Do not waste your time with this unprofessional agency. They do not reply to emails enquiring about lettings. They lie, fob you off over the phone, and say you are on a waiting list but never get back to you. Obviously, they partake in favouritism towards potential tenants. Would not recommend in any way whatsoever!

Would prefer to give zero stars - Possibly one of the worst estate agents I have ever dealt with, moved into a property and part way into the tenancy found out there were massive issues with damp. Told the member of staff that managed our property and was surprised to find out the already knew and had basically never got it sorted the first time round when the previous tenants had raised it. Also allowed access to our home without prior notification which goes against any tenancy contract. All in all I would leave these agents well alone, they do not care about their tenants as long as they are getting their money and don't fix any serious issues no matter how much you raise it!

Macfarlanes have been our managing agents now for a number of years and Carla who looks after our properties is always helpful & on the ball. She is very quick to react to any queries and or problems that may arise. The turnover in our tenants is quite low due to the care she takes in obtaining the correct type of tenant and the safeguards put in place when a property becomes available.

Sam and Tom, as well as all others in the Macfarlane Swindon office, have been so wonderful throughout this whole process. We were unable to find a house the first time yet Sam suggested another property that we loved! They swiftly suggested a viewing and I felt supported by them. Highly suggest this agency if one is looking to let!

I'm currently renting a property from McFarlane and I would highly recommend them as letting agents. From the moment I viewed one of their properties to picking up the keys from my property manager Carla I can honestly say I have had a great experience. Carla has been brilliant answering any questions I have had and making sure that maintenance issues have been fixed promptly. Carla been our contact for running our HMO for over 4 yrs. Always professional, friendly, helpful, responsive and communicates well. Great liaising between tenant, contractors and landlord. Tom and Joe are very good on the letting side. They recently found a tenant and commenced referencing for another property within 1 week of initial advertisement. Very pleased with McFarlane. Happily recommend them to other Landlords.

We used McFarlane for buying our lovely house. From the buyer's point of view I can say it was a great experience. The responsiveness and assistance we received was excellent considering all Covid measurements. Cricklade team was absolutely amazing. Special thanks to Tom, for organising everything and keeping us connected with the sellers throughout the whole process. Sold my house through McFarlane’s earlier this year and have been renting through them whilst I wait for my new home to become ready! The help, support and professionalism shown by both their Sales and Lettings teams throughout the process was second to none and I will certainly look to use them again in the future - highly recommend to anyone looking to move!

Tom and Tim have been very proactive when sending us information about new properties coming onto the market, which they believe would be of interest to us. A couple of times, we've been the first to see the properties, which if the property was right, it puts us in a strong position to put an offer in, before the property goes onto the market.
