GoogleI had contact with many estate agents when I was looking for a property. I found that David from Howards was very helpful and friendly. He was knowledgeable about the area and gave useful information without being overly pushy. I would recommend using Howards.

GoogleSophie, Stuart, Amie and David were a great help. Had to sell my parents house due to them going into long-term care, and they made a stressful time much easier. Full disclosure, I do work for the same parent company that owns Howards, but my colleagues would tell you I'm not one to give praise unnecessarily. The whole team at Howards Gorleston are friendly, professional and very good at their jobs!

GoogleHowards conducted viewings, liaised with the vendor and carried out their duties well up to the 'searches stage' of our property purchase. However, my partner and I were astounded when we learned that the vendors had misrepresented their sale and did not possess legal deed and title for the house's garden that included a large shed, patio and access to the path at the rear for rubbish disposal etc. Howard's sided with the vendor who refused to reduce the price, even though this is obviously a serious problem, and the seller eventually withdrew. What really shocks us is that Howards continue to market this property in the full knowledge that the vendor does not own the garden. Indeed, their advertising gives no hint of this and strongly implies that this land is part of the sale. I am horrified that the agent is acting in this way after being informed of the situation by our solicitor and ourselves. The ethical and legal questions this raises must be obvious and I strongly advice those seeking an honest estate agent to look elsewhere.
Dear David, firstly I am very sorry you feel like this way and I can understand your frustration, this was a very rare isolated situation where our vendors did not realize that the garden area you are referring to was not on their deeds, they truly believed that is was part of the plot they owned, we take the instructions of our clients unless we are fully aware of anything contradictory to what we are being told, ultimately it is of course the owners decision on what price they are willing to accept and since the new information came to light every potential viewer was fully informed of the situation prior to viewing, again I totally understand your frustration considering the situation at the time you were purchasing the property and I can only sincerely apologize and wish you the best for the future.

GoogleWell after a prolonged period on the market and lots of viewings, Howard’s Gorleston office, found a buyer for my house. There was a prolonged period of “sold subject to contract “ which took approx 16 weeks to completion. Throughout this time the office staff, to include David, and Sophie, acted in a thoroughly professional manner, and kept me fully informed of viewings and various developments, as the sale progressed. All in all I have no qualms about recommending Stuart Lugo and his team at the Gorleston office, for a job well done. Malcolm B
