Easy experience from the start, lovely staff.The staff spent ages going through our options with us, they didn’t push for us to spend more money and it didn’t feel like a sales environment. Owen, the site manager, went above and beyond for us. Any questions were answered immediately, support we needed to sort snags, advice and pointing us in the right direction, nothing was too much trouble. A personal thank you to Owen for making our handover and initial snagging seamless. Having heard other experiences from friends and family about other site managers in new builds, we are delighted with Hawkhead. Owen, thank you so much. Caroline, Alison and Owen all deserve a special mention. Thank you all for making our move as it should be. We are loving our new home.

Would never recommend buying from this builder! At first this company couldn’t be more helpful until they have your money , once we moved in to our new home there was no end of issues from cracked sanity units leaking toilets , damaged appliances fitted , terrible finish on almost everything.Within a week of moving in we had a leaking toilet to which they came to repair and cut away at the kitchen ceiling to then find ceiling joists not fitted correctly, 8 weeks later we still have whole in the ceiling and apparently the plumbing contractor they use has gone bust so could repair until they found a new one yet there’s lots of plumbers working away on new homes still being built on the site. They apparently arranged for a plumber to come and fix issues so we waited all day yet no one tired up , we’ve contacted site manager on several times and had no response. Contacted customer service and you just get answering machine, you leave a message and no one gets back to.Back doors broken and we had to use holiday from work to be in home for someone coming to repair and on this occasion they did turn up with the wrong door so we are still waiting for that to be replaced, we have had no apologies for this and not been offered any compensation at all and are still waiting for response and repairs Avoid !!!

Great start to our house buying journey, however, fast forward to completion and that’s when things go down hill…. It seems once they have your money they become the most unhelpful company to deal with and no longer care. Customer service goes down the pan!We have had many many issues including breach of building regs and damage caused to our property. This has all amounted to £4,000 costs to ourselves in order to rectify. We have followed the correct complaints procedure and quite frankly some of the responses have been insulting. There has been no recognition of wrong-doing, inconvenience / distress caused or adequate compensation offered. Your offer of £500 simply does not cut it I’m afraid! Really disappointing at what should be an exciting time!
