GoogleWe were told to make an offer asap till the next day morning, because on the next day the agent was going to send all the offers to landlord and choose the tenants, and we did. However, it was a surprise that our agent had a day off that day, which means there was no sense in such a hurry. We made an offer to rent a property above the advised price because we had an additional request. Our offer was accepted along with our request. Later it turned out that our request could not be done, so we decided to proceed with the price listed in the first place. However, we were told that for us it is only possible to proceed with the increased price, despite the fact that we did not have any additional requests anymore. The property was advertised on the market again by the initial price, but then we were told again that for us this price is unacceptable, only the increased one.

GoogleListed my property with Hawes & Co for twelve whole weeks - they literally got me zero viewings. They didnβt even bother calling to check in, nor offer any advice. Most estate agents would at least suggest we lower the asking price - not these guys, they just leave you running on their books, tied in till your contract expires. Extremely unprofessional - would never recommend them to anyone.

GoogleI would strongly advise against Hawes & Co. They lured us to instruct them by overvaluing our flat. They then failed to produce a single viewing in the space of four months, even after lowering the price. We instructed another agent and had a vewing within a week. Then more and more viewings poured in, offers soon after, and we now have a buyer. In the mean time, the agent at Hawes & Co left and we were not even informed: nobody was looking after us for god knows how long. When we phoned in, all they cared about was to keep us on their book without doing any work to try and sell our flat. When I decided to give them notice, It took a week for me to speak on the phone to the branch manager, Sarah Walker, as clearly nobody cared. I later emailed her with a question, and to this day, over a month later, I still havenβt had a reply. In a nutshell, we wasted much time because of them, and their lack of courtesy really puts them to shame. There are many much better estate agents in Surbiton, so do avoid Hawes & Co.

GoogleI recently used Hawes & Co to sell my property in Surbiton. What initially started as a quick process turned into a surprisingly lengthy one due to issues out of our control further up the chain which resulted in considerable stress. Throughout I felt Hawes & Co were professional and, whilst they had the relationship with myself as the vendor, were also able to offer me objective advice. I found their fee structure competitive and transparent. The quality of the marketing and photos were absolutely excellent. Of particular note are Sarah Walker and Michael Gibson - both possess excellent local knowledge and Sarah particularly went above and beyond to ensure the sale went ahead. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
