Great experience

The team at Rogerson Gardens have been spot on. Sales advisor Cathy has been great! So helpful and responsive. The assistant site manager John also seems really helpful and came around quickly to sort something out. Would have been 5/5 however their solicitors didn’t stick to a deadline set by themselves for exchange, even though it was made out to be a fixed date for all.

All great , just a little too intense at a very stressful time . Contact through solicitor to solicitor would have been easier to reduce the stress levels . Informing re internet connection taking a week despite setting up , and also should have been ready to launch on moving day . Also being informed that would require a tv Ariel to get terrestrial tv would have been an advantage

Absolutely amazing company!

I can comfortably rate Barret 5* as Anthony Thomas has been absolutely fantastic, he is friendly and approachable and has put every worry we have had to rest, he never shys away from questions and goes above and beyond every time to ensure any issues are settled quickly. We have had a wonderful time in our new build home and can confidently say that Anthony has played a huge part in making sure that we have settled well and feel welcomed to the neighbourhood.I must also give credit to Nathan in the customer service building as he made our purchase of the property go smoothly and ensured that we were supported whenever we needed, he was always a quick phonecall away and was extremely helpful by making sure that we knew exactly what stage of the build our home was in and being more than happy to help us with whatever we needed.I can't thank the whole team enough. You have made our dream home possible!

Not compliant with Part S of the Building Regulations in relation to EV charging

I have had my fair share of issues after moving into my new home - those were resolved after multiple escalations but resolved nonetheless.For the last 4 months, since owning an electric vehicle I have come to new revelation that none of the properties they have constructed in Ashlawn Garden , Rugby are compliant with Part S of the Building Regulations in relation to EV charging. No charging points setup in new residential development of 100s of new houses. No ground cabling provided if you wish to install an EV charger to your house. On top, installing a EV charger could thousands of pounds to carry out the necessary ground works, as you can't just fix to your house due to health and safety concerns the way parking spaces are allocated to house owners.I wonder how the government aims to reach their net zero emissions target, when the builders are not complying with the regulations even in the new build and how the local councils are approving development plans that makes it difficult to own an electric vehicle.3rd July update: Nope, I have not heard back from your team since 12th March on this topic. I had also raised a complaint with NHOS - NHOS-2024-000309. When they reached out to Baratt homes, your team advised to make contact with Elle Blake, the Divisional Head of Customer Care, to discuss.So as per NHOS advice, I have emailed last night to your customer service team and Elle Blake to register a formal complaint. Waiting for a response.

Avoid like the plague. I've lost thousands in estate agent fees, solicitor fees and snagging fees.

Don't trust Barratt's movemaker/part exchange. They will change contracts without telling you and cost you thousands.I was sold one of their plots through their movemaker scheme on the basis of having a part exchange fallback. The buyer that Barratts secured through their movemaker (we had no control over sale price, estate agent, sale conditions etc) messed about for months trying to get different mortgages but we were assured by the sales advisor that they would get their stuff in order and that "there are many options available to us if the buyer misses their deadline".They allowed us to tour the plot, pick out the flooring and pay for a snagging report. We also chose their recommended solicitor, estate agent and snagger which were not the cheapest.I asked several times if I could convert to part exchange as I didn't trust the buyer they had chosen and was told that they would look into it. They chose not to tell me that they wouldn't part exchange despite it being written in our reservation agreement. Lo and behold the buyer that they had selected failed to meet their deadline and instead of offering us a part exchange fallback as agreed they instead pulled the plot from us and re-marketed it without so much as a courtesy phonecall. Months later they still have not told us why they refused to part exchange as per our reservation agreement and we have now just gone through the entire process again a couple of thousand pounds poorer but with a different developer who were much more professional and understanding. Anyone looking to buy in Nuneaton. Avoid Saxon View like the plague.

I had two customer service men attend to a mould problem which has been ongoing my for years.I can’t say I fully rate barratt, I’ve had a few issues which I’ve had to fight to be sorted. However the two men Graham and Keith who attended my property were extremely helpful and super tidy too which I appreciated.

A very positive experience

From the moment we walked into the sales office, Louise was fantastic. She answered all our questions and queries. Once we reserved that didn't stop Louise kept us informed every step of the way and was extremely accommodating when we wanted to visit the property for measurements etc. When moving day came, it could have gone a little smoother Barrett's solicitors were very slow at releasing the keys even though funds had been transferred hours earlier I was disappointed by this. But once again Louise and Elaine were brilliant, we were looked after in the sales office whilst they both made multiple calls to people to get our keys released. These ladies are a credit to the Barrett's Sales team. I would just like to add that my husband and I are both very happy with our new home.
