GoogleI bought my flat through Jan Forsters in tynemouth. Lorraine Robinson handled this for me and she was fantastic answered all my questions and chased up the seller which led to me getting the flat a month early which is great. GoogleI must say that even though I didn’t end up renting through these guys, I still had a really great experience with them. I went go view a flat, the lady who showed me found was lovely and so helpful. I found somewhere a little closer to where I wanted to be and when I let them know I’d be going through someone else, they were so understanding and wished me luck. I also really appreciated how after the viewing, they checked in on me but didn’t bombard me with emails like some other agents do. I still regularly check their website for properties as I’d love to work with them again in the future.

GoogleLorraine Robinson at tynemouth branch was amazing from start to finish, I was concerned that we wouldn’t be able to rent the property we wanted, she went above and beyond speaking with the landlord on our behalf and had the tenancy agreed subject to references. Every time I called the office she listened to everything I had to say and offered help where she could. I found her the most helpful member of staff I’ve dealt with at Jan Forster’s and she is a credit to the company. Thanks again Lorraine

GoogleI would prefer to have given them 0/5 had there been an option. Avoid like the plague! This firm is utterly appalling. I rented my property through them fully let and managed. I signed their contract, which they then failed to carry out and breached a number of terms and conditions, by not completing set tasks that they were paid to do. They caused me a huge financial loss because of numerous administrative errors, that a child would make. There is a real lack of care and attention to detail, they only care about themselves not their clients. They are dishonest and untrustworthy, cowboys in the trade. I would strongly advise you don’t use them, save yourself wasted time, effort and distress. I have complained to the Ombudsman about their behaviour and how they conduct their business, it is wholly unacceptable. Please use an alternative firm and save yourself the brother. I was highly dissatisfied.

I saw the rightmove advertisement and interested in one Terrace at NE17, I have left message and expressed interest since 24/3/2024, they never get back to me.I tried to call the office today, this afternoon at around 1:00pm, the gentleman who picked up the call with inpatient attitude to answer my queries,then I asked him on how can I submit the offer, he then hang up suddenly. Then, I rang again, and asked him same query, he then hang up the line again, with relatively poor and impatient attitude. Then, I rang him again, he then never pick up my call again, i can't image how the service can be such awful and his attitude was quite rude. In fact, I believe the comments here were all true, and the vendor was very unlucky to use them as they already ruined all the potential opportunities and clients.All their clients and potential clients were unlucky to meet them as well !Ps: I am not sure who picked up my call, the date and time for my calls was on 3/4/2024, time was around 1:05-1:20pm, the number which I called was 0191 743 0175.

GoogleMyself and my partner have had nothing but good service from Jan Forster Low Fell all the way through our house purchase process. Often we was left in the dark by other parties involved with the purchase but these ladies and gents were able to offer us that insight going above and beyond to reassure us. Karen in particular was extremely helpful and should I ever need to deal with an estate agents in the future it would certainly be this fantastic group of individuals I go to. Thank you! GoogleI chose to Jan Forster for my flat sale and I was extremely glad to use them as my estate agent. From start to finish Karen and Andrew showed professionalism, expert local knowledge, flexibility, and were worth every penny. I’ve dealt with other local estate agents and they blow them out the water. I was able to trust Karen with being able to work on my best interest, and her advice from listing at the right price to get a quick sale, to her patience and ability to chase and help push to completion at the end was incredibly valuable. Would highly recommend over any other agent in the area.

Awful experience was looking to buy from them. Ended up sending all my personal details about the transaction to my ex then didn’t bother to tell me that the seller had put the property back on the market after my buyer pulled out even after saying they would potentially wait for me to find another buyer. Wouldn’t buy or sell from them.

I tried to show up at their offices to arrange a viewing, but they closed the office because there were protestors. I learned from the protestors that Jan Forster has kept one of their existing tenants in disrepaired housing with mould, ivy and dangerous electrics, and served a section 21 on them after they filed a complaint with environmental health. I'm glad I bumped into them, or who knows what my renting situation would have ended up being! Do not rent from this organisation!

Have you ever felt like your house doesn’t have enough greenery or water features? If so, I wholeheartedly recommend renting with Jan Forster Estate Agents. JF understand that city life often means you don’t get to spend enough time in nature, so they let nature come to you! JF allow their tenants to live for months on end with mould; ivy growing through cracks in the structure; leaks; and damp. They ignore their tenants requests for these things to be removed, to the extent that four rooms in one family’s house were totally unusable. JF are so dedicated to the idea that we should all be communing with nature and the outdoors that they even served this same family an eviction notice for 10th December, sending them out onto the streets for Christmas.

Jan Forster have left a family in a damp, mouldy home for months. Now they are getting ready to evict them for complaining. Could you be more heartless, greedy and cruel than throwing a family, their children and their baby onto the street just before Christmas? Shame on this lot. They have no place in our city and we will not tolerate them leeching off of families to line their own pockets. Avoid them at all costs.

Imagine how morally bankrupt you would have to be to evict a family of six, including an eight month old baby, from their house 2 weeks before Christmas? Excellent service if you want a pesky baby out of the house just before Christmas, otherwise avoid!!!!!!!!!!

Left a household of 6 (including a baby) to live in damp and moldy conditions. 4 of the rooms unusable due to their condition. Children's toys damaged by the mold. Issued an eviction notice for 2 weeks before Christmas after Tennant submitted a complaint. AVOID this company like the plague.
