Went in to enquire the houses. Not sure I was ready to buy as I had been contemplating. I did not even book an appointment when I went to enquire for the house. I was welcomed in by Kelly, what can I say about this lady? So down to earth and she is an asset to Barrat Homes. She was non judgemental in her approach and I could feel her passion; to help people. She explained everything to me in simple terms from the day of the enquiry to completion. If it wasn't for Kelly I would not have gotten my beautiful home. Thank you ever so much Kelly, Please do the same to others coming behind me.

Lorna, whom we dealt with, genuinely couldn't have been more helpful throughout the entire process, from setting up a Teams call with us initially, through to when she handed us our keys. Between those times we were kept up to date with progress on the sale, and we're provided with all of the key information we needed before our move.Overall, a fantastic experience, far superior to our previous house purchase - many thanks to Lorna and the team at Barratt's for our lovely new home.

Very friendly service from the get go. The sales team I had were so accommodating towards us, explaining everything in simple terms we would understand and going above and beyond to support visits especially for me who works away and was not able to visit as much as I could. They were also very quick at responding to any questions we may have had.

Don't buy a new build off Barratts. I could go into it all but your best bet is just to stay away. It states Jane from Customer Care Team has been in touch, she has not! It is all lies, please do not buy from them. There is a what's app group for the Chilmington site and it is horrendous with the amount of people unhappy, not being listened to about their properties they have saved many years for a deposit for.

Buying a Barratts home was single handedly the worst and most regrettable mistake ever made.From day one it went from bad to worse, the house was not ready to move into and Barratts could not own up to this, it was down to me to tell them of the obvious unfinished state of the house, no real apology and no real compensation for the stress and frustration imposed on me and my family because of the negligence of this developer and the manager for the south west (Cornwall)The process of trying to get what was advertised to me as a “5 star home” was agonising to say the least! I was sold an unfinished and pathetically put together “house” which genuinely made me feel like I had been scammed, and that feeling lasts to this day.. The list of problems we had are endless, and the issue is that the problems were never put right properly or professionally and every problem “fixed” is never as good as if it were done properly in the first place, and this is what gets me the most among the total embarrassment of the team that I had the misfortune of having to deal with. The staff turnover at Barratts is like musical chairs, every few weeks I was dealing with a different person due to staff leaving and then there’s no proper handover or continuity which breaks down communication and trust levels.I warn and urge everyone not to buy from this developer if you expect high quality and reliability. Now the latest news about Barratts being involved with illegal price fixing they’re under investigation by the government and trading standards - I would not be surprised if they broke the law because they certainly did with my house in the way they sold it to me.Utter rubbish of a company, stay away as far as possible.
