GoogleI’ve had such a positive experience with Shana Tolsma throughout the whole letting process. As this is my first time moving out, I naturally had a lot of questions and was quite unfamiliar with how everything worked, but Shana made the entire process feel extremely straightforward and manageable. She has been incredibly helpful and understanding of my personal circumstances, guiding me through every step and always taking the time to explain things clearly. No matter how many questions I had, even if I was asking something again for reassurance, she was always patient, approachable and more than happy to help. What I particularly appreciated was her bubbly and welcoming personality. Moving out for the first time can feel quite daunting, but Shana made the experience feel much less stressful and gave me confidence throughout the process. Her communication has been excellent, and I genuinely felt that I could contact her whenever I was unsure about something without feeling like I was being a nuisance. I’m extremely grateful for all of Shana’s help and would happily recommend her to anyone going through the letting process, especially someone moving out for the first time. She has made what could have been a stressful experience a very positive one. Thank you, Shana!

GoogleThe whole sale has been handled very professionally, particularly the way you kept everything moving and stuck to the timelines. Getting from the property first going live on Rightmove to completion in just under three months is no small achievement, especially in the current market. I was also genuinely impressed with your online process, from completing the initial forms, to the automated emails and texts for enquiries and viewings, and especially the way every viewing was followed up and the feedback presented clearly and professionally in PDF format. It made the whole process very transparent and easy for me to follow. More importantly, you kept reassuring me at every stage and gave me confidence that things were progressing as they should. Maia, you're definitely a star. After this experience, I can safely say that when any of my other properties come to market in the future, Oakwood will be my first call. GoogleDisappointing experience A £468 charge was suddenly deducted from my landlord funds without prior explanation or my approval. Oakwood gave me inconsistent explanations, including blaming the block management company, even though Oakwood itself had deducted the £468 from my landlord funds while the block management company is still reviewing the matter. I therefore referred the matter to The Property Ombudsman (TPO). TPO awarded compensation for the communication failure. I lost confidence in Oakwood Estates and decided to manage the property myself. Even the handover has been slow, and basic tenant information is still outstanding.
Dear Jamie, We apologise if your experience left you feeling let down. As The Property Ombudsman conducted an independent review of this case, we would like to clarify the facts and the Ombudsman’s conclusions. In order to safeguard the tenant and ensure that the landlord’s legal responsibilities were fulfilled, the repair was essential and needed to be completed promptly. The Ombudsman confirmed that we arranged the repair appropriately and that it would not have been reasonable to postpone the work while the cost was being disputed. It is also important to clarify that the underlying issue related to the block and was the responsibility of the block management company. As the landlord was out of the country, Oakwood Estates went beyond our normal role as managing agent by assisting with communications and pursuing the matter on the landlord’s behalf, rather than leaving the landlord to deal with the block management company directly from overseas. The Ombudsman recognised and appreciated the steps we had taken in this respect. As a gesture of goodwill, and not as an instruction from The Property Ombudsman, we offered compensation. GoogleWe used Oakwood Estates Maidenhead for a sale and coincidentally onward purchase. Their positive attitude, thorough documentation pack and realistic valuation had us convinced to go with them from their first visit. The sale process was extremely smooth and a buyer obtained within a couple of weeks of listing. The buying process was equally slick, with Oakwood facilitating a rapid negotiation and sale agreement. Charmaine especially was fantastic throughout the process, always driving for a resolution that felt equitable to both parties involved and helping to drive the transaction along. This is the first positive review I have left for an estate agency - So thank you to Oakwood for finally setting the bar highly on this!
