TrustpilotWater coming though ceiling and walls
A leak was reported to Barratts about my home (which is well within the 10 year warranty). Water drips into the ceilings and walls. Damage occurs every time it rains and there is wind, when water blows up through the soffit vents. Barratts sent contractors (CWroofing) to assess the leak who failed to arrive and submitted a false report anyway saying there weren’t any issues. Barratts have since washed their hands with it and refused to help, despite this being a breach of the warranty agreement. Appalling customer service.

Two meetings on site of about one hour were arranged.The first introduced the development and allowed the proposed flat (still in late stage of build) to be seen. The second next date started the process of actual purchase. The agent was both very patient dealing with questions and had available all the details needed. My previous home purchase was 45 years ago so I had no experience of what was needed today and it was so helpful to deal with someone who had access to the information.

Leaking window (after section of frame fell off from top floor), leaking boiler, leaking back porch, kinked outlet dishwasher pipe, non water proof granite, wonky banister....lots and lots of snagging (initial work incomplete or incorrectly done) BUT contractors were supplied to rectify and especially AshH@BDWSW provided excellent customer care in putting things right.

We have just purchased our first home at the Wintringham site and the Barratt team have been superb from start to finish. They have been very helpful, explaining every single detail and taking us through the process step by step. There were no surprises and everything was clearly explained. The team was in contact with us throughout conveyancing and were always happy to answer any question. The sales team are amazing, greeting us with a big smile every single time. We have moved into the site at Clements view Wallyford and the service has been really good. When ever anything has been needing done it’s fixed straight away. The site manager Sean has been really good and also the people in the sales office.

We moved into our Barratts house on East Haven in Barry nearly a year ago. We still live on a building site, and there seems to be no interest in progressing works. What's more we've had old Heras fencing in our garden slowly rusting. Despite my asking for it to be removed, it keeps reappearing. We were promised that a flood wall would be built, yet this hasn't happened. So the front of my house floods on every spring tide. I would avoid buying a house on East Haven in Barry, unless you want to live on a permanently flooded building site.

Congratulations to all of you who have had such great experiences with Barrat. Let me tell you that down the line you may regret your decision. I live in one of their properties, which is 20 years old. The standard of build is shoddy and much of it done on the cheap. The building is full of leaks in inaccessible areas, where communal pipes are difficult to locate (behind walls, under floors etc). Barrat don't even have a copy of the plans of the building that we can look at to source the leaks. So not only did they use poor quality materials that haven't stood the test of time, they're so badly organised that they can't help when help is needed. They'll read this review and simply say what they said to me - we don't keep plans for such a long period. So for the sake of a small space in a filing cabinet, people who bought a property from them on good faith must continue to suffer. I hope Barrat are proud of themselves. Well done also to the shareholders who profit from this.

I have an appointment on that day to buy a new home.at Barratt. I have met Eilene who is very kind and helpful throughout the process. She explained the cost, place to buy, showed detail about the house and the money I need to arrange for the deposit. She also engaged me with a mortgage advisor who can help me with the stuff about mortgage whom is also very helpful. As a buyer of newly buy a property, it is very difficult to deal with these process unless I get a hand from the developer site. Therefore, I would like to appreciate all the utmost supports that Eilene gave me. I just want to say thank all of you very much and wish Barratt poceess more and more prosperous years ahead.
