GoogleI can't say enough positive things about Oakwood Homes. I came to Oakwood Homes after having a few negative experiences with other Estate agents, and was blown away within their incredible customer service. From the first phone call I had with them, I felt heard and valued. From viewing the property, to referencing, and then finally moving in was seamless. I am now fully moved into my property and couldn't be happier. I want to send a special thank you to Daisy, Maddie, Alex, Amy and Lorraine who made what can be quite a stressful experience, extremely positive. I would recommend Oakwood homes to anyone, whether they were buying or renting, selling or letting. They keep you informed throughout the whole process, so that you can feel at ease. Any query I had was dealt with the same day. I felt they really valued me as a customer and they took the time to ensure everything was done correctly and to a high standard.

FacebookWorst managing agent ever. Been a tenant with Oakwood 7 years never missed one month. Even paid the landlord all through lockdown out the furlough. Even though we was well within our rights not to. So when I call them to tell them I am unable to work, and my partner and I have split. UC have issued a benefit cap with has meant that I got £1200, my rent being £895 and having 4 children in the house. Baring in mind I’ve worked the whole 7 years as a tenant and would probably be back at work next month latest. I asked to allow some time to get this corrected and sorted out. May possibly take until the next months rent is due. They screwed my over and instead had all my UC removed and sent to them before I could sort it out. Leaving me just £225 to feed 4 children for a month. And pay for hot water. Even though I sent the UC statement and they knew fully what they were doing. This is how they treat the tenants that regularly pay their rent and look after their houses. DO NOT RENT WITH OAKWOOD IF THEY MANAGE THE PROPERTY.

Chanele - your case has been handled in a professional manner and in conjunction with TDC. It is disappointing that you feel the way you do especially as the Landlord has been generous and waived rent due.

FacebookFrom start to finish Lorraine made our journey really smooth and completed really quickly. We found a house for rent that we liked and we had pretty much signed agreement within a week. Nothing is ever too much trouble. We would highly recommend Oakwood Home .

FacebookWould highly recommend Oakwood Homes Letting Agents. I have lived in one of their properties for almost 6 months now and nothing is too much trouble for them. Kate was fantastic in dealing with my tenancy sign up. My property manager Toni is also brilliant and is very quick to respond. They work really hard with both the tenants and the landlords to ensure communication is quick and clear. Will certainly stay with them as long as I can.

FacebookKate and Amy have been absolutely incredible from start to finish. So much patience with us, promptly answered any questions we had about the property and made us feel welcomed and valued as prospective tenants. Extremely friendly service. Especially in such uncertain times we are in. Amy was fantastic when finalising the tenancy and the whole process was smooth and easy. I highly recommend the goodlord service used too as it made the process so quick. A* Agents. I look forward to them being our property agents moving forward.

GoogleTenants please watch out!!! Not only did Oakwood homes not check that our Landlord was legally compliant, which has caused us no end of problems and seriously disrupted the first 2 months of our tenancy, Oakwood homes also appear to have forgotten the 'Duty of Care' that they owe to tenants, irrespective of the fact that they can no longer charge tenants because of the Tenant Fees Act. The staff, especially Lorraine are great, but the senior Managers and Directors need to seriously review their policies for taking Landlords onto their books so as to ensure that those Landlords are legally compliant. Imagine how much better (& safer) the world would be for tenants knowing there is a letting agent who actually does put tenants (safety) first and properly vet Landlords? After all, us tenants are stringently vetted, so why are the Landlords not stringently vetted as well? Or does the money you get from Landlords override your duty of care to tenants? Until Oakwood homes remembers the duty of care that they owe tenants then they should change their logo to read "Putting (non-compliant) Landlords First"...

GoogleAwful company. I would urge all Landlords/Ladies to take your custom elsewhere! They are not to be trusted on any level. Please beware!!! The lettings manager recently married the director of the company, therefore there is clearly a conflict of interest as there is nowhere to go if you are unhappy but the Ombudsman! Which, I didn't find out until too late, you will soon learn the Ombudsman is funded by the lettings companies they 'regulate'! Oakwood are correct that my complaint was not unheld and I learned what they are like the hard way.... I urge you to not do the same. Thanet Council will offer you better rates, service and peace of mind. Please feel free to respond again, Oakwood, I am more than happy to screenshot correspondence between us!
