This letting agent should be avoided at all costs. They allowed a family of 4 to stay in a 1 bedroom flat with no sound proofing between flats. They lied about there having been no complaints previously, forgetting that they'd already told us that the family had received complaints and were on their last warning. They asked for audio recordings of the issue which were sent to them and they then claimed that they weren't able to download them from the email. They received numerous complaints from us and did nothing about it, instead threatening to evict us if the situation couldn't be resolved amicably between tenants. The issue was that the property wasn't fit to live in with no insulation at all between floors or walls, the flat above was statutorily overcrowded and that they did not want to pay to resolve the issue - which they also acknowledged through email. A contractor visited on two occasions and both times advised us to leave the property. Only when they received threat of a complaint did they take 'action' which did nothing, only the bare minimum which they knew would make no difference and were told this by a contractor, but would protect them from any formal complaint. The whole property also has considerable damp and mould issues which has been raised with us by the neighbours below, the back garden has a permanently broken metal step which we had to fix ourselves to prevent someone injuring themselves on. People will be complaining about this property for the forseeable future unless they choose to listen and do something about it, which they won't, because they don't listen and don't care and they don't seem to have half a brain between all of them.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

Would often take our property manager (Sophie Mummery) several weeks to respond to urgent issues, such as severe mould that caused several health issues. Her slow responses meant having to deal with very damp, cold and smelly rooms for nearly 3 months. Took us nearly 7 weeks to get our deposit back, even though the property was left in an excellent condition and we were perfect tenants. It seemed the only way to get Sophie to carry out the basic tasks required of her job was when we threatened to get the council/tenancy deposit scheme involved. Property management Assistant, Natalie Davies, was far more helpful and responsive. The general admin (inventory, signing, etc.) was carried out fairly efficiently by Gordon and Co, but it's very worrying when even the bare minimum expected of an estate agent seems to be a massive struggle for them.NegativeResponsiveness
