We are looking at buying a new house again, won’t be from Barratts, once bitten twice shy. Never buy a house from Barratts, once you get past your 2 year warranty everything starts to fall apart. Contact them first thing they say is warranty period has ended don’t want to know sort it out yourself. Once they’ve got your money they don’t care. If they can get away with not repairing something which is substandard they will. Never again!!!

It would have been outstanding if our one request would have been considered to put the standing shower above family bathroom above bathtub, as it was quite necessary for us and we have to spend extra money and might needs tiles take off from the other plumber to get it fixed which could possibly not have nice finishing…

This is the first time we have bought a property in Scotland and the first time we have ever bought a new build. The service from Barratt has been fantastic from start to finish. They have responded within 24 hours to every email or message. They have responded quickly to all our questions and resolved problems if there have been any. The only thing we think they could do better is make people fully aware if they have to provide their own flooring. they have recommended Solicitors and tradesmen we have used which has been very helpful. Just wish we were moving in and not renting it out.
