A Truly Exceptional Experience with Peter Lane (St Neots) My partner and I began our journey in October 2024, and to say it was stressful would be an understatement. Selling two properties simultaneously, losing two buyers, and then missing out on the house we had our hearts set on, it was a rollercoaster. We were working with different agents, which added to the complexity. Just when things felt bleak, we came across a listing from Peter Lane in St Neots. We arranged a viewing and were warmly welcomed by Caroline, who immediately stood out. She was kind, knowledgeable, transparent, and genuinely supportive. We fell in love with the property and made our interest known, but unfortunately, I had just lost my second buyer and wasn’t in a position to make an offer. Despite this, Caroline stayed in touch, kept us informed, and seemed genuinely invested in helping us secure the home. A week or so later, I found a new buyer, and Caroline was the first person I called. She submitted our offer, and it was accepted! From that point on, Caroline and Stuart went above and beyond. Although Peter Lane wasn’t even our agent, Caroline took it upon herself to act as the sales progressor for the entire chain of five. She chased solicitors, kept everyone updated, and was relentless in her efforts to keep things moving. When she went on holiday, Stuart seamlessly picked up where she left off and continued to drive the process forward. Thanks to their dedication, we are now happily settled in our new home, and I’m writing this review with immense gratitude. I can confidently say that without Caroline and Stuart, this move wouldn’t have happened. Peter Lane were not our agent, but they were the most proactive, caring, and committed professionals we encountered during the whole 11 month process. We asked Peter Lane & Partners to sell our first property and help us find our forever home. My dad had used them previously and was extremely pleased with their service, so we decided to follow in his footsteps. We are so pleased we did. The team were able to sell our home in less than a week and they helped us find our new home a week later! Recently re used this agent after they sold my previous property 16 years ago, loved the fact i was working with the same people again and they did an amazing job, sold the house within 2 days of it going on the market and completed in ten weeks. Stuart, Gavin and Caroline were amazing to work with and it felt as though I had my own personal team looking after the sale and felt as though they loved the house as much as i did. Gavin and Caroline gave me constant updates and liaised with the other estate agents making sure i was kept informed at all times. We decided to go with Peter Lane for the selling of our house, and we honestly could not have chosen a more perfect estate agent. Our first experience was with Gavin who is just the nicest person ever, no pushy sales tactics and he made the selling process absolutely seamless, he was honest and genuine and went over and beyond to help sell our house. After a few months into the sale we dealt with Caroline who is just incredible, to say she went out of her way to help us sort out a few problems is an understatement, nothing was ever to much trouble for Caroline and she always did everything with a smile on her face. Caroline is an absolute pleasure to work with, and the other members of the team have always been fantastically supportive. From the beginning of each of our experiences we have received great advice, excellent communication and a truly personal, professional service in every respect. Throughout the process Caroline was always on top of every detail, pushing things along with solicitors, other estate agents, buyers and sellers, making a sometimes complex and difficult situation so much easier to manage. We bought our house through Peter Lane 3 years ago and had a brilliant experience working with them. So when it came time to move on, we knew we wanted to sell through them. Stuart came over to value the house the day after we initially got in touch, and gave us honest and realistic advice. He and the team got the house on the market and arranged viewings very promptly, and secured an offer within a week of it being listed. From there on we mainly dealt with Caroline, who is nothing short of amazing!! She negotiated a complex and challenging chain brilliantly, even answering calls and responding to emails on her day off to ensure we were able to complete on the sale. TL;DR: we used Peter Lane to both sell and buy and wholeheartedly recommend them. When getting our house valued ahead of sale, we went with Peter Lane because Caroline showed such genuine enthusiasm and passion to market our home. We are so glad we did. From valuation, paperwork, viewings and offers everything was conducted smoothly and Caroline was always at the end of the phone. When viewing properties, Caroline was hugely supportive in clarifying our buying position with other Estate Agents. In the end, Caroline let us know of a property coming to market with her colleague Stuart, and set up a viewing for us. Stuart was great, he knew all the details about the property, was there to show us some key points and features, and then left us to look around on our own. He is such a calm, relaxed, professional that it really was a "viewing" with no pressure or rush to offer or close the sale. Again, throughout the buying process we were always able to call the office and speak to either Caroline or Stuart and if they said they'd call us back, they always did (which is something I really appreciate!). We can't thank Caroline and Stuart (and the rest of the team) enough.

Disappointed as a seller

I have used Peter Lane twice now, once as a buyer in 2020 and once as a seller in 2022.As a buyer I could not fault them, they were informative, helpful and always on my side.As a seller the experience was an entirely different one. We never really intended to sell but we saw a house we loved up for sale with Peter Lane so we agreed to put our house up with them as long as we bought that one. It took too long for Peter Lane to put my house on the market that we lost the property we wanted. As it happened we did receive a good offer and with Colin's help we pushed it up so decided to stay on the market and keep looking. We eventually found a house we loved even more and the buying process started. From here Peter Lane were practically non existent for us. We barely heard anything from them, unless we asked specifically for an update. Meanwhile our purchase agent was having 2 weekly catch up calls with us. Towards the end we were struggling with our purchase solicitor, although we were selling through Peter Lane they recommended Key Conveyancing (and were receiving a fee from them) so I asked if Peter Lane could chase her. I was received by a response that could be summarised as that's not our job.To summarise my experience I have never been a fan of online agent due to a fear of no personal service or contact, however my partner used an online agent to sell his property and it would seem he received a very similar level of service that I recieved with Peter Lane but at a much cheaper price.

I’m really happy to give this review because most agents are tarnished with the same brush, and that’s a real shame as a lot of them are not of that ilk. Tracy at Peter Lane (Huntingdon) really pulled the stops out. This review is in regards to my purchase only. My poor vendor should have exchanged/completed last week, so, yes Peter Lane will want to seal this deal, BUT, from the offset, Tracy has been amazing. She accommodated all my viewing requests (which were on the day I called), information I needed was obtained within hours, and the whole experience has been seamless, and above all, a joy to speak with someone who is just a lovely soul and an absolute pleasure to chat to. My experience thus far has been wonderful!! Thank you Tracy and everyone at Peter Lane.
