From start to finish buying our house from Barratts, the experience has been amazing. Sarah was great from initial viewing through to reservation and purchasing and Darren has been brilliant completing the house tour with us and subsequently sorting little snags we have had. Highly recommended!

It was a great experience to start with - the staff was supportive and always tried to help.The experience that led me to believe this building brand does not care how the house is built as long it looks good on the outside was when being 2 years and 9 months in my new home we started to have water leaks from the 1st bedroom ensuite - tried to contact to have some support from the builder but because my "2-year" warranty was gone they dismissed the issue immediately.Since I had to strip all the tiles to see what went wrong I could see the malpractice and poor workmanship that went in + normal gypsum plasterboard ?? Nothing applied waterproof so they only rely on a grout line that on a new build might crack or move (something that we were never made aware of or to look out for).Even looking at the NHBC Standard they do not follow their guidelines - a tanking system should be part of it as bare minimum.Anyway, this is to help people who might face the same issue in the future - if you do your pre-plaster tour ask the question around your bathroom/shower enclosures because this is something they will do wrong and you will not be able to detect until too late.Thank you Barratt for the extra bill with my ensuite bathroom but no worries as we have done the work properly that you have never tried in the 1st place.

The energy and enthusiasm Sinead brought to our home-buying journey were contagious, and after just one tour of a house similar to ours, we were sold! This was the first and only house we looked at, and we haven’t regretted it for a second.As our move-in date approached, we met Paul, who provided us with a thorough walkthrough of our new home. He explained how everything worked in great detail, but in a way that wasn’t overwhelming. The team here on our development are all so super friendly and always get any queries dealt with as quickly as possible, right from Michele in our Sales Office, who was our first port of call in our query today, within a couple of hours Brandon, one of our site managers was there and dealt with it. Always had the best service from both site Managers, Brandon and Liam, and an efficient friendly face in Michelle.

From the moment we stepped foot into the Harrier Chase sales office in Brough we cannot fault the experience with Barratts.Emma who looked after us from January 2024 until moving in June 2024, was absolutely superb.Nothing was ever too much trouble and our questions, queries, everything was all handled timely and can’t ask for much more than that. Emma arranged for us to see our home whilst it was still being built, accommodated so many visits to see the show home, always so friendly and welcoming.The recommendations from Emma were all spot on and it’s really helped our house become a home very quickly.What really sends this experience into the top class - is the end to end experience. Obviously you hear horror stories with new builds, but from the moment we stepped foot into our home, the care on site has been completely flawless.Ryan, the site manager and his team are superb. Every single snag, issue has been dealt with promptly and with care and have full confidence that will continue.The site team are always on hand if there is something to sort, despite having to manage a very busy site, lots of activity, it takes some doing to make that look easy, but Ryan and his team have it down to a pure art form.Even the little stuff like the team driving by in industrial vehicles humouring my 3 year old daughter who waves at them yelling ‘Tractor, Tractor!’. Can’t thank Emma, Ryan and all the team on site enough, for making our dream move easy from start to finish.Thanks guys, it is really appreciated.
