GoogleOn a positive note they will undoubtedly sell your house, which is their sole purpose after all, however in my opinion the experience was like selling a used car on eBay - the sale price doesn't matter as long as it sells (so they get paid their all important commission). Also, their aftersales and their partner solicitor firm were decidedly pedestrian. I wouldn't recommend them or be in a hurry to use them again, absolutely bang average...

GoogleI initially spoke to Kate at Lowestoft branch to discuss potentially letting my 4 properties with Howards. She was very informative and provided me with all the information I required to fill me with confidence in using Howards as my agent. From the very beginning I was able to speak to any member of the team in Lowestoft or Great Yarmouth and they were familiar with my properties and situation. This was very important as it can be frustrating to keep explaining things! The whole process was handled professionally and efficiently by the team ,Kate,Lara and Ben. The hassle was certainly taken away from me but I was always consulted along the way. Two of my properties have now been let successfully and I am certain the next two will also be handled with the same high standard of service.
I have been in regular contact with Amy Lugo at Lowestoft branch who has been exceptionally persistent and dedicated to ensuring a very drawn out purchase finally reached exchange today. Her patience and continued efforts have really helped . She has been very helpful and has provided exceptional customer service. Selling houses is easy but Amy has certainly been the driving force in bringing this sale to a conclusion!!

GoogleHorrible experience. Had made an offer on a house but retracted the offer and will never do business with Howards because of their tactics. I told Georgia 'no' four times when she kept forcefully pushing for me to meet their mortgage advisor Sam. I reiterated 4 times that my mortgage was being handled by Lloyds bank but she kept pushing and got Sam to ring me anyway so I told him I was happily locked in with Lloyds and he seemed to accept that but then he rang me again - ostensibly to get identity and proof of funds verification BUT also, he said, to discuss my Approved in Principle mortgage offer from Lloyds bank!! They wouldnt give up trying to force me to accept their mortgage brokering service. The calls were intrusive and repetitive. Georgia was like an encyclopedia salesman.There are a glut of houses on sale in Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth. It's a buyers market, so plenty of other houses and plenty of other estate agents to choose from. I retracted my offer of £120k on 130 Raglan street entirely because of Georgia's inability to back off, back down, and accept my choice to keep my mortgage with lloyds bank. I've bought plenty of houses before so I don't need a mortgage broker whose services cost hundreds of pounds! I'm disgusted with Howards and I would never use them for a house purchase. No doubt Georgia, Sam, or the office manager will respond to this post saying they 'only wanted to get me the best mortgage offer' and that they didn't repeatedly pressure me into accepting their mortgage brokering services but they did and I don't like that !! UPDATE: I see from the response below that someone from Howards has replied to my review. Their sly wheedling response Infers that my original negative review of their stone deaf pushysaleswoman Georgia, who ought to be out banging on doors flogging vacuums and encyclopedias, was somehow linked to the lovely tall slim and well dressed young lady who showed us around 130 Raglan Rd. She was lovely, polite, helpful and Informative and her name DEFINITELY wasn't Georgia. Georgia was the wheeling pushy old biddy with the rough voice who kept banging on about me using howards mortgage services. Why someone - probably Georgia herself, would respond to my review and attempt to confuse everyone by blowing smoke up their arses would, normally, be beyond me. But now I've read all the other negative reviews of GEORGIA AT HOWARDS I can quite j derstand her cheap tactics. They're sort.of dumb, poor, and boring. She's like woodworm drilling in through an old piano. She keeps on banging out the same old tune and ends up.blowing deal after deal. I feel sorry for all the other staff at howards. They're so nice, especially the slim tall pretty girl who was showing us around 130 Raglan and who had a flight to catch. She was lovely and had a cultured accent. Georgia sounded rough and worn out, like her last job had been as a taxi cab dispatcher working the grave yard shift with only a packet of ciggies for company.
In the end, I purchased four houses through my company, from a variety of estate agents, and thankfully none of them had any vacuum salesmen on their team. If you want a set of encyclopedias or a hoover on hire purchase ring Howards and ask for Georgia. But if you want to buy a house use anyone except howards!

Dear Sharon, I am always sorry to see any client has received a less than satisfactory experience especially a client that only 24hrs previous called into the branch and not only offered on a property but also mentioned "......how really sorry she couldn’t fill out the google review but wanted to let the managers know how amazing a staff member was, as she didn’t make her feel rushed or pressured, even though the staff member had a plane catch!...." As you mention in your review i am happy to respond, about our processes, which having listened back to the calls was explained that we would like to substantiate your position and go through your 'agreement in principle' you had with your current lender. We have a commitment to all our vendors that we will verify all clients financial positions, when they offer. This process allows us to give open and clear information especially on a property that has received multiple offers. Again i am sorry you feel disgusted with Howards, wanting to clarify your financial position and i am sorry you will never ever use us again to purchase a property. But i guess that is our loss and i wish you and the agent you choose to buy your next home every success and happiness.

A form was filled in incorrect due to an human error, was advised that holding deposit could not be refunded due to loss of time even though tenancy was not due to start until 14 days.
Complexed to where the loss of time was, spoke to Chris on the phone and was full of stuttering and no real explanation, was almost as if he was believing his own lies.
Trading standards have been contacted, avoid this company at all costs if you know the meaning of the word empathy.
