GoogleWe were looking to purchase property in Penistone and at the time Lancaster’s seemed to have the lions share of properties available. We visited the agent in Penistone and told them of our requirements so they could contact us if anything that might be suitable was coming on the market. We did not have a property to sell and was looking to buy as soon as possible. Unfortunately we did not have any calls but kept looking on the website. We eventually found a property and made an appointment for viewing, after the viewing we popped down to the branch to make an offer. This is where we thought the service was poor, the door was closed due to COVID even thought the sign in the window said appointments welcome, Debbie knew we had been to the view the property and came to the door and asked what we wanted? I said that we would like to make an offer thinking she might ask us in to discuss as we were wearing face masks as well. This did not happen even thought it was raining at the time, she asked us what the offer was in the street and said she would come back to us considering we were making a big purchase we felt we were not taken seriously. The offer we made was not enough but we made a higher offer and this was excepted. From this point we did not have any contact from this branch. The next contact we made was to view another property the end of February as we were messed around with the property we were originally buying. Debbie took our call and was surprised that we wanted to view another property and asked why we were doing this, so this shows there was no contact during this process if there was things might of been different. We viewed the next property and purchased this and thankfully we have moved in and are happy. But again the only contact we had in this purchase was the initial phone call of our offer and an email to say the offer was accepted. When we went to collect the keys we were again met on the pavement and handed the keys in the street, not invited into the branch. We felt underwhelmed at the welcome and service provided. Considering purchasing a property is one of the most expensive purchases you make we felt we have had better and more friendlier service when having a meal at a local restaurant than we received from this branch.

FacebookHave sent numerous messages asking about a house up for rental on Honeywell grove that’s been up for rent since April but still, no one has contacted me. If this was my house, I wouldn’t be happy.

Google4 Properties I have tried to view. No response from emails, phones always busy, you leave messages no one replies. Final straw today, very rude lady... She finished her conversation with me by saying ' the long and short of it is that the landlord has found her own tenant so it was no longer available. Do i want to rent from them???? I do not think so Its a shame they have the monopoly on renting in the Penistone area, it would be such a lovely place to live.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

GoogleWe recently sold our house with Lancasters and the service from start to finish could not have been better. We dealt with numerous members of staff, all of which were extremely professional, friendly and knowledgeable. We would like to extend an extra Thankyou to Alex who went above and beyond to ensure our sale and move went smoothly. We wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend to anyone looking to buy or sell that they contact Lancasters!

GoogleHaving previously found out (the hard way) which agents in the area not to use, our development company were blessed when we appointed Lancasters to sell our plots. Alex Jones who headed up the sales process there has been truly fantastic, never hesitating to go out of her way to assist not just ourselves but the buyers too. Friendly, approachable and very professional! In an age of questionable customer service across the UK, it was just refreshing to work with someone that wanted to do their job to the best of their ability and Alex certainly delivered. Highly recommend and will not hesitate to use her, and Lancasters, again on the next project. Rick

GoogleWe bought a house which was up for sale with Lancaster's, Alex was absolutely fantastic all the way through right from the start. She was always professional and followed up on every enquiry we asked with speed. I would recommend Lancaster's on the experience we had with Alex. We primarily dealt with Alex and her professionalism and communication was faultless.
