TrustpilotUnprofessional and rude during a viewing
I recently attended a viewing for a property I was interested in renting. Unfortunately, my experience with the agent left me quite disappointed. Firstly, I was not informed that this would be a block viewing with another person attending, which was unexpected. When I arrived, the agent asked me to wait outside while another person viewed the property. I asked if I could view it at the same time, and they agreed, however, the interaction made me feel quite uncomfortable. Throughout the viewing, the agent was very engaged with the other viewer, asking personal and friendly questions and showing genuine interest. In contrast, I was barely acknowledged. I couldn’t help but feel that I was being treated differently, which was disheartening and unprofessional. Everyone deserves to be treated with equal respect and courtesy when viewing a property. I hope the agency takes this feedback seriously and ensures all clients are given the same level of attention and professionalism in the future.

GoogleAfter having a very positive experience buying a property through Melvyn Danes Wythall, I choose to sell my property through them as well. Everything went very well and they were always on top of everything to ensure my sale went through successfully and quickly (9 weeks). Plus they were super friendly and helpful if I ever needed anything or had a query. Very highly recommended.

GoogleHaving had a very difficult property to sell -with various problems -the staff were very helpful and were quick to acknowledge with my solicitor and eventually the contracts / meter readings were carried out promptly . i have have no problem on recommending this company including Pat & Larissa who were excellent .

GoogleVery poor experience. All viewings were unprofessional and the lady that showed us round couldn’t answer any of our questions and had no information to hand about the property. On our second viewing we were given only 10 minutes to look around as she had to rush off to another viewing. Any conversations over the phone were stand offish, rude and unprofessional. I will avoid booking any viewings with properties under this agency in the future.

Initial viewing of a property with Larrisa was great. Larrisa was friendly, personable and polite. However, all changed when I had to deal with Pat, manager in head office. She dealt with taking offers. She was rude, curt and basically not a very nice personality. I will not deal with Danes again, and that is only because of this person. The star is for Larrisa

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience. Dealing with Pat Gilbert, (the manager of the firm) she was incredibly unpleasant, she was aggressive, rude, and completely lacking in people skills. From the start, she made the entire process stressful and uncomfortable. Rather than offering guidance or support, she was hostile, unapproachable, and frankly seemed like she had no interest in helping at all. It’s baffling how someone so unprofessional and unfit for customer-facing work is in a managerial position at an estate agency. That said, Debbie and Larissa were a completely different experience, absolute stars. Both women were professional, warm, and incredibly reassuring throughout the entire process. They carried themselves with a calm confidence and genuine kindness that made a world of difference. When you’re making a big decision like buying a house, that’s exactly the energy you need and these two women delivered it flawlessly. They made me feel respected, heard, and supported every step of the way. If anyone ever finds themselves dealing with this company, I highly recommend asking to work with Debbie or Larissa only. They are the saving grace of this firm and clearly take pride in their work, unlike Pat, who unfortunately gave the entire experience a sour edge. As an owner of more than 1 property it is very important to know who you choose to sell your property as this can affect how quickly your house is sold. After speaking with 2 of the most pleasant women throughout the day then communicating with Pat I know I will not be using this specific firm to represent me nor any of my properties that I plan to sell in the near future acknowledging that communications may be had with this person and I may lose out on sales due to this persons “bad mood”. This first is the wythall branch avoid at all costs

GoogleThe lady who showed us round could not answer any of our basic questions to do with the property. All was going okay after offer until we wanted to pull out due to a bad survey report which we are within our right to do. Pat was very stand offish and didn’t let us talk or discuss negotiations, even going as far to say only 3 pages of the 50+ survey report actually mattered. She said they won't reduce the asking price because they accepted our offer and cancelled other viewings, we did not ask for this that was the vendors choice. We then saw a second property and the same lady showed us around and again couldnt answer any of our questions. This was just one of the many poor examples throughout the process. This was not a nice experience especially as a couple buying their first home together. Would not recommend. The 1 star was for removing the sold sign within 24 hours.
