actively promoted relevant properties to us. All others rely on you to engage with them and seemingly find the properties on RightMove. Definitely something to consider if you're selling!

To say that the service and communication was poor from Peter Lane would be an understatement. I was planning to sell my house through them, and it went something like this:1. An agent came to my home to do a valuation - had done no research on houses sold in the area and didn't know that a house exactly the same as mine had been sold down the street within the past month (by Peter Lane) and although he was here to do a valuation asked me how much to put it on the market for and just agreed with what I suggested....I let it go, he seemed nervous and I assumed he was new to the role.2. Viewings were booked and I was continuously asked to conduct the viewing myself although I had expressed from the start this was not a possibility. I didn’t receive any feedback from the viewings and when I chased, they would say they'd get back to me and never did.3. After initial viewings things went quiet...no communication, no consultative service about what our next steps could be etc.....nothing. 4. After months of no communication whatsoever I called Peter Lane, they apologised and said they’d send someone else round…which they did, he was full of apologies and a promise to ensure we got a better service from this point onwards….we then heard nothing from this guy either!5. The government announced the stamp duty holiday and naturally there was an increase in interest, I received contact when someone wanted to arrange a viewing, no follow up to advise on feedback and on two occasions when I had chased they said that the viewing didn’t take place as their agent had failed to show up at the correct time. There was also another occasion where they had to cancel due to staff sickness (which I understand is an unforeseen circumstance, but after the countless issues I had experienced I was surprised it was my viewing they wanted to cancel).They could then never get hold of the viewers they had let down to rearrange. I assume they had as little trust in Peter Lane as I did at this point.6. Asked Peter Lane to take my property off the market, 1 week later still not done, had to call to chase!At best Peter Lane acted as a key holder to let people in my property, at worst they were stopping viewings as they couldn’t get a simple booking right.

I went to view a property at Sugar Way, Peterborough a while ago. When I met the agent there, I sensed discomfort in him, but I thought he may’ve just had a hard day. He rushed me through the viewing and then said he’d get back to me as four other people were yet to view it. I waited several days to hear back. When I didn’t hear anything, I called in to check if the property was still available, only for them to tell me it was gone. Something didn’t sit right with me, so I asked my girlfriend who’s white (only stating so in order to get my point across) to call and ask to view the same place. They told her an agent would get back to her later in the day. To my shock and surprise, the same agent got back within 30 minutes and clearly stated the property was available. She told them she’d book a viewing later. We left it. 3 days later, an agent called to ask if she was still interested in viewing this very property as it’s still “very much” available and ready to be occupied as soon as possible. I watched in horror as we both realised I’d been profiled. The agent knew nothing about my education or financial status. He just looked at me and assumed the worst. To be very certain, I called back that day to once again ask about the property and once more I was told it’s gone. Peter Lane need to do better. They need to vet their staff for prejudices and racist ideas. In a fair society, people are judged not on looks, colour or accent, but on merit. I have a high earning job and a business. I have both a bachelors and masters degree, but none of that mattered when that agent looked at me. He just saw an object of disdain. Very bad of Peter Land to employ such people. I know they will deny it & invalidate my experience if they see this, but I’m sure I’m not the only person of colour who’s experienced this from that same man at that branch.

Communication is not their strong suit. They don't communicate with the buyer or seller very well. It would be much more efficient and less of a time waste if they were out of the picture.

GoogleOur experience of buying a property in St Neots with Peter Lane was outstanding. Direct, clear, fast advice and support from Gavin and Stuart was always appreciated. There were the usual tense and uncertain moments that arise in any transaction and when these came, there was only calm and precise action points from Peter Lane. Above all I found all the people at this agency to be down to earth and very able to balance facts and emotions, supporting the best outcome for all parties. It was a real sense of satisfaction to deal with this agency and to be honest I would not use anybody else in St Neots, selling or buying. You can use them with total confidence, they will not let you down.

GoogleWe highly recommend Peter Lane in St Neots - Stuart, Gavin, Caroline and the rest of the team were brilliant as they sold our house. Good but realistic valuation (unlike others who valued low to sell quickly or valued high to try to win our business). Viewings were easy, updates were regular and most important they sold our house (in fact more than once, when we had problems further up the chain). They are organised, efficient and nice people! We would have no hesitation working with them again.
