This is a long review but please read. My mother's bungalow of non standard construction needed to be sold to a cash buyer. I asked three local agents to come and see the property. Jeanette Churchill from Howards in Long Stratton stood out with her knowledge, professionalism and above all enthusiasm. She suggested an Open Day, which went extremely well. The bunglow sold from that event and it has been plain sailing all the way through. She kept me in touch with how things were progressing along with her able assistant, Cheyenne. I'm writing this review on behalf of my elderly mother, the sale of whose bungalow we entrusted to Howards. Within a day, we were paid a personal visit by Janette, who ran the entire sales campaign and gave us a hugely positive feeling about expectations and how the sales process would proceed. As mum was not in the best of health, Jannette focused on an Open Day approach so that all potential purchasers could see the property on the same day, with enough time between them to feel comfortable with the viewing, and also keeping mum away from the strain of having strangers in her home. Between the purchasers a bidding war began, pushing up the sale price to almost 10% more than the asking price. It also helped us decide on the right buyer for mum's home. Janette came in a day early to prepare the place to look at its best, and all progress was conducted through phone calls and a WhatsApp group we had set up, so we were always well informed. Good estate agents are particularly rare to find. I always recommend going on a few viewings to get a feel for the company and the sellers. I've had some shocking viewings by people who clearly don't have any interest in the job or the property they are selling!
