GoogleI would say that Jo the Progressor was ace. Jo kept everyone on track and kept me informed all the time. On the sales side, I found myself in a less than ideal situation on a ground rent issue due to incorrect information. However, I believe this was the sellers issue really. Generally a very good experience.

GoogleTop quality service from start to finish, our sale was a long process interrupted as it was by the lockdown but Michaels kept things going to completion of the sale last week. I would certainly recommend them without hesitation.PositiveProfessionalism

GoogleMichaels were recommended to me and I was not disappointed. All members of staff have been polite, personable and efficient. All phone calls were followed up by emails, above and beyond.....fabulous. I cannot praise them highly enough and would definitely recommend them to everyone. Thank you.

GoogleAVOID at all costs as a landlord. We have used various agents over the years to manage our properties and Michaels are by far the worst we have ever come across. Maria Southgate (lettings manager) was completely unprofessional from start to finish. She lied to me on multiple occasions about important matters (e.g. telling us an EPC had been carried out on our property for me to then find out months later this had never been done). It always took weeks to get a response and months for them to provide repair quotes for damages which meant further damage was caused in the interim. They never carried out routine inspections despite this being in the contract so the tenants ended up smoking (which was a breach of their contract) and damaging all of the carpets in the apartment, something that you'd expect your letting agent to inform you of! The final nail in the coffin was her 'accidently' informing the cleaners to dispose of everything in our apartment after the tenants had vacated which meant they binned all of our possessions (including things like the vacuum cleaner, phone, lamps, rugs, cushions, iron, kitchen equipment and so on). My husband and I had to literally climb into the huge communal bins to retrieve our belongings which is completely unacceptable. I feel completely robbed considering we paid them a large sum of money in management fees over the months when they failed to manage our properties whatsoever. We've now switched to Openrent, I'd recommend you do the same!

GoogleI recommend you think very carefully before you rent from this company. My daughter and I were left in a property with lights not working damp and mould whilst paying £1225 rent. Micheals over inflate rates by approx £200/month to properties and then fail to provide basic repairs. I get it, you really like a property you have seen but just be mindful of our experiences and don't end up like we did with rooms we couldn't use and health hazards.

GoogleCalled on Thursday to book viewing, spoke to a man who informed me they can only do it in the morning so I agreed and booked for 9.30. 9.45 and after knocking on the door several times and waiting in the cold we called them to be told they had nothing booked and the property sold last week. I understand issues may happen with booking ect, however to book a viewing after the house has apparently been sold is absolutely atrocious. What kind of company books viewings after a property has been sold and leaves people standing in the cold? Definitely will not be using Michaels again and will take our commerse elsewhere.

GoogleTheir integrity and work ethic proves they have put a Great Team together. It was a please to work with them, always available (even on weekends). I've worked with many real estate agents in buying, selling, and letting out properties, I believe Michaels Property Consultants have set a very high standard in the Colchester area which is beneficial to all market participants and counterparties as such.

GoogleSo I just finished buying my first home with Micheals property consultant, and what can I say. I was so nervous about the whole process, but from start to finish the team looked after me in every way possible, keeping me updated throughout even though the world was at standstill due to covid19. They put me in touch with Gemstone Mortgages sorted me out so I knew what I had to spend and play with within reason. The team found the house telling me to book in and have a viewing as this matched the criteria that I was looking for. And I’m so glad they did. I finally collected my keys yesterday to a social distance very happy welcome in the office. So I would highly recommend Micheals and Gemstone Mortgages as they are very professional and if like myself you are nervous and need you hand held 😂♥️ Thank you,PositiveProfessionalism

GoogleWe have had an excellent experience with Michaels from start to finish. Everyone that we dealt with was very helpful and unlike many other estate agents we have viewed with, actually knew the details of our property during viewings.

GoogleWe dealt with both Colchester and Wivenhoe branch for our sale and purchase. We chose Michaels as they seemed to go that extra mile and we were not disappointed. Great communication from the start, very professional and they kept things moving. Very pleased with our decision.

GoogleI'd like to thank the team for all their hard work! Their services on both occasions that I have used Michael's (selling the property as well as finding tenants) has been professional and personable.

GoogleI can not recommend this estate agents enough! They go above and beyond to help you no matter the circumstances. You don’t feel like just another house sale. When things got difficult for us they were there everyday chasing everyone up for us and trying to put solutions in place, even after 7 months of waiting to complete. The whole team are lovely and you won’t regret choosing Michaels Property Consultants as your estate agents! 5* service!

GoogleTo be perfectly honest my opinion of estate agents in general prior to engagement with Michaels was low. However Michaels, particularly Michael and Connor acted in the most professional and diligent manner and nothing was too much for them. I will certainly be recommending them to friends, family and clients.PositiveResponsiveness, Professionalism

GoogleCan thoroughly recommend this Agent. Michael (Bickmore) was efficient, personable and professional throughout the whole process, keeping me updated weekly on the progress of my flat purchase. My initial contact was meeting Connor at the property and again impressed by his professional yet personable manner. They seem to have a great team!

GoogleWhat can i say!! Michaels have been amazing from our first email about selling our property, to coming out for a valuation. The photos of our house were lovely, she had an eye for detail and done the simple things like putting the toilet seat down and making sure the pillows were fluffed, which is a big thing for me when I was looking at properties. They got the right people through the door and not time wasters, viewings could be booked in advance and last minute (and they showed them round) but would also let you know if they couldn't do the viewing and asked if you were available, again a massive plus in an estate agent. Once they sold the property I got handed over to Jo, who phoned/emailed me with weekly updates about where we were etc this was a massive weight off my mind. Close to completion Jo and Michael were literally amazing, I can't thank them enough for organising exchange and completion, especially during this time. Thank you so very much. You sold my house but I'm now in my home. xxx

GoogleI found the perfect property advertised with Michaels. Throughout the whole process they’ve been extremely professional, always accessible & on the ball. So much so I recommended my best friend put her house on the market with Michaels & they didn’t let me down .. it sold quickly ! Don’t take my word for it ... try them out yourselves ... you won’t be disappointed. There are many estate agents in Colchester but few can compete with the level of customer service & attention to detail as Michaels.

GoogleI have marketed many properties over the years and my recent experience with Michaels puts them way ahead of the competition. Michaels have a sound knowledge of the local property market as well as excellent communication skills. A sale which met a number of obstacles was managed skilfully to a successful conclusion. A friendly, good value and highly professional service - a definite choice for my next property transaction.
