GoogleAwful. We rented through them for 2 years and any issues we had (and we had a lot!) were either ignored completely or left weeks/months until anyone bothered to sort it. Now we have left and they are charging a ridiculous amount of money for basic cleaning without providing any kind of breakdown. Absolutely do NOT recommend.

GoogleBefore I signed the contract, the communication was great, almost too good, with constant reminders to sign documents, provide ID, and set up payments. However, once I moved in, the service fell apart. I've been chasing them for weeks over a WiFi issue, a simple task of knowing whether external drilling has already been done on my flat prior to moving in so I can set up fibre broadband or if it would be possible to arrange this as I need it for work, and have asked to contact the landlord directly. Every request has been completely ignored or a half hearted reply. I was promised a property manager would take over after moving in, but over a month later, not a word from them. It feels like the person doesn’t even exist. Simple things were overlooked, like not telling me where the gas and electric meters were. Something that basic should’ve been made clear, but I had to figure it out myself. To add to this, we were promised professionally cleaned carpets before moving in. Surprise, surprise, this didn’t happen. It delayed our entire move by 24 hours and caused major inconvenience, as we had people rearrange their schedules to help us move furniture. Their communication is so poor. I've sent various emails to multiple people in their so-called “team” with zero responses for over two weeks. Good luck getting anyone on the phone, no one ever seems to answer. As you can tell from other reviews, I’m not alone in my issues with them- I just wish I’d have looked at them properly myself before viewing their listings.

GoogleBy far the worst letting agency we have ever used. How anyone has ever given them more than 1 star I have no idea. If I could give them less I would. Every time we ring we get passed from pillar to post promised phone calls back and nothing. Been going on four weeks now and when the rental contract came through it was wrong. Spoken to them again twice and it's still come through wrong twice. Absolutely diabolical service. Please AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!!!

GoogleFabulous service from Olga at John Shepherd. She helped us find my disabled mum a new house to move into and was amazingly helpful. She even came out to the car park to us in the rain to go through some paperwork as my mum couldn't make it in the office. Nothing was too much hassle and every query was answered quickly and efficiently. Would very much recommend John Shepherd to anyone and if you want someone who goes the extra mile in lettings, make sure you ask for Olga.
