We spent 4 months looking for a property to buy in St Albans and were registered with many agents and viewed at least 16 properties around the city. We missed out on a couple of properties and it helped us to learn how different agents operate. Frost's were among the clean estate agents which did not suggest that you had to sit with their in-house financial advisor to get a purchase offer put forward. For anyone who has missed out on a purchase, a frustrating aspect is often that you feel the estate agent did not represent you well enough to the seller and if you could have spoken to the seller directly, the house would have been yours. Sometimes, you get paid lip-service by estate agents who say they are trying their best for you, but you remain unconvinced. For two different properties, senior negotiator Stuart Dutton gave us full confidence through his actions that he was properly representing us when we instructed him with offers to purchase. In general, from our search through to completion, Stuart was always helpful and made us feel he was working for us also. Stuart’s approach to working with clients, in our opinion, is exemplary for the role of an estate agent and we are grateful for his assistance throughout the journey. After our offer was accepted, Sarah Valentine was diligent in working towards completion and Pauline was helpful with pre-exchange viewings. All in all, Frost's have demonstrated good ethics, professionalism and a willingness to serve.

I decided quite out of the blue to sell my flat and look for a bigger property in St Albans and I'm so pleased I chose Frost's to do it. They had a wealth of experience and knowledge about the market and were unflinchingly helpful throughout. However most importantly during the process are always the people. Stuart Dutton assisted me on both the selling and buying process and is without a shadow of a doubt the main reason I managed to get the wonderful property that I did. His positivity and proactive nature kept me sane and he always welcomed my (far too) regular calls to the office was completely unflappable even when I wasn't! He kept everything moving along exceptionally well, never letting anything drop and always made sure I was in the loop on everything. The most important thing about Stuart is that he isn't just selling your house or convincing you to buy one to make money like some estate agents do, he actually cares and treats you like a friend. The service I received from Stuart and his colleagues was second to none and I have no reservations in recommending Frosts to anyone.

I have recently purchased and sold through Frost's. From start to finish of the process I was very impressed with Frost's professionalism and detailed understanding of the St Albans property market, this was continuous with all members of the Frost's team I came into contact with during my sale/purchase. I was particularly impressed with Frost's ability to see the bigger picture with residential transactions and the timescales that everyone was working to and being able to balance out everyone's expectations quickly and clearly in negotiations. This ensured the chain held together and was processed quickly with minimal confusion that naturally happens when you add Solicitors, Banks and Surveyors to the process. From the outset, David at Frosts was very approachable and sympathetic to our particular circumstances. I already had a idea of how I wanted the property to be marketed and we talked this through as well as other options, but agreed that a single Open Day for viewing, followed by a time limited 'Best Bid' should (and did) result in a smooth and speedy sale at a price which we were very happy with. Events however over took us and delays were inevitably encountered when we needed to obtain a Grant of Probate. David and his team's support throughout this difficult period was fantastic, there was no pestering, we simply kept in touch on a weekly or bi-weekly basis to 'touch base', and the buyers were kept informed all the way through. Once things started to move again, we were able to Exchange and Complete in a short period of time and again David and his team were fantastic and everything went through smoothly with regular liaison taking place with our Conveyancers (Frosts Conveyancing). They even helped to find a last minute 'house clearer' at a very reasonable cost who came the same day to take some last minute overlooked items away. In all, exceptional service - David didn't even mind when I inadvertently called him whilst he was on Paternity Leave! I would highly recommend using Frosts Harpenden. They are professional, courteous, easy to relate to and in my opinion were the very opposite of the stereo-typical Estate Agent. They helped collect necessary paperwork and when needed, scanned these for us electronically for transmission to our Conveyancers. The selling of the family home is often not easy, but David and his team never lost sight of this and helped whenever and where-ever they could.

I have recently rented out my house for the first time with Frosts Harpenden. I was pleasantly surprised that the team were able to secure fantastic tenants within such a short time frame. If I could give this company a '0' star rating I happily would. On 2 different occasions we have arranged viewings for properties to then be told the property had already been let, after we've traveled 2 hours to view them. On another occasion we made a viewing and were told en-route that they would be rearranging the viewing for a Saturday 'as its more convenient' for them. Of the 3 properties we did view, one woman was nice and polite, another turned up late then didn't have a clue what she was talking about and the same woman at the final property gave the impression she didn't want to be there. We actually considering taking one place that these guys were offering, but upon reviewing their fees we thought twice (just under £700 for two people). There are plenty of other estate agents in St. Albans, and I would much rather trust them with my money than this bunch of crooks.

Constantly burried head in the sand when asked if they manage the property, to this day the Landlord claims they do, Frosts claim the opposite. For 3.5yrs they stated they did not. Ended the tennancy and they want a check out fee after I instigated the check out procedures and contacted and arranged the end of tennancy viewings. I paid for the phone calls and took time to organise, Frosts sit back, do nothing and collect a fee! To be honest, not only a poor letting company, but a poor company to deal with. My experience with the lettings section was frustrating. They are not the polished outfit the website sells. Be warned.
