I live overseas & am also disabled, so have huge challenges & require a little extra help & support. Really happy with the service I am getting as a client so far. The tenant in my property had not paid their rent on time, Lizzie and the team were very instrumental in ensuring payment was made by the tenant, despite the slight delay. I am also very pleased with the service that Ellie has provided. She has worked tirelessly in getting quotes for some repairs needed in my property and has already arranged and completed an urgent light fitting. I was very impressed with the thorough inspection report she provided, her timely and detailed responses to emails and ongoing general updates that I have been given by Ellie and the team. I couldn't be happier with this agency, they are indeed a cut above the rest and care for one's property like their own. Warning to other buyers Last weekend we travelled more than 5 hours to view a property advertised by this agency, believing we were about to see our future home. On arrival, we were informed that the property could not be viewed because the seller could not secure the property. Later, we were told that the owner had changed the locks without the agency’s knowledge. Unfortunately, we were not informed about this in advance, which made our journey completely unnecessary. After this, the agent told us that she would send a video viewing of the property, however no video was ever sent, nor did we receive any further update or explanation. We found another property advertised by the same agency at a similar price, which could have at least been shown to us via video viewing. Communication overall was very poor. I tried to contact the agent by phone, but my calls were not answered, despite the situation. I believe that after such an inconvenience, a proper conversation would have been the minimum courtesy. This experience was extremely disappointing and emotionally exhausting for us. We have since continued our search with other sellers. I am sharing this to warn future buyers to be cautious, so they do not experience the same situation we did.

Have just purchased our first house that was listed by Hollbrook & Co, Hartlepool branch. Terrible experience, I could go on & on but probably better just steering clear from them to be honest. No matter how much you love the house, save yourself the 6 months of stress. Crucial details: house was not listed as having a service rent charge (fleecehold), was only after an offer was put in & accepted that our solicitor made enquiries which lead to us finding out about it. Should of backed out at that point really… but we had our hearts set on the house by then. Couldn’t get in touch with Hollbrook all week on completion week. 20+ phonecalls, 0 answer. Had to ring our solicitor & get contact details for the seller to give us the keys directly. The poor sellers had the same rubbish communication from Hollbrook & their solicitor & had no clue they where meant to be out by 2pm. Leading to a stressfull day for them & us not getting the keys until about 5:30pm. So we ended up having to move in the following day. God knows what we would of done if we’d all had been in a chain.. Luckily we didn’t due to renting. We where first time buyers and the sellers first time sellers, so both had no idea what the “norm” is but I can’t believe your even allowed to operate like this & continue trading tbh..

We met with a few different agents and we just liked Alex from Castledene the best, he was friendly, relaxed, and we didn't feel pressured or rushed. Dear Castledene Great start to my mum's new flat. The service you provide for my mam has been excellent - the types of enquiries you've made to help have been great. You have a lovely property. Please take some time to look into tenants who have left a property to check if their rubbish bin is part of a neighbour's responsibility or by yourselves as my mam has noticed this the last few days and is now worried about certain pests. The rent net is correct as at 4 November 2022. They're was a delay on the first payment but that has been sorted now. The energy company British gas need to be aware that my mam was not in the property at the time of the billl that was sent out to her. A few things to mention: My mam struggles to get down the steps outside the building and has to hold onto my arm for support. The metre cupboard is missing a key and also for the outside gas metre cupboard Only had a few problems with woodlice which could have been connection to the rubbish bins situated out the back. I Tasked Louise and Alex in selling my house that i had not been able to sell for 5 years after using Online Agents, and Most of the Local Agents in Hartlepool. They listned to me from the Outset with the reasons why my house was not Selling (Long Standing, Historic Construciton Problems) and put a plan in to place not to waste my time anymore but also the prospective buyers time, we were all on the same page. which really helped from day 1. Within a matter of weeks, i had quite a few really good viewings, then finally we got the correct buyer, who was fully informed by Alex and Louise with all the Hoops that you would have to Jump through in order to buy a house With Unity 2 Contruction and what it would entail. This did not scare my buyer like the previsous attempts over the years they helped every step of the way. Everything has went sooo smooth and very Very quickly that myself and my buyer have been very impressed by the whole process from start to finish.
