GoogleJames Laurence were recommended to me by several friends and therefore despite having high expectations they still exceeded them. Caroline Tiernan-Baker in particular as the sales progressor was exceptional. Despite some challenges selling a leasehold property, she worked tirelessly throughout to ensure we got to completion. Without her I don’t think it would have happened and despite all this hard work, she took the time to keep my informed. I really appreciate everything Caroline and Henry have done throughout the process. I would definitely recommend them.

GoogleThe team at James Laurence was very helpful when I tried to find an apartment in Birmingham. I was in contact with a different letting agency but things fell through and they couldn't help me. A colleague of mine recommended James Laurence Lettings so I emailed them immediately since I was was moving from Sweden and the move would take place in less than a week. The team at James Laurence responded within 5 minutes and managed to offer me a few different apartment-options. Things proceeded quickly and smoothly and just a few days later I had they keys to the apartment. James Laurence helped me every step of the way and went above and beyond to accommodate my requests. The only minor negative thing I can say is that the interntal communication could be improved a tiny bit. I received slightly different information depending on who I was speaking with at the time. When I said I received different information earlier the person I spoke to said she would talk to her colleagues and then get in contact with me later with the "correct" information which she did and the issue got solved very quick.

Having previously had a poor experience with Purple Bricks, I instructed James Laurence to help sell my property. I have worked with Henry throughout the whole process and have found him to be very professional and knowledgeable as well as being efficient. It can't be stressed enough how important this is to have an estate agent that responds quickly, negotiates well and truly understands the market (especially during uncertain times like recently with the cover pandemic). I have briefly worked with Caroline and some of the other team members who also seem to be very efficient and friendly. Thanks again to James Laurence who I would fully recommend to anyone looking to Buy/Sell in Birmingham.

GoogleCharlotte has been brilliant since our first contact. She showed genuine excitement for getting our property onto the rental market, supported us through a long journey to get it there, helped guide us on furnishing and other key decisions and ultimately got us our target rental value within a few weeks of the property hitting the market. We felt from day one that Charlotte has a genuine passion for what she does and this made working with her more personal than a lot of her competitors. Likewise we have seen Charlotte's energy and supportiveness echoed by the interactions we have had across the broader James Lawrence team - we are very happy to have chosen them to manage our rental property

GoogleHaving arrived in Birmingham to start my course at the university, with my husband and daughter we had a really difficult time to find accommodation and had to spend a month in a hotel. However the only agency that I found extremely welcoming and helpful was James Laurence. Melissa Richardson was so dedicated and made it her mission, like a friend to me, to get us moved as soon as possible and finally could finds us an excellent property. Melissa Wilson guided us with the referencing, moving in and specially addressing very promptly the issues we had in the first few days in the flat and Charlotte,leading the rental team, who onboarded us initially was also extremely helpful and patient with our enquiries. I can’t be more grateful to a brilliant team who made our move not only to new home but to a new country a lot less stressful. I highly recommend this agency and to the team I would say keep up with your great attitude, welcome and dedication to your customers.

GoogleI was very impressed with James Lawrence, who recently helped me find a perfect apartment. They have been very helpful to me. I came to the UK to study 3 months ago and was having some difficulties understanding UK housing laws. Even though my English is not that perfect and British laws are new to me, Melissa and Lottie helped me a lot. They were patient and cooperative. Also the apartment is very beautiful and spacious.

Looking for a place in the UK can be quite challenging, especially if you’re new here, but they made it so breezy. Melissa Richardson was lovely, attentive and gladly responded to every enquiry I’ve had. Thank you for helping me find my home! I would also like to point out that the pictures match the houses you see on their website, some look even better in real life, this is something I have felt was lacking in other agencies, which shows their high level of integrity.

GoogleWe recently switched from another letting agency to James Laurence, as we found their team so warm and friendly and loved the local aspect of the agency. The team have absolutely exceeded our expectations, making the changeover feel so seamless and finding new tenants for our apartment at really short notice. Lotti could not have been more wonderful to work with, going completely above and beyond to ensure our tenants could move in just before Christmas. We felt an immediate affinity with her and have so appreciated her attention to detail, quick thinking and creativity. She has made us feel so at ease, supported and like our property is in the safest of hands. Charlotte and Melissa have also been so helpful and lovely to deal with during the process. Having worked with several other agencies in Birmingham, I cannot recommend James Laurence highly enough. Look no further, they are the best!

Googlenot professional, 20 days after checkout date, they have not initiated the deposit return. Although having done the cleaning, they still deducted £250 without sending any evidences
