I have owned a gleeson home for 3 years…

I have owned a gleeson home for 3 years now (2 bed Kerry) the actual house i am happy with. However the aftercare is terrible, 2.5 years to fix a defect reported on the day of purchase, false promises like will be there dot on 8am (no show) i think if they fix the aftercare they will have a good business model, however as it stands if someone asked me would i buy another gleeson home it would be unfortunately not due to the after care.

It’s crazy that Gleeson homes has taken…

It’s crazy that Gleeson homes has taken 6months to fix my garden. They have recently started work however they ripped the fence out my garden three weeks ago and it’s been left like this. No one knows when this work will be done or completed my driveway still hasn’t been fully finished it’s appalling. Gleeson homes need to sort out my garden, driveway and the smelly drainage. Have not really enjoyed my new home since moving in. No one really cares once you get the keys. It’s promises after promises. I’m absolutely sick of it. My garden is not level. The fence is of poor quality with massive gaps and no privacy. Sort this out!!

Gleeson Kilkenny 2022 - bought through Forces Property Direct

We reserved our Gleeson Kilkenny in February 2022 with the help of Forces Property Direct. From the moment we reserved our plot, Adam (Sales) kept us fully informed of the progress with our build, helped us pick our options and answered any questions we needed advice on. We completed in May 2022 instead of June so we were pleasantly surprised to be moving into our new home earlier than planned. We picked up a couple of small things on home demo day which were sorted before we moved in. This really set the precedent for things moving forward and Simon (Site Manager) has been extremely helpful throughout the whole moving-in process. Any issues we've had, he's rectified straight away, nothing is too much trouble for him. We are now almost a month after moving in and are very happy in our new home at the Sutton Heights development, a huge thanks to Adam, Simon and Dan, they are a credit to Gleeson Homes. *An added note, all of the issues we've experienced have been minor and just small things you might expect with a new build home.

It was exciting to reserve 2 bed property with Gleeson, booking process was really smooth and supportive. Great thanks to Victoria for making it easy. I was just little disappointed on 2 things1. No carpeting/ flooring is included in new built home otherwise expectation was home should be ready to move in.2. House extension conservatory is not permitted that in my case was desperately needed. It is starting stage,i am hoping journey with Gleeson will be as per commitment with completion and hand over in time.Thanks,

DO NOT BUY A GLEESON HOME!!! Worst experience of my life! Worst company to deal with, they just want your money and then wash their hands of you. So many issues from the reservation of our plot. They lie, cover things up and worm their way out of everything. If I could go back I would NEVER have purchased a home with Gleeson! Save your money and look elsewhere. The workmanship of actually building your house is shocking! Some of the poorest work I have ever seen in my life! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!

So far do good.We fell in love with one of there properties in Halifax, and placed an offer there and then.Everything happened at pace, and we where supported the entire time. If Gleeson Homes was a meal, it would be an undercooked steak, with raw chips, and a peppercorn sauce made of tomcats wee. I honestly wouldn't have one of thier houses for free. I'm not saying this to be clever or funny. I honesty have seen the amount of no love that goes into building these houses, and the fact they build in such rough areas in cities and towns just puts me off in an instant. I'm sick of tiling these 'council houses' because you can all do better. Atrocious builder. Fact.

Honestly? Shocking. With a two year warranty on the house. Still nothing will get repaired or fix. As emails indicate they “assume” it’s the home owners fault. - ceiling came through (my fault) - patio doors (15 months in. Now having a 3rd party come out and fix again) -master bedroom windows faulty. -front door faulty - 4 radiators fell off. -brickwork shocking. -bathroom tiles came off when I was in the bath. -(declined to fix so had to fix and pay myself) PLEASE DONT GO WITH GLEESON. ITS NOT WORTH, the hassle, time and money wasted. My site has had about 4 site managers. With these problems they lied about someone having a “7 hour check” on the house. Mine was actually missed. There was only 3 houses built at first and couldn’t be bothered to check mine. I was away with work and family members had to grab the keys. They didn’t realise they had to check the property with great detail. It’s a shame, everyone in my estate is complaining and nothing is being done.

Update: if you see below gleesons have apparently contacted me... No one has contacted me and it's just one more lie from this cowboy company - AVOID!!We bought our house just over 12 months ago on the Carlisle Park site, with so many problems I'm surprise the house is actually still standing at this point but that still hasn't really been dealt with and I doubt it ever will. Onto the newest addition to the Gleeson cowboy builders saga, they recently came and block paved the bottom of our road and were meant to be repairing the rest of the road after all the residents had complained about the state of it for over 12 month. And nothing was done. So the spent just over a month block paving and granted the block paving is spot on, however, in the process of block paving the ruined at least a dozens people's front gardens and left the rest of the road looking like a war photo from Ukraine! (Roads are probably better there) They have now proceeded to repair the front gardens in the same fashion that they "repaired" the road and when it's been brought up to the fantastic site manager he's proceeded to ignore everyone or block them! And then deny all knowledge he knew about the state of the road, I'd just like to add the site office was at the end of the road for 14months with a direct view of the road. It's about time Gleeson actually employed some decent knowable staff that will actually help residents rather than denying all knowledge so they look good to the directors on LinkedIn.

Ruined my garden!

In January you finally block paved our road. However you then noticed our garden was lower than the new level of the road, so today i came home and you have dug out the bottom of my garden and filled it with bark! What the hell! It looks awful! I cant believe you did this without consulting us! The propper thing to do would have been to higher the turf, but I imagine that would have been to much effort for your cowboy workforce! Absolutely furious and disgusted at what you have done to my front garden!!

I’m so delighted with my beautiful Gleeson home at Holbeck Park I purchased last year I was so happy with the service they provided, they were a few problems to begin with but half way through my journey sales executive Deborah Joined the company, and went that extra mile to help me, she gave me regular updates on a daily basis, she even called me on her days off to give me updates which made me happy. The support Deborah gave me made me relax a little knowing a could depend on her to help me through such a stressful time.
