GoogleI rented a property, gave my notice to leave the property, the landlord approved the return of deposit after we left. And John shepherd have now kept a hold of this deposit after saying it’ll be returned. It’s been a month now and I’ll still waiting for it with no up dates from them and no contact other then when I’m chasing them for it. No answers as to what’s happened or why it’s taken so long this is ridiculous and outrageous. You was quick enough to take the money but won’t return it.

GoogleOf all the letting agents I have experienced over the years, John Shepherd have to be the worst.... in every way!
Unprofessional, rude and completely clueless when it comes to supporting their tennants needs. Delays in repairs, reference requests and the deposit at the end, all took forever.
These guys are totally out of touch with how quickly some requests need to be dealt with and only adds to stresses of the Tennant.
Avoid if you can...

We should have been more concerned when they got our house number wrong on the initial property details but instead we laughed it off !!!
Within 3 weeks and after speaking to a potential buyer, who had found it difficult to arrange a viewing, we decided to change agents. Thankfully we hadn’t agreed to a minimum term.
However, a few weeks later, we received and accepted an offer from a buyer who had originally viewed through John Shepherd. We had no choice but to see the transaction through with them.
Over the following months we experienced unprofessionalism, told lies and treated with utter disregard. Eventually the sale fell through. No thanks to John Shepherd, who incidentally, were also selling our buyers house.
We have recently sold our house with a different agent and the experience couldn’t have been more different.
Go elsewhere. Avoid at all costs.

GoogleTerrible - contacted this estate agents about a property we were interested in viewing, told to leave details and “someone would get back to us” didn’t hear anything back for several days. Then we were told that they were fully booked for viewings and that they had already had multiple applications. We expressed interest in a property the day it was listed, told to wait for someone to get in contact and that we would be able to arrange a viewing, then after following up, we were told it was already gone. Never got to view the property, apparently if you just call up last minute you’re more likely to be able to view a property than having them contact you after leaving your details and being told to wait.
