We’ve had a superb service from Geraldine and the team. From the great photos that Fiona took combined with the brochure, to the viewings that led to a offer being made promptly. As with most house sales, there have been a couple of testing moments but the GTH team have been excellent and crucial in helping us resolve them. Their contacts in other local industries have proved vital in ensuring things were able to happen quickly as well. Dear Miss Duke, Further to our initial response, we have now had the opportunity of looking into this matter more thoroughly to understand what prompted your negative review of our services. We understand that your parents were purchasing a property through our Bridgwater office and unfortunately prior to completion, their selling agents released the keys to their buyers. There was then an unforeseen delay in completion and this left them without accommodation for a period of time. Please understand that with our refusal to release the keys of our property to your parents, we were protecting the best interests of our client, as their agents should have done also. Please be assured we did everything in our power to help. Now that you have successfully moved into your new home, we hope you will all be very happy there and we wish you the very best for the future. My experience with GTH was fine when we first started renting out our flat. But shortly after I called up and wanted to get advise on the mould that was starting to become a big problem. I was told that should keep cleaning and it’ll be fine. However I was cleaning this entire time, my boyfriend started to get health related problems with the mould which I mentioned, the response I got was ‘it’s not my problem’. I shrugged it off and kept doing the things and hoping it will ease a bit. Now that we found a new place, I gave in the notice etc. All of a sudden they are Charging me £150 for cleaning the carpets and when I called in And Amanda answered and I asked her how is that required from my end. She was very rude and unprofessional, stating that my English is bad. The level of discrimination I got is absolutely disgusting. I will never rent out with GTH. Dear Taemigi We are extremely disappointed to read your review of our lettings department. We have now had the opportunity of looking into this and feel we must point out to you that with regard to the carpets, the professional cleaning of them was written into the ‘Special Conditions’ of your tenancy agreement. You would have read and signed this document prior to moving into the apartment and therefore understood what was required when your tenancy finished. We also hold on file photographs that were taken at the property after you vacated, clearly showing that it had not been hoovered or cleaned when you left. We apologise if you feel that the condensation contributed to your partner’s ill health, however we found no evidence of mould in the property when you vacated. I can assure you that we take all accusations of discrimination very seriously and can only apologise if you feel that we treated you unfairly. Sometimes, when there is a language barrier it makes dealing with issues, such as yours, more difficult for both parties, however it is a matter that we will look into thoroughly and offer training where it is needed.
