I would like to say a special thank you to Gita, her customer service is second to none. Gita responds so quickly to any queries or repair issues and not only does she help solve them, she almost always follows up with a phone call or an email to make sure the issue has actually been resolved, that I’m happy with the resolution and that the work has gone smoothly. She’s always friendly, polite and efficient and is a credit to the John Shepherd team.

We have now used John Shepherd to sell 2 houses and both times service has been excellent. 1st house was sold in 4 days the 2nd house a couple of months but the market has been more difficult lately. Abby has been great, put up with all my questions and calling for updates nothing was ever too much trouble. As a landlord, I'm not quite sure what I was paying them for...they certainly found new and inventive ways to squeeze cash out of me whenever they could - despite opting out of rent guard they still charged me for it, plus an exorbitant fee when my tenants moved out for a check out they took ages to sort and were never quite sure they'd done.

As a prospective tenant I found Shepherd to be attentive and responsive. Having paid my initial rental, there was a remarkable change in their attitude. Immediately after collecting the keys I advised them by telephone of landlords processions being left in the flat and that their inventory report was not worth the paper it was written on, with damaged fittings not listed and assertions made that the property had been professionally cleaned when it was left in a filthy condition. This was confirmed in writing by returning the amended inventory and requesting contact. Despite assurances made to respond, they have totally ignored me. Tenants beware. They are not interested in carrying out their duties as managing agents and you will be ignored based on my experience.
