Finally decided to purchase my new home and choose Abbey Homes but unfortunately experience has been horrendous since day one. Site team was very unhelpful and Customer Service has been ignoring our concerns and refusing to come and sort the issues. Unacceptable situation. They bend over backwards for you initially when they are getting their commission and all is joyful then as soon as they hand over the keys they couldn’t give a flying fluff about you! Trying to chase up snags is like trying to find rocking horse poo. Definitely won’t be buying a house from them again. Buying our first ever New build home with Abbey Homes has been an amazing experience and we are so pleased we chose this quality development on the edge of the countryside with field views but still close to amenities. We love our new home , plot 7 at Wellington Gardens in Walmer and have felt thoroughly looked after from start to finish and beyond! The sales team were exceptional and held our hands through the entire ordeal of the legals. Our first contact was Amanda who showed us around several properties and answered all our queries. She was very friendly and reassuring with the buying process. We then were very impressed with Zoe with her thorough knowledge, she has been extremely friendly and kept us fully informed throughout the whole process and took alot of the stress away.Prior to completion we met Simon, the site manager, for our full house demonstration. He knows everything about how our house works and now so do we! He also dealt with our snagging list which was very minor but he resolved all the issues quickly and efficiently. We felt very looked after and nothing was too much trouble, he went above and beyond our expectations. Following his visit, the next day, he accompanied Steve from Sunshine plumbing to sort out a few radiators. We were so impressed with the speedy service as it was just before Xmas! Steve was great and sorted the radiators out quickly and very patiently explained how the heating works.We would highly recommend Abbey Homes and their team for anyone considering buying an efficient, well made, brand new home. We are delighted with our new home and definitely feel its been money well spent.

When we bought our new house we were delighted. The first few weeks of moving in the staff couldn’t be faulted. However after being more than a year while the house has started to settle that’s when all the problems started.The houses are fitted with poor quality materials that do meet the national standard but only just. Squeaky floor, unlevel staircase, issues with drainage in carport, marestail breaking through tarmac in drive way and other issues.When contacting Abbey Homes customer service they are really rude and unhelpful. Always seem to pass you on to other people and the problem never is actually resolved.Customer service is shocking as we would never buy a Abbey house again as we are left with house that has lots of issues and they are now refusing to resolve the issues.

From the very start of my journey with my first experience with Barbara, I just instantly knew I was making the right decision and can confirm i definitely did.Barbara on the sales teams, is one of the warmest and sweetest, genuine people you’ll ever come across in life. Barbara gave me all the information I needed and always replied back to my emails and messages very quickly. Barbara was also always more than happy to arrange any on site visits when I wanted to check on the progress. This is a very reassuring and special touch I was very impressed with, especially for a first time buyer. I had a couple issues with my process (nothing to do with Abby new home) in which I was then put in touch with Jessica. Jessica was absolutely amazing and really held my hand and supported me a lot which I was very grateful for even when she didn’t have to do any of that for me. At the start of my journey when I had my first site visit, I met Ian and Nev, the site managers. Meeting them also reassured me I had made the right choice by going with Abby new home. A lovely special touch that Ian allowed me do it on my first visit, is to sign my name on the wall. Since moving into the property, Nev has been nothing short of amazing, really going above and way beyond to ensure everything is okay and is quickly on hand if anything should need doing around the house. I would definitely recommend Abby new home, Arcadia park and especially to first time buyers 10/10. Thank you to Barbara, Nev, Ian and the team, it’s been a pleasurable first time buyers experience!

Abbey have still left us with mould growing under our kitchen floor and have now washed their hands of the situation following 2 months of trying to tell us we were lying. Investigations have shown lying water underneath the lino and now that they have realised the washing machine isn't leaking and the pipes under the sink are fine (like we already mentioned) they refuse to now take any further action so leave us with mould in our home.
