I contacted Peter Lane to sell my mums house after her death. Colin Turner came round the house to evaluate and was very understanding and empathetic, he wasn't pushy and I felt very comfortable with him. He was very knowledgeable and explained fully the next steps. Once I had accepted the T&C's, I dealt with Anne-Marie who was friendly, informative and would always ring me back if I had left a message. Such great service. Caroline was dealing with the sale of the house upwards in the chain, but the amount of work she put in to driving the chain below was absolutely phenomenal. It was a complex chain that even to the end felt like it could fall through at any moment, but she worked tirelessly and patiently to make sure we completed.

From start to finish my experience of purchasing our home through Peter Lane they demonstrated one of the best examples of customer service I have received from any company in any sector. This was entirely down to the dedicated friendly and professional staff. Trust is not just given, but is earned and they earned are trust. Throughout the process it was clear that the vendor was their client and was at the heart of what they were doing, and for this reason if we ever move I will be asking them to market our house. Caroline, Stuart and Gavin were excellent at making sure that everything in their control ran as smoothly as possible. House moving is not without its bumpy patches and during these times Peter Lane were communicative, responsive and worked to keep things on track. We chose them after having a really positive experience with them when we originally bought the property, and so chose them when we decided to relocate a few years later. They were great at getting people round to view the property, and Caroline was on the ball at every stage. Original review as first time buyers: Very impressed. As first time buyers we needed quite a few pointers about the sale process, but the team were more than happy to help every time. Thought the sale, Peter Lane were very consistent and prompt with all communication. They even helped us get our poorly performing solicitors to complete necessary tasks at the required time. When the negotiations with the sellers got a little difficult they kept everything on track. I believe with a lesser agent, our purchase would likely have fallen through. I'll certainly use them when we come to sell the house. 2021 Update, having used Peter Lane for a sale: We chose Peter Lane when selling after having such a good experience with them as buyers. They actually managed to surpass our high expectations. For context this is during covid, an extra challenging time for all involved. They were highly realistic with us regarding price, which allowed us to sell in a reasonable amount of time. Viewings were conducted well, with no hassle. The most impressive element of the transaction was Caroline handling the chain. This was a challenging move. Several people in the chain, covid going on all around us, and at least one solicitor going quiet for weeks at a time. Without being asked Caroline dedicated her time to pushing it forward, checking in with the other agents and solicitors at least on a weekly basis, sometimes on a daily basis. If it wasn't for her attention I believe we would have missed the stamp duty cutoff and our son would have missed out on his school place. Peter Lane are the people you want on your team. I can't recommend them highly enough.
