Buying a house is very stressful. Thankfully, the house we fell in love with was being marketed by McFarlane. McFarlane were there for us throughout our buying journey, especially Tom and Natalie. We rented a property through McFarlanes and the service was sub par. We had mould in the downstairs bathroom for over 5yrs and their resolution was to "open a window" in the middle of winter and a cost of living crisis. We had condensating patio doors when we moved in and this was ongoing until we left the property 6yrs later by which time their was scale and growth between the panes. Upon leaving they expected everything in a better condition than when we moved and are currently contesting our deposit despite evidence. They were even that lax on their side of things that they didnt have the amemded inventory on file so we had to provide it to them AGAIN. Even now, whilst they are trying to use our deposit to pay for repairs they are not keeping us informed without having to chase them. Absolutely shocking people working for a shocking company. Avoid them at all costs!!

No Wonder Estate Agents Have A Bad Reputation . Contacted them to arrange a viewing of a rental property. A day later they asked us to fill in an application which we did and said they would get back to us. After hearing nothing we contacted them again only to be told ‘oh this one is in the process of referencing so is not available’. Why on earth couldn’t they just have told us that when we made the first request. Very shoddy and underhand service.
